Another Life As Older Brother

I waited all day long at the city's outer wall, close to the gate. The security is pretty lax since no one would think about attacking Orario without any large scale movement.

Small scale movement is useless here. No king to rule nor any leader running the city. Everything here controlled by Gods and Goddesses. No one would think about assassination would have an impact on Orario.

When the sun about to go down. I could see the carriage with exquisite red and yellow pattern, imaging the sun with a bow. Walked toward the gate, Not many people going with Apollo except some of his loyal members.

The exile had been convinced by the Gods for Apollo to leave Orario and search for his own place to live. 'But not in this world.' I thought while smirking when I saw that the carriage had left the town and enter the forest.

I quickly jumped down from the wall and dashed across the land to enter the woods while keeping an eye on the carriage. Their pace is quite slow, I would say.

So I could easily pass them and wait for them upfront. "Who's there!!??" Someone from their member quickly pointing his spear toward my direction. "Hoo.. There's actually someone with a sharp sense here." I said while walking out from the tree that I've been hiding.

A beastman that found me looked at me with a shaking hand with his animal instinct to run kicked inside his body. After his shout, more and more members looked toward my way with their weapon.

"What's the loud noise outside?" Apollo's voice could be heard from inside the carriage. "It's probably a bandit, Apollo-sama." Someone said to assure their God.

"No... He's dangerous!!" said all the demi-human around. "Indeed, it could be a bandit. Now fight me. The war game had just been started." I said while all of the people around got impaled by tens of swords around their limbs. Locking them from moving.

The carriage got torn apart and Apollo could be seen being chained by the golden chain that glowing and lock him in place. "You!! Who are you!!!?? Do you know that... What!? My arcanum!!!" Apollo quickly realized.

"In depressed and shame of losing the war game he started. The prideful, Apollo got mad by his familia member and accidentally killed them all by using his arcanum then kill himself. Not a bad story." I said while removing my hood and smiling at him.

"You!!! Ageas Cranel!!! What did you do to me!!??" He shouting whole his face turned ugly, feeling so weak in front of a mortal. The humiliation he had to bear from losing and now this.

"This... This chain absorbing my divinity!!??" He quickly realized that his energy getting drained by the minutes that we're talking. "Indeed, the more divinity, the stronger it would bind you. Sadly when you got down here, in the lower world. You reconstruct your body into a mortal vessel that contained your divine soul. Isn't that why when the Gods use arcanum they got called back?

I could bind even the divine body of the Gods and absorb their divinity but their body would only constantly restore their divinity back. Now, in the lower world like this, with only the soul.

Tell me, what happened if nothing to protect your divine soul and you died here without leaving any divine spark to reconstruct your soul?" I asked him while smirking at him.

"You... Don't tell me..." Apollo quickly realized that without any of his divinity left. His soul won't be formed again and that left him with his immortal body at the higher realm empty which made him looked like a madman if ever being found at the upper realm.

"This is goodbye, Apollo." I said while looking down on him which then scream when I stabbed him which scattered his divinity all around me for Enkidu to absorb them.

His body glow but instead of a pillar of light that indicated that a God got sent back up to the upper world. It's only glimmer of light that dissipated in the dark night of the day. "Looked like I can't change some of my nature." I said after seeing just how easy the God in this world died.

I used Enkidu to created the light pillar masking Apollo's death and strike the ground with it making a huge hole with a bit of fire in the forest that burned his familia and covered the stabbing mark on their body. Before returning back to the Orario.

Along the way when I arrived at the town. People started talking about the pillar of light in the distance. I walked my way around and get to the inn.

"You really did it. Didn't you?" Suddenly, I heard a voice when I went upstairs. I looked at the person, which is Persephone.

Without bothering answering her question. I walked past her toward my room. "Wait!" she shouted before I walked too far.

I stopped on my step when she opened her mouth for the second time "Can... Can you be the one protecting me?" she said slowly.

"No.. I can't...." I said while walking further. She looked down when I said that while making a sad face. "At least not for now." I said leaving my last words before entering my room.

Her face quickly cheered up since she still got her chance and quickly followed me to the room since Demeter and Hestia are there to continue discussing inside the room.

"Looked like everything went well.." Demeter said while looking at Persephone's smiling face when entering. Persephone looked at me for a while before nodding at Demeter.

"Stop making that face." I said toward Hestia that making a smug face after finally receive the reward from winning the War Game. "Ha!? Can't you be more cheerful that we won!? Hey, Ageas-kun!!" Hestia said while shaking me that about to go to sleep.

Supposedly, I sleep with Bell, but Hestia always tried to sleep together with Bell which resulting in this kind of mess room.

"Ufufu... Hestia... You also feel tired for today, right? We will continue our conversation tomorrow then." Demeter said while walking out from the room together with Persephone after she bow toward Hestia.

"Wait, Demeter!!" Hestia tried to stop Demeter but it's too late. "Shut up let me rest already." I said toward Hestia. "You already sleep all day long!!" Hestia said after gritting her teeth together but eventually went to sleep with Bell.
