Add A Little Lightning

Lightning, Blake, Serah, Weiss and Pyrrah are currently being escorted to their dorm room by an older lady who referred herself simply as "Dorm Mother". Her appearance was the epitome of a caring grandmother.

Dorm Mother: Here is your room, as your situation is slightly special compared to other teams this room was designed for 5 people rather than 4. Remember to clean up after yourselves.

Lightning: Thank you (Slightly bows)

After Opening the door, the sight of 5 single beds covering around 60% of the room all placed in an unorganised fashion greeted them.

Lightning: Before we sleep, we need to sort this room out.

Weiss: Agreed

Lightning: What shall we do with the beds?

Serah: (enthusiastically) How about bunk beds?!

Lighting: You want to make bunk beds out of 5 single beds? Are you trying to kill the people on the lower bunk?

Serah: Then how about we just push all 5 beds together

Lightning starts getting flashbacks from the "slumber party" and being used as a hug pillow for Ruby and Yang.

Lightning: 'I have to put a stop to this'

"Bu-"

Blake: It does seem efficient

Weiss: We're all girls here so I don't mind.

Pyrrah: It's better than the bunk beds idea.

Serah: Then it's decided!

Lightning: 'I didn't even get to voice my opinion I thought I was meant to be the leader… '

After moving the bed's everyone started unpacking.

Blake unpacks her collection of books while hiding one which escaped everyone's notice but Lightnings, Weiss unpacked an elegant painting in a golden frame, Pyrrah had only brought clothes and some trophies she was most proud off, Serah only brought clothes and a photo album of Lightning when she was a baby.

Lightning: I'm almost scared to ask… Sis, why did you bring that?

Serah: It's my most prized possession, of course, I'd bring it!

Lightning just stares at the almost innocent looking Serah she could tell that her sister was being completely genuine.

Lightning: (sigh) We have classes early tomorrow so I'm going to sleep.

Lightning lays down on the right side of the bed claiming it as her own. Which prompts Serah to ask in complete confusion.

Serah: What are you doing?

Lightning: Hm?

Serah: You're sleeping in the middle

Lightning: But why?

Serah: Duh, you're the leader

Lightning: 'SO NOW I'M THE LEADER?!'

Lightning: 'As expected'

As Lightning woke she felt the sensation of 4 people laying on her. Serah was spooning her while Weiss was clinging on to her arm like a baby koala. Blake was laying vertically on her legs purring in her sleep as the most surprising one Pyrrah. Was using Lightning's stomach as a pillow.

Lightning: 'Why is this happening?'

Lightning: 'Me?'

{You did help with Pyrrah's insecurities and gave Blake reassurance about her problems with discrimination so she feels an affinity with you}

Lightning: 'I did? I was just being me…'

After everyone had been woken up by Lightning, they got dressed in their new school uniforms. The uniform consists of a black blazer with golden trim and a red tie. The leg-wear varied between a red plaid skirt or Black trousers depending on the gender.

Weiss: Lightning… Why are you wearing the boy's uniform?

Lightning: Preference I suppose.

Serah: She did the same at Signal just think of it as one of her lovely quirks.

Pyrrah: Classes start soon we should head out.

After walking for almost 10 minutes Team Light are standing outside of their classroom when a group of students charged into them. The other group seemed to be running for dear life to get to class on time and couldn't stop in time causing the collision.

Ruby: Sorry w-

Lightning: It's fine

Ruby: LIGHT! Thank god it was only you

Lightning: Only?

Ruby just smiles innocently leaving Lightning no choice but to drop it.

Lightning reaches for the doorknob of the classroom but halts midway worrying her sister behind her.

Serah: What's wrong?

Lightning: My instincts are telling me that if I open this door, I'll regret it.

Serah: A My baby sister is just nervous on her first day. So let me.

Serah basically slams the door open and the view of a pink-haired older woman with a smug smirk could be seen staring at the group of 10 newcomers.

Claire: Welcome to Monsterology, I'll be your teacher for the next four years, Claire Farron.

Blake: Farron?

Lightning: It's a common surname… probably.

Claire: Light, Serah and the rest of you take your seats.

Weiss: She seems to know you.

Lightning: I just look like my name would be Light.

After a few back and forth with Lightning's answers becoming even more convoluted than the last Pyrrah decided to do the logical thing and ask the more honest sister.

Pyrrah: So is she your mother Serah?

Serah: Yep! She's the best! She taught me everything I know about archery!

After everyone takes a seat with their teammates. Team Ruby sat in the front row with Team Light sitting behind them. Claire began her introduction to Monsterology by explaining the very basics of what makes a Grimm a Grimm. Common knowledge for anyone who had any education about being a huntress/huntsmen previously.

Ruby seemingly bored from the lecture started to balance a pencil on her finger with a book on top of the lead and for added measure, an apple was on the book.

Lightning watching her friend couldn't help but think how impressive it was. The show she put on after made Jaune burst out in laughter which didn't escape the notice of their teacher.

Claire: I was going to allow a volunteer give a demonstration of a real-life fight against a Grimm but it seems like Mr Arc already knows everything so he'll share his expertise with everyone.

Jaune: But... I.. Ehhhh.

Claire not waiting for an answer had already left to retrieve the caged Grimm, Jaune's nervousness has been completely missed by his team.

Lightning '[Observe]…. He still hasn't unlocked his Aura. I'm getting kinda sick of helping him at this point but I don't want to watch someone die right in front of me if he hasn't justified it'

Claire comes back and places the cage in the middle of the classroom and instructs Jaune to take out his weapons and get into position. While his Team shout in support of him trying to boost his confidence.

Yang: You've got this Jaune!

Nora: SQUASH IT!

Ren: Fight well

Ruby: Yeah, represent Teeeeeeam Ruby!

Jaune: Ehhhh right

Claire who is now sitting on her desk in the front of the class reaches for her bow and fires an arrow breaking the lock on the cage releasing a Boarbatusk which immediately charges at Jaune.

Jaune raises his shield in an attempt to halt the charging beast but failed as he falls backwards on impact. After losing his composure Jaune madly swung his blade in the Boars direction which the Boar deflects with its tusk sending the sword flying. following its deflection, the Boar tries to impale Jaune with the same Tusk.

Jaune who was now recoiling from his attack being blocked was helplessly sitting there staring up with fearful eyes looking at the boar for mercy.

Everyone in the classroom who had now noticed how dire the situation had become was too late in interfering expect Lightning who anticipated this outcome by just seeing the level difference.

Lightning using [Telekinesis] lifts the Boar by its Tusk leaving its underbelly completely exposed while also using the same skill to control Jaune's sword sending it at high speed at the boar's stomach completely pricing through it before returning said Sword to Jaune's side.

Lightning who at this point was quite agitated by how she had to babysit someone who she doesn't know again. Got up and walked to Jaune.

After getting infinite Intelligence, Lightning has been reading books about Semblance's and Aura's attempting to better her abilities. In this time, she had learned how to unlock other people's Aura.

Placing her opened palm in Jaune's direction. Lightning's Pink Aura begins to enshroud Lightning herself. Whereas Aura is normally transparent light Lightning's is a lot more concentrated.

Lightning: 'My Aura wasn't like this before'

Lightning: 'My questions can wait first I'll unlock his Aura in the hope I won't have to keep saving him… For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Lightning walks back to sit with her team and leaves the glowing white Jaune dumbfounded.
