Episode 81 – Complaint Receipt

A judge named Hans, who turned 30 this year, was working in the Supreme Court of the Bregern Empire.

He graduated with honors from the Royal Academy and served for three years as a judge in the district court before being assigned to the Supreme Court of Tin Taluna.

In addition, his job at the Supreme Court was to read the complaints submitted to the Supreme Court every day.

Sueing was the first action a person had to take in order to resolve a problem between himself and another person through the law.

However, it takes about a month to solve the problem by going through legal procedures.

The meaning of going through legal procedures was that the person who filed the complaint needed time for the judge to confirm the damage to persons and property or other offenses committed by the accused.

This was impossible in a day or two.

For that reason, most of the complaints were rejected unless it was a problem that required legal procedures.

However, in order to reject this complaint, you must write down the reason for rejecting the complaint.

This was absolutely impossible with poor legal knowledge, so it was customary to entrust the judge in charge of the complaint to the judge with the best grades.

“Hmm?”

It was an astounding coincidence that Alberto’s complaint was visible to Hans, who had become the judge in charge of the complaint.

The word “Royal Academy” Written in the first sentence of the complaint caught Hans’ attention.

So he brought Alberto’s complaint and began to read it slowly.

And, as soon as he read the first sentence of the complaint, he noticed that the person who wrote this complaint or who helped write it was no ordinary person.

Curious about the name of the person who wrote this complaint, Hans checked the name of the complainant at the very beginning of the complaint.

“Alberto Salihar Maydern?”

Hans read aloud the name of the accuser written at the beginning of the complaint and expressed his doubts.

Surely, in his memory, this man named Alberto was known as a genius swordsman who showed amazing skills at the Royal Academy.

Hans knew all too well how great the level of sword expert intermediate was.

Why? If you ask me, it was because Hans was also a graduate of the Royal Academy.

Of course, there were times when he also had conversations with students from other departments while living at the academy.

It was a piece of knowledge learned in the process, but nevertheless, how great this state of being an expert was was deeply embedded in his mind.

Hans questioned this.

‘I’m sure he’s a swordsman, but why can I feel his intelligence in every single sentence?’

The so-called ‘geniuses’ he had seen so far, the martial arts cadets, were smart, but there was a reaction saying that they were not good at making smooth sentences.

However, the complaint written by this person named Alberto was written in a very elegant handwriting, and even each sentence and each word was highly complete, as if it had been corrected and corrected by an expert.

‘And the way this sentence is structured…… It’s too similar to Professor Bolun’s?’

And, it consisted of sentences very similar to the sentences written by former Chief Justice Volun, which Hans had to watch terribly at the Royal Academy.

Once Hans saw this, he took out of his desk drawer the law textbook he still looks up every time he reviews the legal errors in the complaint.

[Introduction to Imperial Law]

[Author: Voldun Veritas Olo]

It was an introductory book on law written by Chief Justice Voldun, a former Chief Justice.

He took out an introduction written in an introduction to law and read it.

And, I compared the first sentence of the complaint.

‘This book was written by myself, who has lived as a judge for many years, for future legal experts studying at the Royal Academy. ….’

‘This complaint is because I, who is studying at the Royal Academy, believes that the internal mediation system alone is not enough to resolve this case, feels the need for a legal solution, and knows the importance of it… ….’

A few sentences written in the introduction to law and the complaint were too much the same.

Looking at it, Hans could recall the past, at the Royal Academy, when he took an introductory course in law.

‘The basis for writing a complaint is that the reason why you have written this complaint should be stated at the beginning. Because, the complaint is, in the end, because you want to solve your problem through the law. Therefore, it is best for him to write a complaint at the beginning of what caused him to write a complaint.’

‘The person taking this class will be a judge or a lawyer later on, so if I had to tell you something that would be especially helpful, the standard for rejecting a complaint is to see whether or not the complaint form was followed. Complaints from those who keep the form are accepted; if not, they are rejected.’

‘And, at the end of the complaint, always write down the person who helped write the complaint. Because, in order to submit the complaint, you must be certified by a legal expert. Please remember that if someone who does not qualify as a legal expert writes a complaint, it will be rejected unconditionally.’

‘That’s why many people visit legal experts. Otherwise, you cannot file a complaint. This is compulsory by law, and if you don’t comply with it, you won’t be able to file a complaint because it’s a violation of the law.’

Recalling the lecture given by Chief Justice Volun, Hans felt his hand touch the arrangement of the words in this sentence.

So, he held up the complaint and checked the contents behind it.

“Um… ….”

And there.

[Complaint Review Legal Expert: Volun Veritas Olo]

The name of Bolun, the teacher who taught Hans, was written on it.

Looking at it, he gently set the complaint down on the right side of his desk.

[Where to put the complaint to be filed]

That was the place to file a complaint that was judged to have no legal problems.

Putting the complaint down on the right side of the desk, Hans thought to himself.

‘Albertora… …. If Master steps forward and advises you on the law, it must mean that you are close to each other in some way. When the judge in charge is decided, can I give you a little hint?’

If Horus and Darius knew about it, they would probably jump and jump in anger, but what about it?

This is why people go to experts when they have something that needs to be resolved.

From noble mtl dot com.

[Notified by the Supreme Court of the Bregern Empire.]

[Notice that your complaint has been successfully filed.]

With the complaint successfully filed, a letter was delivered to me stating that a trial date had been set.

Indeed, thanks to the help of Grandpa Bolun, the complaint was never rejected.

[Therefore, I inform you that the trial will be held in the Supreme Court of Tintaluna in 4 days.]

The trial started 4 days later, and probably a letter containing the same content was delivered to Horus and Darius.

[If you do not come at the appointed time, it may be considered an insult to this court, so please come earlier than the appointed time.]

[The trial will proceed as scheduled even if the complainant does not come, but we ask that you attend as much as possible for a smooth trial.]

From the letter sent to me by the Supreme Court, it seemed that the trial was proceeding normally without my presence.

“Grandpa Volun. Why is the trial going on without the accuser being present?”

“In the old days, there were cases in which a trial was canceled because those who had a grudge against the holding of a trial harmed the complainant. So, to prevent that, the law was amended by the decree of His Majesty the Emperor, and now, when the accused murders the complainant, a punishment more terrible than the death penalty is demanded.”

In short, it means that it is for the personal protection of the person who filed the complaint against the accused.

“Something that would have ended with paying a reasonable amount of compensation was exacerbated by the fact that the accused threatened the complainant. Well, it’s like self-employment.”

At the same time, Grandpa Volun only laughed.

“When his grandfather saw it, what do you think this trial will look like?”

“That’s right, as long as nothing happens, your victory is certain. I’ve never seen anyone in my life who gathered evidence so meticulously.”

“Is that so?”

I was relieved to hear the words of Grandpa Bolun, a former Chief Justice.

“My name is stuck in the complaint, and no one can ignore this. Even though he is retired, he has a great influence in this world.”

I nodded as I listened to Grandpa Volun’s self-praise.

Because Grandpa Volun was a decent person.

The only thing left for me was to attend the trial in four days.

Then, see you in court, Horus. Darius.

Because you’ll be able to see their faces rotting away in real time.
