After they had finished making the cake, Samuel stayed around to listen to Ryan ramble off all the different ideas he thought might look good with a rose gold and emerald theme. He was amazed by how quickly he was able to come up with so many ideas in such a short period of time but also overwhelmed since he was going to have to decide which one he liked best later when he could talk it over with Lena.

With nothing left to do and not in the mood to eat since it was still rather early in evening, he decided to head up to his room and text his parents to see if they wanted to talk since he hadn't had a lot of time to catch up with them since he came back beyond a few texts each day.

Somewhere during the time he had finished speaking with his parents and the princess had come home, he had fallen asleep without realizing it. He probably wouldn't have woken up at all except for the fact that he had become aware of a shift in weight on the bed which caused his senses to become alert along with bringing him to a more conscious level.

Based upon how light the shift in weight was, his mind as best as it could determined that it was most likely to be the princess since he wasn't aware of anyone who would come into his room that weighed as little as she did.

He had the urge to reach out and wrap his arms around her, but without opening his tired eyes which weren't very keen on opening because they wanted him to sleep more, he wasn't sure how close she actually was to him.

"You tempt me with the photo of the cake and yet here I find you sleeping even after I messaged you to let you know that I would be coming back." Lena's voice was soft as she spoke. Did she think that he might still be asleep? His body would've preferred for him to still have been asleep, but he wasn't going to be able to now.

Samuel was about to make a noise and open his eyes when he felt the shift in the weight on the bed again. He kept still as she tried to determine what the princess was doing without giving away the fact that he was awake. The way that she moved was so soft and quiet however that he had a hard time being able to tell whenever she moved.

"Unsuspecting chickadees who don't act awake when they're really awake end up getting in trouble." Samuel wouldn't have known that the princess had shifted so that she was positioned right above him if it wasn't for the fact that he felt her breath gently tickle his face as he spoke. This action and sensation was enough for him to snap his eyes open. This wasn't what he had been expecting from him.

He didn't have much of a chance to move however because the moment that she saw that he had opened his eyes to look at her, she used both her hands to each of his with her legs straddling his waist. She made a tsk noise while smirking as she looked down at Samuel who despite mostly being fully awake at this point still didn't have the proper control of his muscles to move as he would've liked.

"I did try to warn you by being nice, but it didn't seem like you were going to wake up on your own if I didn't take things a step further." She told him as he looked up at her a little confused and uncertain as to what she was planning.

"That isn't true. I was just getting ready to let you know I was awake before you did this." Samuel defended himself. He wasn't exactly comfortable with the current position but he wasn't doing much to try and move Lena either.

"You say that but if you were going to do it, you should've been just a few seconds faster." The whispered the last part as she leaned over so her face was closer to his ear. Her breath tickled his ear and made him shift his head slightly.

"So you have no one to blame but yourself for this."

"That's not true. You didn't even hardly give me a chance to say anything before you moved." He moved his left hand slightly and in response the princess tightened her grip on it. It didn't hurt though she certainly did have a firm grip.

"I did you give you time, three minutes to be exact and I can say this because I counted the time down." She responded as she nipped the top of his ear slightly before flick the tip of her tongue against. Perhaps she should swap body wash or shampoo to whatever her fiance was using, she quite liked the smell of it.

Samuel shuddered in response to this action and shifted his head further away from her.

"Three minutes isn't a lot of time for someone who's sleeping." Samuel again defend his position as he tried to deal with the fact that Lena now had her face buried against his neck and her hips had shifted so that the way she was straddling him put her in a position where she was almost sitting on his waist in an awkward way.

"I guess then as part of your training maybe we should work on you learning to wake up quicker for your own safety." The princess murmured back. She could feel as Samuel tried to move his hands again and in response she tightened her grip again.

"Plus this is good for you. I told you last time the situation was reversed the you needed to not have such a lax hold on my wrists, now you can experience firsthand what I mean when I say you should learn to tighten it." She moved her head back away from his neck so she could look at his face as she said the last part trying to gauge his reaction. Samuel was about to say something when Lena decided at that moment to lean down and kiss him. It was by no means a gentle kiss like the ones he had snuck in giving her before. This one was more intense and the power in it expressed how she was feeling at the moment in time.

Samuel was experiencing a different sort of feeling then the princess, but it too was mostly in part due to what the princess was doing to him.

He didn't mind kissing her back, it was something he was getting comfortable doing. But he was once again confused when she nipped his bottom lip which he thought meant like last time she wanted him to open his mouth to her, but instead she pulled away from him.

"Not this. I'm interested in something far sweeter that I have been waiting quite a while for now." Lena told him as she held his gaze, not missing the flash of disappointment that went through his eyes when he heard this.

"It Isn't that late yet though, is it?" Samuel asked not actually quite sure what time it was. He hadn't had a chance to look at his phone.

"Actually, it is. After 11pm now in fact. Haven't even had dinner yet and you've been sleeping this whole time away." The princess replied as let of his wrists to roll slightly in order to move off him and out of his easy reach.

"I didn't think that I had been sleeping that long. I guess that the cake should be set right now. You could've asked Ryan for it." The princess gave him a look as he shifted so he could stand up that said that wasn't an option.

"If I did that, what would be the point of having a fiance then?" She replied as she leaned back on the bed making herself comfortable.

"If I'm gone for a few minutes am I going to have to worry about coming back to you having fallen asleep and stolen my bed again?" He asked in a teasing tone.

"Again? You make it sound as though it has been more than a one time occurrence." The princess scoffed at him.

"I won't fall asleep though because there's something I want and whenever there's something that I want, I'm not likely to sleep until I get it." By the look in her eyes he could that she was being serious about it.

"Right then, I'll trust you not to fall asleep and I'll be right back with some cake."

"Make sure it's a large piece otherwise, I'll not be pleased." She told him, raising her voice enough so that she knew he would hear her even as he left the room. She truly would be disappointed if he didn't back a big enough piece. She needed it after today.
