These notifications popped up in his mind when the poison reached him. The poison stuck close to his body, seeping into his pores and entering his body, trying to kill him from the inside out, but he didn't feel a thing.

"The authority that makes me immune to poison works against poisons of otherworldly creatures too! Wonderful! Wonderful!" Elliot's lips stretched back into a smile as he happily inhaled and exhaled the poisonous miasma.

Meanwhile, his golden arrows wreaked havoc on the snakes, killing another ten of them. The rest of them charged into the thick of poisonous mist, running away from the deadly threat. Only that, they ran towards an even greater threat!

One of the many snakes was desperately running away for dear life, slithering across the poisonous mist as fast as it could. However, it crashed into something solid and came to a halt. It raised its head to look at what it was and saw a devilish smile.

And that was the last thing it saw before a fist packing smashed its head to the ground, causing blood to burst out and it to lose its vision. It was still alive, however, and Elliot could tell that because he hadn't received a notification of its death. Thus, he raised his right leg and stomped on its head.

Its head exploded this time, and the news of its death popped up in his mind.

"I guess there must be other snakes who have snuck inside the poisonous fog to hide from my arrows. Let's hunt them down." While saying those words with an evil smile on his face, Elliot created two hammers, each four meters wide and three meters long.

The psychotic killer started to move around the fog while carrying weapons of destructive might, and whenever he saw something even resembling the shape of a snake, he whacked his hammers at that spot. Sometimes, he smashed nothing more than a shadow, but most of the time, he crushed a snake and plastered it into the ground with a heavy and resounding thud.

After playing Whack-A-Snake for several minutes, he managed to kill all of his enemies.

"Extract it from their bodies," Elliot commanded.

Immediately after, the artifact activated the power of the authority of life, and then Elliot started to gain a huge boon in his strength.

However, he wanted to know what other benefits it would bring him before coming to a decision.

"What types of benefits would I gain from advancing to the next stage?" Elliot asked in his mind.

"Isn't that something only magic grandmaster can do?!" Elliot's eyes widened in pleasant surprise. From what he knows, to use the three great spells of magic grandmaster, a person needed to learn ways of energy emission/discharge.

"Level up!" Elliot readily agreed to the creation of a celestial energy channel in his body.

"Where? What option do I have?" Elliot asked curiously.

A total of nine options weren't they too many!

"Which ones are the best?"

[There are three! If you create one in your head, you will be able to see far beyond your field of vision. Creating one in any of your arms will improve your attack damage. Creating one in any one of your legs will improve your agility]

"Recommended the best one for me."

When this notification popped up in his mind, Elliot felt large streams of warmness moving from the pit of his stomach to his right arm.

The moment ten thousand units of the essence of life gathered in his right arm, a notification popped up in his mind.

[You are undergoing evolution. Please sit back and wait patiently]

Immediately, a large amount of soul-numbing pain assaulted him.

He felt his right arm submerging into the deepest and the hottest recess of a volcano. His right arm brightened up in a golden glow. The glow grew in intensity with each passing moment. It became so strong that it blasted apart the mist. At the same time, the pain that Elliot was feeling reached its peak. He felt something ripping apart his soul. He felt the fibers and the muscles of his very right hand unfolding before hot lava poured on them, then slipped in between them.

Suddenly though, most of the pain vanished.
