94 Diagon Alley

Chapter 61: Festival

Head, "They guessed it all wrong!" Gwen muttered softly.

"If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes on the map yesterday," George whispered, "I would have come to the same conclusion as them—you can't expect me to treat Snape under his abuse. Human nature has a tinge of expectation…”

"Fifty points from Gryffindor - for eavesdropping at the door of the classroom and insulting the professor." A hissing voice came from behind them.

Gwen was so frightened that he almost didn't confess in the corridor on the fourth floor.

Fortunately, when they turned around, they found that the guy pretending to be a ghost is Sirius who has been wandering around Hogwarts Castle recently.

He pushed the backs of the two and left Harry at the door of the classroom where they were.

"Mr. Black, what are you doing?" Gwen wondered, "We're looking for Harry—"

"I'm afraid not, dear children." He sounded like he was joking, but his eyebrows were furrowed. "Let me ask a question first, do you have the Marauder's Map on you?"

Gwen and George were silent for a while, and then George asked back, "How is the moon face lately?"

"Your old professor is busy with his hairy little problem recently." Sirius raised his eyebrows recklessly, "I appreciate your prudence, George."

George breathed a sigh of relief, "Okay, here I am." Then they were led by Sirius half-pushed and half-guarded to the familiar stone beast on the eighth floor.

"Headmaster Dumbledore wants to talk to you," Sirius said to them before the spiral staircase, and read the password aloud: "Syrup Flan."

Gwen looked at his boyfriend with a question mark on his face, and then buzzed in a mosquito-like voice: "Our esteemed principal has good taste."

George is observing the spit-mouth stone beast with great interest: "You said we were dating here before, can they see it?"

When the drip-mouthed stone monster heard the correct password, it jumped aside and yawned in response to George's question: "Yes, we saw it from beginning to end, boy."

Sirius climbed the spiral staircase one step at a time, "Come in," Dumbledore called. He reached out to push the door, but the door was pulled open from the inside, except for the headmaster, Snape, who was not in class at this time, was standing there.

"Please sit down, Mr. Weasley and Miss Ollivander." Dumbledore's soft voice came slowly, making Gwen, who was a little nervous at the sight of Snape, suddenly calm down down. The great old man was watching them through his half-moon eyes, and after a moment he seemed relieved. "Severus told me some of your interesting discoveries."

Sirius became a little irritable when he saw Snape's tightly wrapped black robe, as if he could rush up and take a bite if anyone didn't pull him. When Snape heard the words and snorted coldly, he really couldn't sit still.

Dumbledore noticed his movement and immediately reached out his hand to motion him to sit down, "Why don't you tell me yourself?" He looked at Gwen and George with encouraging eyes.

Gwen stammered under the attention of the three grown-up wizards in the office—all powerful in her opinion—“This thing starts with the beginning of school, for the first time. When I see Professor Moody, I feel very ominous..."

"The point, Ollivander." Snape raised one side of his upper lip and managed to intimidate Gwen with only two teeth showing.

"The point is that we believe that the current Professor Moody is a fake: firstly, his wand is not his own; secondly, he infiltrated Professor Snape's private storage room several times to steal the medicinal materials; Again, the released elf from the Crouchs saw him, but was bound by the contract to not testify; finally..." Gwen babbled it all like pouring beans, until the last point, she wasn't sure if she could give it to the headmaster Look. What if the Marauder's Map was confiscated?

George looked calm, and took out the Marauder's map from his robe, "I solemnly swear that I have bad intentions." At that moment, the expressions of everyone else in the office were very exciting. Professor Snape's face was green like an armadillo's bile, Sirius pointed his nostrils proudly at him, and Dumbledore looked at the dense parchment with interest.

"Finally," George pointed with his wand to two names in the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor's office on the third floor, "we believe that the intruder posing as Professor Moody is Barty Crouch."

Snape threw himself on the table, his nose on the parchment. He didn't seem to believe his eyes. As for Sirius, he was busy digesting the information of the explosion while trying to drive Snape away to see the Marauder's map he made and improved.

Gwen noticed that the three old guys (?) were waiting for them to hand over the map, and then presumably plotted something that the students should not know, and said decisively and loudly: "Professor, But we don't see any reason for Mr. Crouch to sneak into Hogwarts!"

Sirius, who was carefully observing the Marauder's map, was startled, but Dumbledore didn't seem surprised, but looked a little worried.

George also continued the discussion, "Whoever is pretending to be Professor Moody, he must have a conspiracy. We think the biggest conspiracy this year is the Triwizard Tournament - maybe he took Harry's The name was thrown into the Goblet of Fire."

Sirius also thought of this, and his face turned white.

Headmaster Dumbledore did not answer this question directly, but raised another: "I think we can listen to the story of the elf first, I think what you are saying is that this year I am a new hire for the school elves. Right?"

Gwen nodded, "That's right. It's called Winky, and I've always felt ashamed and guilty of being kicked out by my master, and Dobby works with it a lot, so I asked them to help me keep an eye on who it was. Stealing potion materials in the middle of the night."

Gwen swears she sees Snape rolling her eyes at her, so she can be sure that after the O.W.L.s she won't have to deal with the Potions professor again.

"Winky saw a wizard open the lock, just before Christmas, but he wouldn't say a word and kept punishing himself." Gwen recalled Winky's performance carefully, Suddenly, a flash of light flashed, and a sentence appeared in her mind. "'Little Master needs Winky's help!', it once said 'Little Master'." After saying this, Gwen himself was a little annoyed. Is this word really useful?

George's eyes lit up, "I don't think the aged Mr. Crouch is his little master."

Alright, now Professor Snape's face is as purple as scorpionfish spinal fluid. He turned his head to stare at Dumbledore, but wouldn't say a word.

Even Sirius, who had been jumping up and down, was quiet. Even though he and his nemesis, Snape, seemed to be at odds with each other, at the moment he kept his mouth shut and looked only at Dumbledore.

The old principal's brows furrowed even more, but he seemed to think more and further, and immediately decided to let Gwen and George end the discussion, otherwise they would have guessed everything.

"Thank you very much, Miss Ollivander and Mr. Weasley." The benevolent white-bearded wizard smiled, "If I hadn't been able to reveal it now, I would really like to serve Gryffindor Add points…"

"If only we could add back the points we deducted." George immediately hit the snake with the stick.

Dumbledore laughed even more happily, "Ah, young man..." He glanced at Snape quickly, and probably knew who and what reason the young couple had been deducted from points. "I'd love to, but the stone beast at the door complained to me that someone was nearby..." He shook his head with a wry smile, "Two little wizards, I think you should go to lunch. The elf told me that there was a very good fire at noon today. Chicken thighs and cranberry pie."

Gwen and George didn't want to leave just like that, but it seems that if they don't leave, these professors and parents will not speak. So they could only pretend to understand the headmaster's suggestion intimately, and Gwen's stomach even growled in cooperation.

"Finally," Dumbledore crossed his long fingers in front of his chin, and winked playfully, "smart little ones, I hope you will keep Harry a secret. Curiosity is not a sin, he said, "but we should be careful when we are curious...really..."

George was a little dissatisfied with this, but he didn't say anything when he saw Sirius, he could only frown and lead Gwen down the spiral staircase.

Out of the principal's office, George was still serious. Gwen stroked his chin with his fingers.

"I just have 10,000 words to say, let me wield." The little girl touched her temples with both hands, "Do you think we can eavesdrop?"

George walked away with long legs, "The stone beasts at the headmaster's door are almost mature, don't think about it."

"Second question, why do you look so scary." Gwen was a little afraid to look at George.

George sighed, looked around warily, and tried to be less obvious to his girlfriend: "After you quoted the elf, the atmosphere changed. They were at that time. Ready to kick us out."

Gwen rolled his eyes, "Because the next thing is too dangerous?"

George blinked in agreement, "I didn't think in that direction before. But if it's true, Gwen. We'd better stay away, it's not something the two of us can interfere with …”

"Are you really George Weasley?" Gwen squeezed his hand.

"...The two of us know too much, and we will reveal too much." He squeezed back hard. "Take your little head, Gwen. Think about the words of the elf, the words on the map, who is the least likely to be suspected—but if it's him, the situation is very dangerous."

    Gwen is not around
