They reached Mifune's province, the whole province held a celebration for the victorious return of their side for pushing back the invaders. Claus was surprised the place looked like Feudal Japan. The land was covered in snow and continued to snow different from their previous battlefield of a plain with tall grass, but the scene was beautiful especially with the celebrations.

They were sitting in the meeting room with tea and sake with foods to celebrate but Claus just drinked tea and calmly enjoyed the atmosphere.

The door opened and a beautiful woman came inside rushing towards Mifune.

"Father! You're back!" The woman said hugging Mifune tightly. Mifune smiled seeing his daughter and hugged her back.

"I'm sorry Mifune-sama she wouldn't listen and ran towards here hearing you came back." The caretaker bowed towards Mifune respectfully.

She just stuck her tongue out at the caretaker and hid her head on Mifune's c.h.e.s.t. Mifune just sighed at his daughter's antics. He then excused the caretaker to let her be. The caretaker excused her self and left the room.

"So Ayame was this true?" Mifune trying to ask his daughter in a strict father mode but failed when Ayame saw right through this and giggled. The samurais in the room smiled seeing their interactions because they were like family. Mifune was like a father and Ayame was their mischievous little sister.

Claus just ignored it and enjoyed the tea with some dangos. Ayame looked around to see if her brothers had made it back but stopped her gaze on the beautiful Claus who took a bite out of a Dango. Mifune seeing this didn't know how to react.

"Ah! Claus-dono meet my beautiful daughter Ayame, Ayame this is Claus-dono." Mifune said then turning towards Ayame "Be respectful he is our important guest." he warned Ayame not to fool around in front of Claus.

Ayame nodded while still in daze expression staring at Claus.

Pooof!...Smoke bombs fell from the ceiling. The smoked created a distraction and a cover for the ninjas to attack the samurai and Mifune.

swoosh...shing...ding...clink...Fwisssh....

Mifune used laido and quickly dispatched the ninja. While the samurais were fighting the ninjas but some died and the ninjas also died. Only the leader of the ninjas and two more were still alive. They were surrounded and the leader looked around while the smoke was still there then seeing the scared Ayame he quickly dashed towards her pointing a short katana at her neck and using her as a hostage. Claus knew they were there but just ignored it.

"Your daughter is in my hands!" The ninja leader shouted. Looking at his captured men he ordered them to be released.

Mifune was distraught at what he should do. The samurais also hesitated. Claus was getting really annoyed now, so he used conquerors haki to knocked the ninjas specifically leaving Ayame free and the samurais to quickly apprehend the passed out ninjas.

The room was silent. Mifune who was done checking if his daughter was alright looked towards Claus and bowed towards him for saving his daughter.

"Claus-dono even though you're my guest and it was our problem I, Mifune am thankful." Mifune thanked Claus.

The samurais also bowed. Claus just waved it off. "Ma ma, they were ruining the mood. And annoyed me."

"Still thank you for saving Ayame-hime!" they all said and bowed again.

One of the samurai called out towards the guards to take the Ninjas and "Question" them.

After they took away the ninjas they wanted to ask Claus if he was a ninja too but that would be rude since he's their quest. Claus seeing this just softly smile then took a sip of tea. He looked up towards them and said "You can ask, " he calmly said.

"what was that?" Ayame who was scared moments before scared was now curious.

Mifune just stayed silent. While the samurais looked expectant for answers.

Claus looked at the curious Ayame. Pausing. Then he said. "Haki." Then took another sip of tea. "Now I have my own sets of questions, " Claus looked towards Mifune. "Why did you really invite me here?" he asked.

"As expected of someone powerful as you Claus-dono," Mifune said then he looked towards Ayame then the samurais then finally towards Claus. "I wish to ask for...
