Under the water. Fishman Island.

Fishman Island is an underwater island which dwells 10,000 meters below sea level in a giant hole that goes under the Red Line at the bottom of a deep trench. The island resides in a giant double-layered bubble floating above the sea floor, seemingly filled with about half water and reef and half air. It is illuminated by the Sunlight Tree Eve.

Fishman Island came to be because Fishmen and Merfolk on the ocean floor would gather at the only place where sunlight reached them. That place eventually became Fishman Island. The sunlight came from the roots of the Sunlight Tree Eve, which would absorb sunlight on the surface, and then send it down to Fishman Island via the tree's roots.

Fishman Island is the home of the Fishmen and Merfolk. It serves as an underwater gateway to the New World for those who do not wish to cross over the Red Line above.

Because it is the only way for any ship to enter the New World, for if people went through Mary Geoise they would have to leave their ship behind, Fishman Island was often visited by pirates passing through and the Marines chasing after them.

The island itself is located under the main center of the <World Government> and is under the protection of Yonko Whitebeard. It is also notoriously difficult to reach, with only 30% of the sh.i.p.s surviving the journey. The island is encased in a giant bubble, allowing human visitors to breathe.

And it is on this Island, once every few hundred years, the Mermaid Princess is born, who is able to control the Sea Kings.

Fishman Island. The Ryugu Kingdom. Gyoncorde Plaza

A large number of Fishman gathered on a large square. They all fussed and made very loud noises. One would have thought that a celebration was taking place in the square, but that was not so.

On a low platform stood a giant box. This box burned with a bright flame and Fishmen dressed as guards ran around and tried to put out the fire. They took out a huge number of sheets of paper from the box and tried to protect them from fire.

"Put it out!"

"Put it out faster! Fire begins to spread!"

"Quickly, put the fire out! All those signatures!"

"Do not let the signatures burn!"

Loud cries of the guards were heard throughout the square.

At that moment a woman appeared on the square.

The woman had golden-colored hair, Her hair was partially held up in two loops, by an orange headpiece

She also had green eyes, thick eyelashes, and wore pink lipstick.

She was wearing a very long white kimono with a cream-colored carp-scale design along the hem and a sash around her shoulders that floated behind her head.

This woman was Queen Otohime.

She stood in one place and looked at the burning box. Not only the signatures that she was able to gather were burning in this box. Hopes for a better future were burning in this box. She was completely lost in her thoughts and did not notice how a bullet flew in her direction.

When she felt threatened... it was already too late. The bullet hit right in the heart of Queen Otohime. This wound was mortal.

"Did you hear that noise?"

"It just seemed to you! Bring water faster! We must protect the signatures that Otohime-sama gathered."

The guards continued to extinguish the flaming fire. They did not notice that their Queen was wounded.

"Otohime-sama?" sensing something was amiss, one of the guards asked her.

Queen Otohime did not answer. She just fell to the ground and a pool of blood began to form under her.

"OTOHIME-SAMA HAS BEEN SHOOT!!!" there was a fierce cry from the guard over the whole area.

"He's still here! Find the one who shot!"

"Protect the Royal Family!" shouted the Fishmen with the physique of a sumo wrestler and a face like the face of one of the Oni demons.

"Mother!" three Merman shouted

One of them was an enormous, muscular shark merman, with a wide c.h.e.s.t and large arms. He has a long face, framed by wavy fair blue hair flowing down to his shoulders, a sharp and pointy nose, and a dot of some sort printed on the middle of his forehead. He has gills on his massive neck and a dark blue tail with light blue polka-dots.

He wears a dark garment around his waist, held up by an extremely long sash. He also dons a light blue long band, which passes over his shoulders, drawing a circle around the back of his neck, and falls down to his waist, seemingly floating behind him.

The second of these was an extremely tall and thin merman. He has wide eyes, long wavy dark pink hair, and beaverlike teeth. 

He wears a fancy robelike garment with sleeves that are puffed at the shoulders and wrists. He carries two swords behind him, held in place by an orange sash. He also has a long purple tail with white polka dots and a red fin.

The third was a rotund, stocky and large merman. He has a polka dot tail, with a black variation along with white polka dots and red scales. He also has brown hair and red fins on his head.

He wears a blue hat with a dirty white stripe going across the middle of it. The stripe is serrated on the bottom side and there is a dot pattern inside the stripe. He also wears a yellow sash,

These three were the children of King Neptune and Queen Otohime. Their names were Fukaboshi, Ryuboshi, and Manboshi.

They looked at the wounded Otohime, and tears flowed from their eyes.

But they did not pay attention to their little sister. Which was shocked, and which at any moment may lose control of her own power.

Shirahoshi's face was pale, her eyes were wide open and fear and horror were clearly visible in them. She silently looked at her wounded mother. It was like the calm before an impending storm.

No one paid attention to the condition of the Mermaid Princess. And no one saw a suspicious, tall and thin Fishmen walking in her direction.

This Fishmen has four legs. He wears three golden bands on each of his ankles, and two pairs of sandals. He sports green overalls reaching just below his knees, with ruffled edges and decorative buttons on both the straps, over a light green-colored shirt with ruffled edges. He sports a yellow cape, also complete with ruffled edges, dr.a.p.ed over his shoulders, and two massive beaded necklaces hanging on his c.h.e.s.t. He wears a yellow fedora with a purple band on his head.

This suspicious Fishman was Vander Decken IX.

He went to Princess Shirahoshi and patted her hand.

"Terribly situation. Don't you think so, Princess..." he said.

Only after that, the guards noticed that this suspicious Fishmen touched their Princess Shirahoshi.

They wanted to attack him. But…

*Flash*

A flash of flame appeared next to Princess Shirahoshi. After the flame disappeared, in its previous place they could see two people, a man with white hair and a woman with pink hair.

The man looked at Vander Decken and released a wave of energy in his direction.

*Thump*

Vander Decken instantly lost consciousness and fell to the ground.

The guards did not understand anything. They just continued to stand and look at unknown people.

{Mai, deal with the Vander Decken pirates crew. And take Noah's Ark to Avalon.} Ray mentally said.

{Mmm. As you wish My King.} Mai answered.

This whole conversation took only a few seconds.

While the guards continued to be in a stupor, Ray and Bonney headed to the Mermaid Princess.

Shirahoshi continued to look at her mother, tears began to appear in her eyes.

Ray waved his hand toward Shirahoshi. Her body was covered with light and she began to shrink.

It was the usual <Reducio> spell, that the Wizards from the World of Harry Potter used in everyday affairs. Fleur modified this spell a bit, and now it can be used even on living creatures.

As soon as Shirahoshi was covered in light, the guards immediately woke up from a stupor and pointed their weapons at Ray and Bonney.

"What have you done!"

"How dare you attack our Princess!"

Bonney simply looked at the guards and released a wave of energy in their direction. The guards began to lose consciousness and fall to the ground.

It was Conqueror's Haki.

Ray and Bonney walked over to Loli-Shirahoshi. She sat on the floor and cried.

"Mom, mom, mommy."

Ray picked her up and began stroking her head.

"Don't cry. Don't cry. Everything will be all right with your mother," soothingly stroking her head, Ray whispered.

Shirahoshi didn't even realize that she became smaller and an unknown man was holding her in his arms.

She raised her tear-stained face and looked with her blue eyes at Ray.

"Really? *sniff* Onii-chan, *sniff* aren't you fooling me?", continuing to cry, Shirahoshi asked.

Ray smiled tenderly and began to wipe Shirahoshi's tears from her soft pink cheeks.

"Of course I'm not fooling you. Don't cry anymore. We'll go to your mother and help her," Ray said soothingly.

Shirahoshi nodded and hugged Ray by the neck.

"Onii-chan, you are so big. You can carry me in your arms. Only my father can carry me in his arms because I'm too big," Shirahoshi said.

"Hehehe. Onii-chan is not so big, it was you who became small. Look around you," Ray said softly.

Shirahoshi raised her head and began to look around. She immediately realized that she had become much smaller.  

Her eyes opened wide.

"Bbbuuut. How? Wow! I became small!" Loli-Shirahoshi shouted joyfully.

"Hehehe. We will teach you how to become small. If you want, we can teach you how to turn your fishtail into human legs," Bonney said.

"Onee-chan, are you human too? What is your name? Are you Onii-chan's girlfriend?"  seeing Bonney, Shirahoshi asked.

"Mmm. I'm a human and my name is Bonney Natunus. I'm Onii-chan's bride," she said with a gentle smile.

"Wow! You are Onii-chan's bride," Shirahoshi was surprised.

They continued to talk, Ray began to tell her different stories.

Shirahoshi had already forgotten that her mother was mortally wounded.

"Become strong warriors and always protect your little sister. Shirahoshi is a very kind child and she will need your support," they heard Otohime voice.

Her voice was very weak, Ray felt that she was going to die. He looked at Bonney and nodded.

<Soru>

Bonney appeared next to Otohime.

"Who are you!?"

"Get away from Queen Otohime!"

"Don't... bother... her," came the voice of Otohime.

"But. Mom..." Fukaboshi said.

He tried to say something, but a joyful voice interrupted him.

"Hahaha. Onii-chan, has he turned into a Walrus? What happened next? Can he become a Magical Girl? Or will he now remain a Walrus forever?" they heard the happy voice of Shirahoshi.

All the gathered Fishmen and Merfolk turned their heads and saw a shocking scene.

Shirahoshi became Loli, literally! And she was in the arms of an unknown white-haired human! Shirahoshi laughed happily and smiled joyfully.

Everyone was shocked.

But most of all, her older brothers were shocked. They just forgot about Shirahoshi and left her aside! They turned pale when they realized that she could lose control and order the Sea Kings to destroy Fishman Island.

<Turn of Time>

Fishmen and Merfolk heard a beautiful female voice.

They turned back to Queen Otohime and their eyes and mouth opened wide. They saw a real miracle!

Queen Otohime was completely healthy, her mortal wound disappeared. Even her kimono was clean again, and the blood that was on it simply disappeared. It was a miracle as if time itself had come back a few hours.

The only reminder of what happened was a pool of blood on the platform.

"Queen Otohime."

"Queen Otohime ALIVE !!!"

"UWAAAAA. YOUR MAJESTY!"

"You are alive! You are alive!"

"Mother!!!"

"Mom, are you okay!?"

"Mother!"

Many voices mixed with each other. All Fishmen and Merfolk cried, they loved their Queen and did not want her to die.

The Princes were happy, tears flowed from their eyes.

Ray walked over to Otohime and Bonney. He continued to hold Shirahoshi in his arms.

Otohime saw her daughter and was shocked.

"Shirahoshi... but how? How did you become so small?" with undisguised surprise in her voice, Otohime asked.

"Mom! Ray Onii-chan said, it was my Loli-Form and he will teach me how to control it!" Shirahoshi said joyfully.

Ray handed Shirahoshi into the hands of Otohime. She took her daughter in her arms and began to cry.

"Shirahoshi. *sniff*, My little girl. *sniff* I'm so happy," Otohime cried.

She didn't want to die. Otohime wanted to watch her children grow up. And she was happy that she could do it.

Shirahoshi also began to cry.

But this time, these were tears of happiness.

Bonney smiled and hugged Ray.

Ray hugged Bonney and kissed her forehead.

All those present at Gyoncorde Plaza smiled happily and cried. On that day, they escaped the biggest loss for the Ryugu Kingdom... the loss of their Great Queen Otohime.

Suddenly, a deafening scream came from the roof of one of the houses.

"A HUMAN... KILLED… OUR QUEEN!!!"

A Fishmen in the clothes of a guard stood on the roof of the house, he held the corpse of a bloodied man by the neck.

All the Fishman and Merfolk gathered in the square immediately looked at this guard. They did not understand what he was trying to do... after all, the Queen is alive.

"All of you, remember the face of this guard. It was he who wanted the death of Queen Otohime," a calm voice was heard throughout the square.

Otohime looked at Ray and asked.

"Ray-sama, what do you mean?" Otohime asked respectfully.

All those present in the square also closely watched Ray and waited for his answer.

*Sigh*

"You do not need to address me with such respect. Regarding your question... This guard's name is Hody Jones, he hates humans and considers them an inferior race.

With your last actions, you have achieved tremendous success. All present Fishman and Merfolk began to believe in a better future for themselves and their children. And such Fishmen as Hody Jones realized that something needs to be done, otherwise it will be too late. You yourself must understand what would happen if you really died...

All those Fishman and Merfolk present would begin to hate all humans. This would destroy all your work and destroy attempts to make friends of two races. With high probability, your sons would continue your work, but they would not succeed. Why? Because such wounds heal for a very long time. Well, you were able to avoid this crisis. And now, things will change for the better," Ray said.

Everyone present began to ponder Ray's words.

Queen Otohime had wide eyes. She was a smart woman and immediately realized what exactly would have happened after her death. Her death at the hands of human would spawn a new cycle of hatred.

"Guardians, grab Hody Jones. He is charged with attempting to assassinate Queen Otohime. I will personally execute him. Jamon," a loud order was heard.

A huge merman was riding a big dark whale.

This merman was a giant-sized and muscular. He has a red nose, small eyes, and long thick orange curly hair and beard. Both his c.h.e.s.t and arms are covered with hair. He is bare-c.h.e.s.ted and has matching black tattoos on both arms, which looks like a spiral with wavy protrusion designs around it.

He wears a gold crown that resembles a tulip with jewels embedded, a golden bracelet on each wrist, and carries a gold trident with an elaborate design

"Otohime, are you okay? Jamon," the merman asked.

"Yes. Ray-sama and his bride saved me," Otohime answered.

"Father!"

"Father!"

"Father!"

"Your Majesty!"

"King Neptune!"

The Princes and the Fishman and Merfolk gathered in the Square cried out.

King Neptune looked at Bonney and Ray.

"I deeply thank you for saving my wife. I don't know what I would do if she died... As my thanks, you can take away everything that is in the Royal Treasury. From this day, you will be friends of the Ryugu Kingdom. Jamon  "bowing, Neptune said.

Ray looked at Neptune and replied, "We do not need treasures. And we have already received the reward."

"I..." Neptune wanted to ask something, but a woman with blue hair appeared next to Ray.

"Nnn. Darling, I took Poneglyph. Mai also complied with your order," the woman said.

Ray nodded and looked at Neptune.

"This is our reward. Oh, I also took Noah's Ark," Ray smiled.

"What, what, what!? Poneglyph? Noah? But, but. Why did you take it! Noah and Poneglyph are very important for our entire race. Jamon," Neptune said, he could not find the right words.

The giant ship has disappeared! It just evaporated in the air. How is this possible!?

"Darling. Don't jump to conclusions," looking at Neptune, Otohime said.

Neptune again looked at Otohime and his eyes widened. He finally saw that in her arms she was holding Loli-Shirahoshi!

"Shhhhhiiiirrrrahhhhhooossshhhi. Ahhhhhhhh. What the hell is going on here! Jamon!" clutching his head, Neptune began to scream.

"Nnn. Otohime is right. Don't make hasty conclusions. There is nothing on this Poneglyph except an apology written by Joy Boy," Ain said.

"Mmm. And you don't need this Ark anymore. Ray himself will train Shirahoshi and fulfill the greatest wish of all Fishman and Merfolk," Bonney added.

"Mmm. It's true. I will teach Shirahoshi to control her power," Ray said.

"Joy Boy… To control her power... let's continue this conversation at Ryugu Palace. Jamon," massaging his temple, Neptune said.

"<One will appear with the power to guide that Mermaid. To show her the right path, and the correct way to use her ability. When that time comes, a great change will come upon the World...!>. So this is not just a legend," Otohime said quietly.

She looked at Ray.

Ray, Ain, and Bonney heard her words, but said nothing.

Surrounded by the Royal Guard, they began to walk towards the Ryugu Palace.

The Fishman and Merfolk in the square looked at them and talked to each other.

"Hey. We have to tell everyone about what happened here."

"I would never have thought that someone would want to kill Queen Otohime. She was always so kind to all of us."

"You're right. This bastard Hody Jones must die. How dare he attack Queen Otohime!"

"King Neptune said he would execute him personally. I think it will be a Public Execution."

"We must attend the execution. Hody Jones must die."

"Yes! Let's talk about this to those who could not come to the square!"

"Yes!"

On this day, news of the assassination attempt of Queen Otohime spread throughout the Ryugu Kingdom. And all the Fishman and Merfolk found out, that she was able to survive only thanks to the help of HUMANS. This news greatly influenced the inhabitants of the Ryugu Kingdom, and they began to believe that perhaps they could make friends with the human race. And after that, they will finally be able to move to the surface!

They did not yet know that this will happen much earlier...
