Absolute Loyalty

"Your highness , why are you keeping him in a tent without guards ? What if he escapes? We should just kill him and be done with it. He injured 2 guards! If we let him be it will leave bad impression on soldiers"

First thing Foulque did after entering tent was to complain about princess's order after what happened inside tent yesterday . Princess just ordered treat commoner man who dared to act violently in front of royal family as guest and put him in a tent without assigning any guard and dismissed council right after so he did not have any chance to voice his own thoughts.

But what he was most surprised was Blood Knight Arminel did not complain or voiced any objections to princess order after what other guy did to him.

He was a titled knight ! which means he is commander of at least 10000 soldiers! Not to mention nobles even royal family members do not take lightly titled knights... if he wanted a man dead he could easily kill him even if other person has noble status, yet he just quietly left after receiving princess order.

Also Arminel was not any ordinary titled knight but one titled by King himself which means he doesn't need to obey Princess order if he want to.

"Sir Foulque if you didn't notice yesterday we were spared by him... He beat Sir Blood knight Arminel in just brink of an eye. I am sure you know how strong titled knight can be . No ordinary person could do it, even most capable of knights aren't able to do it unless they outnumber titled knight with 10 to 1 .

So only explanation is he is as strong as blessed knight. If he wanted to escape he could have done it with so many ways, for example killing everyone and leave quietly after that, or kill all others and kidnap me then use me as hostage while he escape. But he didn't do that and whole situation is caused by simple mistake.

Even in whole kingdom we have only 5 blessed knight so its only natural treat him with some respect. Don't you agree Sir Blood knight Arminel?"

Princess looked sideways where Arminel stood calmly . Arminel said with serious look "Its exactly as you say Your highness, He is certainly as strong as blessed one, I couldn't do anything, it happened too fast.. "

"Someone as strong as blessed knights?" Foulque muttered with fear in his voice while staring blankly at both princess and Arminel . He thought what his father said to him about blessed ones . "Blessed humans are people who were born with greatly boosted ability such as reflex, eye sight , hearing , muscles , healing, thinking speed , agility , body control, strength. When they fight they are unmatched in all ways and no person can match them unless they are also blessed one . They represent their kingdom's strength and granted title of Blessed Knight by Kings ". But how come such person came to floating above river while being n.a.k.e.d ?

Arminel cleared his throat and said "Your highness , We are very lucky to encounter with blessed one. If you can convince him to accompany us back to capital, King can grant title to him and Kingdom will have 6 blessed knights! War with white eyes being this close having one more blessed knight will surely be great help to His majesty and Kingdom"

Princess glanced at Arminel and furrowed her brows while saying " I also agree with you , but its useless to prevent me fighting with Wolfman pack using this as reason . I know war with White eyes is approaching but i think there is enough time for us to deal with Wolfman before war with White eyes begin.

We just need to wipe out this pack as soon as possible after that we will head back to capital . We need to move out today, i know soldiers had only one day to rest but time is short so order your men to be ready to move at moments notice. I am going to talk with blessed one by myself and try to convince him to fight for Kingdom. After that we will move towards summit right away"

"But Your highness its too dangerous to talk with him alone!" Foulque cried out. But princess seemed to not care and just waved her hands as if saying meeting is over.

"Sir Her highness wants to meet you" one of soldiers said outside the tent .

"Her highness? Are we meeting Charlotte now? Wow i never imagined to meet Charlotte when she is princess you know! Remember first time we met her? Kael even wiped out whole group of human traffickers just to get her... Ah fun times.. Now she is princess you know a real Princess! "

"Yes i know, I wanted to avoid meeting her if possible . But its impossible to not to because we need to accompany her wherever she goes, Kael wants us to protect her. And it seems Charlotte is going to fight werewolves we can't let her out of our sight"

"Come on Cass ,Did Kael really said that he wanted to protect Charlotte? After what she did to him? She got pregnant with another man while we were on mission you know ! And she even shot us to death ! I am going to kill her even if she is now princess , she need to pay heavy price for breaking Kael to pieces."

"Yes he did , I also want to make her pay but Kael asked us to guard her and you know the rules Itami"

"Yes , Yes i know the rules , We do not mess with each others woman right? But man just thinking what Kael has gone through makes me want to cry , He is too soft on her... If i were him i would torture her till she begs for her death then i will keep torturing her till she is dead! "

"Well who knows, you may get the chance if Kael changes his mind.. Lets just go meet her and hear what she has to say"

"Ahh right she did say something about werewolves to Kael right? Wolfman was it ? I want to keep few of them for myself and train them with pain . Having werewolf as pet will be really interesting... How wonderful this world is! There is no camera ,fingerprint and police. We get to kill whoever in whatever way we want to! Its literally dream world! Don't you think so Cass? Here we can use our skills fullest! "

"Sure it is wonderful world for you . And in the future you may get countless chance to torture people since we need to collect information if we are to stay in this world. And we may even need to wake up Isano quite few times. "

"Really? I look forward to that ! Having to wake him up.. This world is so wonderful! Kael don't want to hurt Charlotte right so can we kill others? Like that red haired guy or that shiny brat? "

"No at least not for now.. If we have to i will let you take over after i beat them, and you will have to get intel out of them . But we will not act unless they force us so don't put your hopes up too much. Now i am going to go to meet Charlotte so please do me favor, be quite for a while. It will take half of my attention when i am talking with you, it causes my reaction speed drop to level of Kael's "

"Alright , alright let's just go see her already i promise i will be a good boy and keep my mouth shut"

Cass got out of tent and followed soldier to Princess's tent . Every soldier who saw him had hostility in their eyes, he just smiled at them which raised their hostility even more . But soldiers didn't try to come closer they just kept their distance from him and whispered to each other as he passed by . Cass was sure if not for Princess order they would have already attacked him, at this thought his lips curled upwards .

Finally when they reached outside of the tent soldier stopped and made gesture to enter the tent . Cass went inside tent and to his surprise Charlotte was sitting inside tent alone with no guards . What a bold move after what happened yesterday shouldn't she be on her guard against us? How come is she meeting with us just by herself? The guards outside will take too much time to come, if i attack her here it will be too late when guards show up .

Just as he were wondering about this Princess got up and curtsied with with her hands on her c.h.e.s.t. Cass just nodded back while looking at her closely . Black colored kimono like warrior clothes fitted her perfectly, also with 2 swords in her sides she built impression of very capable samurai look . And as always her beautiful red eyes with her blonde hair makes her look fierce even though she is just a shortie .

Back in old world whenever he looked at her he would wonder how could such weak little girl look so imposing but now the girl is strong both in appearance and mind . This girl in front of him seems to posses strong will and skills to back it up , but i am not sure how can she handle sword with those slender tiny fingers of hers...

"Thank you for coming to meet me Sir ..."

"My name is Kael Kertia , Also no need to be polite with me. And please forgive me if i offend you with my manners. I am not used to talk with royalties "

"Not at all Sir Kertia , I wanted to meet you because i have a favor to ask of you"

"Is that so , What do you want from me? I will try to help you if i can"

"As you may know Rimun Kingdom is going to face against White eyes huge army. Their attack this time is very fierce, scouts reported at least army of 3 million is moving toward the Walls . And this time leading the armies is none other than their Crown Prince Harlo Iskar bringing at least 4 blessed knights with him .

And because of this Kingdom couldn't afford to send troops to deal with Wolfman pack in western borders . So i brought my personal army which numbers around 750, and because of numbers being too low i asked my childhood friend Knight Foulque to bring his army with him and join me as well . And he brought 1300 members from his own army leaving rest to guard his place .

Also after knowing i sneaked out of the capital my father sent one of his titled knight Arminel , due to being in hurry he only brought 5/1 of his own army which numbers around 2 thousand . Thus making our total number 4 thousand but to beat Wolfman pack you need at least 3 times more numbers than them .

But i believe we can still beat them with our numbers only that we will suffer heavy losses while doing so."

After saying all these princess paused for a while looking at Cass . Cass didn't really understand what white eye is or what blessed knights are but he just remained quiet . So princess continued:

"After you defeated one of titled knights effortlessly we confirmed you are one of blessed ones . But i am sure you don't know meaning of this . i noticed you are not a person of 6 kingdom yesterday when you asked about Wolfman because its impossible to not hear about Wolfman if you are living in one of the 6 kingdom .

But we don't know any human kingdom or settlement existing other side of the wall... But that is not important.. let me explain to you what blessed knight or titled knights are. Every Knight are nobleman or their sons who have at least 2 thousand soldiers under his control .

To become Knight you have to have good family background and very good skills with your sword . Then to become titled knight you can enter tournament which held every year and you have to beat at least 10 knights in the tournament.

Only about 10 - 20 of participants emerge as titled knight safely each year . Because of harshness of tournament even if you beat other knights its over once you get serious injuries and most of them end up being unable to fight during rest of their life .

Even fair fight can cause you to lose your life , not to mention underhanded methods like poisoning or ganging up. After becoming titled knight you will earn rights to command over ten thousand soldiers from kingdom and a town to rule over as reward.

But no matter how hard you try normal person can't become blessed Knight . Blessed knights are born with blessing of god and every skill of them are far above than normal person . Only a blessed knight can stop another blessed knight in battle because of this they are regarded as strength of the Kingdom.

If a person who is blessed by gods found in Kingdom he will be titled as Blessed Knight by the King and earns right to command over 100.000 troops and gets income of big city as their personal salary. Currently Kingdom of Rimun has 5 blessed knights " reaching here princess paused little then after taking deep breath she said "So i ask you to pledge your loyalty to the Kingdom and earn glory of the Blessed Knight title" then she looked directly at Cass and waited for his answer.
