Absolution In Multiple Worlds: The Sins Of Arthur Winc.h.e.s.ter

-Alice's POV-

"Come on Alice, we're almost out of the wood."

A man in a trench coat was running is my father...he seem to be upset at what's happening around the world, people killing and eating one another....I'm scared...I want to see mother, Dad told me that mom is safe and we're gonna meet up with her.

I once saw a kid my age got torn apart by the other students...they seem sick. I start to tear up my father seeing this made try to comfort me.

"Hey kiddo, we'll be fine alright for now we need to find a place to crash. Then after that we'll meet up with your mother. and-"

We heard a noise coming from behind my dad, dad took out his weapon to defend ourselves.

"Wh-who's there? come out, I'm armed."

We slowly walk towards the source of the noise, I was holding tightly on dad's coat. Then we saw him....a handsome boy.

"Evening, lovely night for a stroll."

The boy greets us causing my dad to feel confuse, he then walks towards a vending machine and bought multiple drinks. He pass be a can of drinks to us and casual leave.

"W-Wait!...who are you? and what are you doing out here alone?"

"Hmm...I came here for a drink then I saw you and your daughter and I thought to myself, 'wow it's been awhile since I saw someone my age.' So I decided to pop by and say hi, what about you is your home nearby."

"No. Our house is far plus it's full of sick people."

I answer him while hiding behind my father...he seems nice. My dad however was suspicious.

"Pop by...don't you know how dangerous it is at the moment? you could have been killed."

The boy then continue to drink casually, then we hear scuffling and shambling behind us. I turn and my eyes shrunk in fear, I tugged my father's coat alerting him. He too became frightens for what he saw.

A large infected is walking towards us, it has sense us and charge right at us. My dad stood in front of me clenching his teeth.

"ALICE! GO WITH THE BOY AND RUN! FIND A PLACE TO HIDE! GO!."

"DAD! LET'S RUN!"

"GO! NOW! HEY KID PLEASE TAKE HER AND RUN!"

My dad was prepared to die for me...I don't him to die..I don't want him to be sick. I turn to the boy with tears from my eyes, it is then I notice something. The moment the boy saw my tears, his eyes blacken like a dark night. I saw him walking towards the monster holding a knife.

"Step back!"

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? RUN!"

My dad tries to pull him away from the monster. The boy then threw an empty drink can at it then threw a knife, piercing it. The knife stuck to the monster's body with an empty drink can.

"Killer Queen."

He raise his hand and from what I see...he looks like he's imagining he's holding something. He then press his thumb on his hand.

*CLICK*

*BOOM*

Our eyes widen for what we saw...the monster blew up in front of us leaving nothing behind...He then turn to us and told us to follow him. My dad nods without hesitation. As we walk, my father has been constantly asking him question. He introduced himself as Arthur Winc.h.e.s.ter and that he's with a group that's staying nearby.

"So kid that explosion, was that knife explosive? I never heard of it before...oh I used to work as a reporter, so forgive me if I'm asking too much, I'm just curious?"

Currently I'm holding Arthur's hand as he guides us, his hand feels warm and yet why does it feel cold as well? He turns to look at me and I quickly turn my face feeling embarrass, my dad seeing this starts to smirk. Geez dad.

"Hmm, a reporter huh that's a cool job, also that knife is not explosive. It's one of my many powers."

"Powers...as in one of those supernatural thingy?"

"What you don't believe me?"

My dad comically shook his head and wave his hand

"No no! after everything that had happened today nothing surprises me anymore."

*Bark Bark Bark*

We stop at our trek and see a cute puppy barking at the house I quickly ran to it and pick him up. The puppy look at us panting and licks my hand. My dad came to my side and pats my head.

"What's this..a puppy all the way out here."

"It must have been separated from its owner."

Arthur too came at my side and pats the puppy's head but it growls at him angrily.

"Ah...right forgot, dogs hate me."

Arthur looks sad when he said it, I quickly ran to his side and hold his hand I stare at thee puppy intensely as if I'm pleading for the puppy to give him a chance, the puppy looks at him warily and after giving him my angry stare, the puppy licks his hand.

Arthur starts laughing at me causing my face to turn red. Then we see the door open, a beautiful woman was standing there looking at us worryingly. She then ran to hug Arthur.

"Where have you been? When Hirano told me you went out alone you gave me a heart attack."

She starts to hug him tightly then pull his cheek I starts to smile because his face look funny after being pulled. She then turns to face me and after seeing my my she immediately leaps to hug me..argh I can't breathe.

"Mari-nee these are my friends and need a place to stay."

I was hugging the puppy thinking she might refuse us like the others, then I saw her nods her head while smiling. Causing my dad and I to smile brightly.

"A friend of Arthur is a friend of mine, plus it's not right to leave a starving girl out in the cold, come on in while Saeko-san cook, I can warm the bath for you. Arthur you can help Rei-san with the packing while she and her father bath....or do you wish to join them because you look slightly dirty."

My face grew red as I heard I'll be bathing with Arthur. My dad smile while patting my back. I quickly ran to the beautiful woman but I stop to turn to see my father talking to Arthur.

"Thanks...for saving us. Especially my daughter...now I'm sorry..but can I ask you one last favor...can you please look after her."

My heart sank when I heard he said last favor...what does he mean by that?...He turns to see me standing while looking confused...he smile and walks towards me, he pats my head while crouching then hugs me tightly.

"D-Dad."

"I...I'm sorry kiddo...I'm afraid that I can't stay here."

I start to cry...as I see tears on my father's face.

"I'm sorry ki-..Alice, you're old man is sick...I don't think I'm gonna make it."

"Huh...."

My eyes widen at his word...sick..when?

"Before I came to the house to pick you up...on the way I was bitten by a stranger. I managed to get away in time but..it's too late. I can feel it..My ti-time is running out."

We start crying while hugging each other..no this is not fair. My dad...please, I turn to Arthur who's looking at us with no emotion on his face, he shook his head implying there's no way to save him.

"Alice..listen to me, I want you to be strong you hear me, you're my daughter, my brave strong daughter....I love you."

My dad holds my cheeks and kiss my forehead. Then the older woman hold my hand and guide me into my house, I struggle as I wanted to be with my father but the older woman gently yet forcefully pulled me inside with tears in her eyes.

"DAD!!! DAD!! DAD!! NO!! DON'T LEAVE ME!! I DON' WANT YOU TO GO!!

My dad smiles warmly as the door slowly closes before me.

And as she close the door..only then I realized....that was the last time I saw my father.

-Arthur's POV-

As I see Mari-nee dragging Alice back into the house I'm left with her father standing in front of me.....I took out my gun.

He on the other hand put a cigarette in his mouth and lights it. After puffing a few smokes he looks at me with kind eyes

"What a sad sad world we live in...I'm sorry that you have to do this...Alice shouldn't see her dad die before her eyes."

"It's fine...I'm used to this."

"Used to this?....then this is truly a sad world...I entrust my daughter to you."

He said it with a smile....I aim at his head with slight tears in my eyes...huh strange why does this hurt?

Solomon appear behind me, he holds my hand helping me by steadying my aim. I look at Alice's father...the man who's prepare to die for his daughter, he show a warm smile and nods.

"Farewell."
