Astral Douluo

Chapter 25 - 10-Million-Year Spirit Soul and Talk with Wu Zhangkong

Opening the window, Gu Yue silently entered. Making sure no one could notice her movements, she cautiously walked over to her bed.

Lifting the sheets, Gu Yue sandwiched herself between the blanket and the mattress. Turning to the window which let the beautiful light of the moon pass through its glass panes, she let out a big breath.

Remembering what she did, Gu Yue blushed so hard, her face looked like an apple.

''I get first dibs on your dragon,' I said. 'F.u.c.k my asshole,' I said. How did I get the courage to do that? Ugh, what if he thinks I'm a weirdo?' Gu Yue asked herself as she faced the ceiling, 'Then there was also the, 'I'll be waiting,' right before I left!'

Covering her bashful face with the blanket, Gu Yue muffled her screams of embarrassment which she hadn't been willing to let out earlier with Tang Xingxi. Rolling around in bed, if it weren't for the fact that her roommates were heavy sleepers, she would have been caught red-handed.

Gu Yue already knew that Tang Xingxi was speaking the truth when she talked to him except for the fact that he was randomly reincarnated here. But it didn't matter to her. At this moment, that secret must be too s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e to pry in, and she knows that Tang Xingxi's feelings are genuine.

After letting out the suppressed emotions for about an hour, Gu Yue finally calmed down. Looking towards the moonlight, Gu Yue thought to herself, 'I wonder when he's going to play that song for me?' before drifting off to sleep.

Meanwhile, right after Gu Yue left… [POV End]

The moonlight penetrating the wooden room, Tang Xingxi stared at the window Gu Yue just left through.

Remembering what just happened, Tang Xingxi started to laugh. 'Damn, I never expected Gu Yue to have a side like that,' Tang Xingxi thought.

Seeing his brother rousing from sleep, Tang Xingxi quickly got back in his bed, pretended to sleep and reentered his spirit sea.

Seeing the familiar scenery, Tang Xingxi walked towards the gate which he had never entered before.

Arriving at its silver frame, Tang Xingxi opened the gate which released a golden light. Pulling Tang Xingxi inside, the light engulfed him and spat him out on a grey surface.

"Ugh, where am I?" Tang Xingxi said as he looked around.

Covered in holes of various sizes, the grey surface he stood on extended far past his vision. Little odd critters that looked similar to underwater crustaceans scurried and floated around. Looking upwards, Tang Xingxi got the shock of his life.

"Hah! That's earth! So, this is…The moon!!!" Tang Xingxi shouted.

Looking backwards, he saw the gate through which he arrived here. 'Whew, I thought I would have to stay here for eternity,' Tang Xingxi said in his mind, 'Well, it seems there's oxygen considering I can still breathe, and these critters don't exist on earth so this is probably one of gods creations.'

Walking up to a critter, Tang Xingxi shouted in his mind, 'Flaws!'

[Celestial Prawn, Born of the celestial gods, it is the weakest of their creations, yet has the odd natural affinity for celestial energy. Its taste is ridiculously good to anything that eats it which is the reason that they are commonly hunted down. (Do not engage in packs)…]

Dumbfounded by the description, Tang Xingxi looked towards a different critter which looked more like an insect and also shouted, 'Flaws!'

[Celestial Grasshopper, Born of the celestial gods, this creature has one of the fastest movement speeds out of all the celestial god's creations…]

'Flaws!'

[Celestial Ladybug…]

'Flaws!'

[Celestial C.o.c.kroach…]

'Flaws!'

[Celestial C.o.c.k…] (A/N: What???)

'Flaws!'

[Celestial Turtle…]

'Flaws!'

[Celestial's Moon…]

"Hold up! Hold up! The moon I'm standing on can be turned into a spirit soul!?" Tang Xingxi shouted out as he swung his hand out in an effort to swipe away the book and facepalmed himself with the other.

Looking at the description again, he read carefully on what benefits he would get if he absorbed the moon as his spirit soul and how he would do it.

[How to absorb the Celestial's Moon:

Step 1: Get to the core of the moon. It should look like a ball shining with many colours and a mini-universe.

Step 2: Defeat the will of the core. Be warned, if the host's will does not exceed that of the core, the moon will take control over the host's body and destroy the host's soul.

Step 3: Absorb the core. Every creature on the moon will attack the host during this process. When the core is fully absorbed, the moon will also be absorbed into the host.

3 Celestial Bloodline Seals Will be Broken and Absorbed with no side effects

Passive Mutation 1: Orbital Starlight Spirit Orb - Whatever Spirit Souls shall inhabit this spirit shall rotate in orbit. General control over gravity is increased. Can now create an orbit with any objects or things. Spirit Souls orbit around the spirit.

Spirit Ability 1. Meteor Storm - Summons a barrage of celestial meteors from the sky to attack opponents

Spirit Ability 2: Celestial Laser Beam - Through the use of the holes in the moon, the moon was once able to shoot scorching hot lasers out of its craters. Now, the Starlight Spirit Orb can also shoot lasers and destroy anything in its wake.

Spirit Ability 3: Gravity Manipulation - A celestial body is known as the largest wells of gravity. The Celestial's Moon, however, also has the ability to manipulate gravity and now, that power has been passed on to the Starlight Spirit Orb

Spirit Ability 4: Moon Crush - Summons a moon to literally crush opponents.

Spirit Ability 5: Celestial Moon's Biome - Can summon all creatures that existed on the moon the fight for the host.]

'What kind of choice is this, of course I'm choosing the moon!' Tang Xingxi thought to himself as he activated his celestial bloodline.

His hands turning into galaxy-like crystals, Tang Xingxi dug into the ground to find the core of the moon.

Arriving at the core, Tang Xingxi sat down beside it. On the way there, Tang Xingxi had thought about the best way to take it's will apart and figured out the best solution. After confirming with his Kuroji and Aura, the plan was set.

Activating his first martial spirit, Tang Xingxi called out, "Enkidu!"

Golden chains, which were attached to Tang XIngxi's hands bound the core of the moon. Enkidu restraining the core, Tang Xingxi ran up to the gate. Opening the doors, Tang Xibngxi brought the core into his spirit sea.

Arriving at his spirit sea, Tang Xingxi called out all of his spirits.

All of them arriving at his side, Tang Xingxi said, "I'm going to be absorbing this core, support me."

Letting out a deep breath, Tang Xingxi walked to the core. Sitting crosslegged, Tang Xingxi touched the core with both of his hands.

Activating his will, Tang Xingxi released an immense pressure built through the countless deaths he had experienced during his training.

In response, the core pulsated before releasing a pressure equal to Tang Xingxi's. Two multicoloured auras clashed, sparks flew and the world cracked upon the collision. Slowly, the aura from the core began to overpower Tang Xingxi's.

'Shit! I'm losing!' Tang Xingxi thought as he felt himself being pushed back. Suddenly, five pillars of light shone and landed upon Tang Xingxi increasing the intensity of his aura but, it still wasn't enough.

Tang Xingxi's spirit sea started to crack and a celestial liquid began to spill through the cracks. 'I'm going to die,' Tang Xingxi thought. Going through his memories for something that could increase his will, he found it. His time with his parents and siblings, both in this world and his previous, his friends, Na'er, and Gu Yue.

Then, a question immediately rose in his mind, 'Why?' His aura flickering, the core took upon this opportunity to attack Tang Xingxi but somehow found that Tang Xingxi's aura was instead, getting stronger.

'Why did I choose this world? Why did I want to get power? What do I want now?' Tang Xingxi thought. His will started to evolve. 'I see. This all started out as fulfilling my fantasies, but right now, after building connections with everyone, I can't keep thinking of them as characters on a page. They are real people. People I care about. And in this world, to protect and care for them, I have to be strong!'

Right after finishing that thought, Tang Xingxi's will finished evolving. Filled with his will to protect and become stronger, Tang Xingxi overpowered the will of the core. Trying to resist with all it's might, the core released an even stronger pressure, but it was immediately dwarfed by Tang Xingxi's aura.

Crushing the aura released by the core, Tang Xingxi completely destroyed its will. Deciding to absorb it immediately, a multicoloured glow emanated from the core. The light coiling around his arms before entering his c.h.e.s.t, Tang Xingxi started to absorb the core.

Entering his body, the core's energy nourished Tang Xingxi's body. Cracks could be seen on three of the chains of the Celestial God. A warm sensation spread all throughout the body. of Tang Xingxi. Running through his blood vessels, enhancing his brain and solidifying his body, the energy finally entered his meridians before entering his dantian.

When the energy was fully absorbed, the cracks around Tang Xingxi's spirit sea fully sealed. Pieces of grey rock floated up to the sky as it formed a moon. the cracked chains finally breaking, a celestial power suddenly washed over Tang Xingxi's spirit sea as three of the seals on the Celestial God broke.

Celestial energy surrounding him, the second seal on Tang Xingxi's eye bloodline broke too, absorbing the celestial energy along with any other energies around it.

Feeling the changes, Tang Xingxi closed his eyes and meditated to consolidate his abilities.

After a year had passed in his realm, Tang Xingxi finally opened his eyes and awakened from his meditation. Standing up, some changes could be seen on his body. He grew a few inches taller, his figure became more toned and compact, but that wasn't the most shocking change. The biggest change was his eyes.

Tang Xingxi's right eye maintained it's amber colour, but his left changed completely. Looking into it, a universe could be seen with one silver, one gold, one green and two blood-red galaxies seemed to rotate around a bright white star in the center of the eye. Black smoke seemed to circulate around the eye and an amber sheen seemed to contain all the energy from spilling out.

Calling out the moon in his spirit sea, Tang Xingxi integrated his Starlight Spirit Orb with it. A blue and grey ring now surrounding his spirit, Tang Xingxi went back to the centre of his spirit sea.

"Aura!" Tang Xingxi called, deciding to test his new abilities.

"Yes master," Aura said, appearing from nowhere.

"Set up a training room," Tang Xingxi ordered.

"Alright," Aura replied, moving her hands in a particular pattern, "Done."

A blue portal appeared to the side of Tang Xingxi. Walking through it, Tang XIngxi entered an empty space. Activating his celestial bloodline and eye bloodline, Tang Xingxi changed.

Now, Tang Xingxi could agument five different parts of his body, and the smaller the part, the more power it would hold. He also felt the using celestial abilities would be less taxing and now also had his intellectual abilities increased.

Calling out Leo, Tang Xingxi activated his Astral Body. Checking the energy consumption, Tang Xingxi found that he could hold the form for 30 minutes and if he used aspects, the time would drastically drop to one minute.

The strength of his armaments remained the same, but the more condensed it was, and the less other armaments there were, the more powerful it would be.

Testing his eye bloodline, he realized he hit the jackpot! He got all of Huo Yuhao's abilities and now could use his other abilities with his eyes to do things he couldn't otherwise.

'Now, it's time to test my new spirit abilities,' Tang Xingxi thought to himself. Activating his Orbital Starlight Spirit Orb, Tang Xingxi looked at his spirit rings. 'Hmm, one purple, one half-black, and one grey and blue. Totally normal!'

Activating his grey spirit ring, Tang Xingxi activated all of its abilities. In front of him, a barrage of celestial meteors fell from the sky and landed on the ground making powerful explosions. On his right, a beam of light shot forwards. It was so hot, it even burned the air around it. On Tang Xingxi's left, a moon literally started to fall to the ground. The ground beneath his feet fell a few inches due to increased gravity on the floor in a 2-meter radius, and little swarms of critters circled Tang Xingxi.

Satisfied with the abilities, Tang Xingxi dispersed all of them. Then, he began training his control over the cosmic element.

After getting to the point where he could freely create and destroy constructs as well as energize anything with the energy, Tang Xingxi finally stopped. Just when he was about to actually sleep, proud of his work, Tang Xingxi decided to test something.

Taking inspiration from a move in Godly Model Creator, Tang Xingxi summoned his moon. Closing his eyes and remembering the lines from the book, he covered it in temporal and illusory energy and filled it with the intent to destroy.

The moon started to change colour. from a strangely luminous grey, it became an impossibly bright black. Purple fog surrounding the area around him, Tang Xingxi opened his eyes. Lifting his hand as if to hold the moon, Tang Xingxi strangely moved his arm as the moon followed it.

Swinging it downwards, Tang Xingxi shouted, "Dark Moon Dream Destroyer!" as the moon slammed down on the ground creating a crater the size of two blocks!

The fog dying out, Tang Xingxi smiled at his progress.

Exiting his spirit sea, Tang Xingxi reawoke in his bed. Closing his eyes, Tang Xingxi slept.

"So, Tang Xingxi, what is your secret?" Wu Zhangkong asked, hands in front of him.

"Huh?" Tang Xingxi replied, in shock at the question.

"Exactly what I said, what's your secret? You improve way too quickly and have extraordinary powers" Wu Zhangkong said, staring straight at Tang Xingxi.

Reciprocating the stare, both of them stayed in that position. After a while, Wu Zhangkong gave up and reclined in his chair.

"I don't mean to force you to tell me, it'd just make my life easier to teach you. I will also swear confidentiality between the two of us," Wu Zhangkong said.

"Hah," relaxing in his seat, Tang Xingxi let out a deep breath.

Looking seriously at Wu Zhangkong, Tang Xingxi started thinking about what he could share out, but eventually came to one conclusion, and that conclusion, was, to tell the truth.

'Wu Zhangkong had not broken any of his promises and had an immensely strong sense of justice and morality throughout the story. I don't think I have to really hide anything from him,' Tang Xingxi thought, 'I might as well just hide some facts.'

Looking at Wu Zhangkong, Tang Xingxi let out a breath and said, "Okay, I'll tell you."

Standing up, Tang Xingxi took 5 steps away from Wu Zhangkong. Looking at him, Tang Xingxi asked, "How much power and sound can your spiritual barrier hide?"

Surprised at such a question, Wu Zhangkong replied, "The aura of a hundred-thousand-year soul beast. Why do you ask?"

"Because I don't want to alarm anyone," Tang Xingxi said as he extended his hand and activated Illusion Cage, his left eye emanating a green glow.

Feeling s.u.c.k.e.d in by an invisible force, Wu Zhangkong sensed no battle intent or ill will from his student, so he let it do as his student wanted.

Seeing the scenery change, Wu Zhangkong found himself in a dark room. With no light source, it still somehow stayed bright. Looking behind him, Wu Zhangkong found Tang Xingxi.

"Alright teacher, this is an illusion limited to the inside of our minds, so no auras will leak out," Tang Xingxi said.

"Huh? Are you saying you have a—" Wu Zhangkong said, before finally noticing the state of his student.

Tang Xingxi looked completely solemn. Usually, he's carefree, distracted or bored, and on the rare occasion he finds a good opponent, Tang Xingxi gets excited, smiling with battle l.u.s.t. But now he's completely serious. Tang Xingxi's left eye also looked different. It looked like a universe trapped within an amber gem.

"This is how I look like without using my passive illusion ability granted by this eye," Tang Xingxi said, shocking Wu Zhangkong, "It's also one of my bloodlines."

"Then, how many bloodlines do you have?" Wu Zhangkong asked.

"Five bloodlines at least. I don't know if I will awaken more," Tang Xingxi answered, "They are the Dragon God's bloodline, Celestial God's bloodline, Alucard bloodline, Half-Ghoul Bloodline and my eye, the 9th God's Eye: The Ancestor Spirit Eye of Illusion."

His brows raised, Wu Zhangkong said, "Okay, I understand the Dragon God completely, understand the Celestial God and God's Eye to the extent I don't need more information about them. However, what are the Alucard and Half-Ghoul bloodline?"

"The Alucard Bloodline is the bloodline of Alucard, the Daywalker and Vampire Slayer. This bloodline allows me to use blood to my absolute control, strengthen my body, track people and instil fear" Tang Xingxi said as he activated the bloodline, "It comes at the cost of an immense thirst for blood which is reduced thanks to the celestial bloodline. Blood is also the only way to increase this bloodline's power."

"Okay, what about the half-ghoul?" Wu Zhangkong asked, his face a bit paler as Tang Xingxi undid his transformation.

"Well, it increases my physical abilities, tracking capabilities, and gives me twelve tails called kagune and because I've absorbed a bone into the kagune, I can also create energy at the tails and shoot it out," Tang Xingxi said as his right eye ghoulified and twelve blood-red tails exited through his back, "The cost of this one, however, is the need to eat human flesh which is nullified by my Alucard bloodline giving technical immortality and the urge is also lessened by my celestial bloodline. The ghoul bloodline can also be strengthened by eating human flesh, but only for short periods of time. The only real benefit of having a Half-ghoul bloodline is that half-ghouls can eat normal food and don't have to eat human flesh as often."

"Okay okay, what about your spirits and spirit rings," Wu Zhangkong asked after a period of hesitation, mortified by the earlier descriptions.

"Okay. Also, I have not strengthened these bloodlines or killed anyone," Tang Xingxi replied as he undid his transformation and released both of his spirits and spirit rings.

His armaments came first, covering Tang Xingxi's body in black armour while under it, came the rings.

Wu Zhangkong's eyes widened in surprise. A purple spirit ring showed up first, and the second one that came up was a red spirit ring.

Feeling the pressure of the ring, even if it was illusory was difficult to stand straight.

Lifting his right hand, Tang Xingxi released his Orbital Starlight Spirit Orb (I will be calling it orb now). It looked different than from before.

Releasing it's soft yet bright blue glow, there were three rings of the same colour around the orb, each bigger than the previous. In each ring sat a figure orbiting the star. In the ring nearest the centre, there was a constellation which was obviously Leo. A purple ring covered the lion signifying it's age and power of a thousand years. The second was a hammer made of starlight and had a half-purple and half-black ring circling it as it orbited around the star. The last was a moon which had a grey and blue ring.

Even more pressure was put on Wu Zhangkong as he was forced to release his spirit to defend against the pressure.

"I have a thousand-year spirit and a hundred-thousand spirit soul in my armaments. I also have a set of thousand year, nine-thousand nine-hundred ninety-nine point five, and ten-million-year-old spirit souls in my orb spirit," Tang Xingxi said.

"O-o-okay, so, that's everything right?" Wu Zhangkong asked.

"Yes," Tang Xingxi replied, releasing both of them from the illusion.

"Alright, you're dismissed," Wu Zhangkong said, shooing Tang XIngxi out, "Come back tomorrow for some supplies I'm going to get for you."

"Alright Teacher Wu," Tang Xingxi said as he left the room.

Seeing the door close, Wu Zhangkong sat back in his seat, his hand on his head as he sported a big smile. 'Hahahaha, my student is a damn monster literally and figuratively. At least he's on our side. Well, I might as well get those strengthening materials and parts for emergency stocks for him,' Wu Zhangkong thought as Tang Xingxi walked back to his dorm awaiting the end of summer.
