Awakened: Evolving to Godhood

Chapter 125: Abused Statue (b)

"What about the invaders and the winged spirits? Who are they? And what happened to your world? Is this planet the winged spirit world? Or maybe another planet?"

Elliot asked a bunch of questions.

However, he was only met with disappointment.

"I can not say anything about something that's not related to this trial."

The statue's words came as an extreme disappointment to him, and he couldn't help but feel low.

He sighed, "I understand."

"Do you have anything to say?"

Elliot nodded his head and immediately asked the most important question. "So, what do I need to do to pass this trial? Defeat you?"

Since this was a trial, there was bound to be a task that he needed to complete to pass it.

The statue shook its head, and then said, "Human! You've already proven yourself worthy by surviving my attacks and passed this trial. According to the rules of my creator, the Saintess of the Winged spirits, I should let you go to the next one. However, it has been too long since I last fought. Almost a millennia. To me, who the saintess created for the sole purpose of killing the ones invading the winged spirit world, fighting is all that matters. As my luck would have it, before the last thirty days of my life, destiny has brought you here. So, let's fight till one of us can no longer move."

"Do I have any say in this?" Elliot asked.

He wanted to know if he can refuse to fight him or not.

"You can refuse if you want to, it's entirely up to you." said the statue by using its seventh magic matrix mental communication.

"Do I get anything from fighting you?" Wondering whether he would get a reward for doing extra work, Elliot asked about it from the only one that could give him an answer.

"If you lose, you'll lose your life. But if you win, you'll get a lot of treasure. The choice is yours to make. Are you brave and confident enough to fight me to get unbelievable treasures, or would you pull back because you're afraid to die?"

Afraid? He wasn't afraid!

"Let me think about it for a few moments."

Of course, he wasn't going to directly come to a decision.

He needed some time to think.

After considering whether he should fight him or not for a few moments, concluding that he could use his divine matrix to defeat him, that agreeing to fulfill the dying warrior's wish would net him a handsome reward, Elliot decided to fulfill the dying warrior's wish.

"Your will to fight till your last breath is admirable and has managed to win over my heart. I am willing to fulfill your last wish. Come at me, warrior! Let me give you your last defeat!" Elliot said with a smile while feeling happy and excited.

"Good! Good!" The statue took his words more seriously than his fellow magicians as it considered him his equal and respected him for his strength. "Brace yourself!"

In the very next instant, the eerie glow in the humanoid statue's eye intensified and permeated the dimly lit area near it, turning it three shades darker.

It opened its mouth wide, and Elliot saw flashes of silver inside of it.

The statue used several units of magic power and created the same amount of arrows with sharp arrowheads.

Swoosh

Whoosh

Swoosh

Suddenly, several arrows shoot out of its mouth, each of them moving so fast that they cut through the air and shoot towards the most important parts of his body, including his dragon and his dragon balls!

He was able to determine the trajectory of the arrows and also notice that three of them were coming straight towards the things between his legs!

Terrific!

The humanoid statue truly knows no shame!

Elliot realized that this statue isn't a mere warrior!

It's a bastard, a very vicious one at that!

It's a vicious bastard with no morals, a creature that hunts the Excalibur and dragon balls of humans!

"Try this on for your size!"

As those words left his mouth, several waves of golden energy burst out of his upper body, destroying his clothes as they blasted outwards and crashed onto the arrows. Now that his reproduction organ was at risk, Elliot decided to stop giving a damn about reserving his essence of life!

He went all out in order to protect the greatest treasure on his body -- his manhood!

Tink* Tink* Tang*

The golden waves were far too strong than the material used to make the arrows. They snapped all of them in half and came crashing down towards the humanoid statue.

The statue raised his hand and grabbed at one of its wings before pulling back and yanking it out of its roots. After pulling the wing out of its back in the blink of an eye, the statue swung it towards the incoming golden waves.

When it brandished his wing like a sword, several emerald lines flashed horizontally in the air where the sword passed, and the moment the golden waves reached that place in the air, they burst apart, wisps of golden energy shooting straight past the statue and crashing down on the floor.

"Eat this!"

Seeing that his attack hadn't even managed to scratch him, Elliot poured more than three hundred units of the essence of life into his divine matrix, releasing a blast of golden energy from each of his palms. The two blasts swirled around each other a few times before fusing into one, creating a greater golden blast that flew through the air and struck its body.

BOMB

This attack was far stronger, far bigger, and far faster than the attacks before, so much than before that the statute wasn't able to make a move in response before it struck it. An explosion sounded, and the statue got blown away.

It crashed on the rocky grey floor with a dull thud, and due to the force behind Elliot's attack being too strong, it rolled on the floor for several seconds like a ragdoll before it stabbed its wings into the floor to hold itself in place, finally coming to a halt.
