Awakened: Evolving to Godhood

Chapter 261: Interdimensional Library! (a)

The opening of a portal and the arrival of a new guest attracted the eyes of several people. After seeing that it was merely a human being, some of them turned their heads away and buried themselves in their books, reading and memorizing knowledge unknown to them. However, some kept on looking at him, making him feel like an exotic in a zoo.

"Look at that person; why does he look so different from us?"

"That thing is a human."

"He lacks furs and a tail! He doesn't even have claws or sharp nails. An ugly weakling he is from head to toe, so how did he manage to enter the library?"

"Ugh, I am feeling nauseated. How can someone look so ugly?"

"His clothes also look shabby. He is weak, ugly, and poor."

Many aliens badmouthed Elliot, hoping to make him feel embarrassed. They wanted to get on his nerves to act out and get kicked out of this place. Elliot knew that, so he didn't send them to the afterlife. Instead, the sound of his footsteps spread in the library, and along came his manly voice.

"Seems like what my friend said—no matter how unbelievable I thought it to be—was true. I never thought that my peaceful arrival would anger the roadside dogs and cause them to bark uncontrollably. These damn dogs are a great source of noise pollution. They should be culled or at least get banned from entering the library of the soul race. Why are they allowed to stay in this holy ground of knowledge and blemish it with their idiotic existence? What weird times this universe has come to, che, che, che."

They made fun of him because he was a human and belonged to a low-level world. So he responded in kind and made fun of them because they deserved it.

"Who are you calling dogs? I dare you to say that again!"

"It looks like demi-humans not only don't learn about etiquette & manners and only use their instincts to judge others, just like unintelligent animals, but they also fail at realizing that they are getting cussed st when others make fun of them. This lord is disappointed."

By the time Elliot finished saying that, he had walked up to an unoccupied seating area. He said those words in a not too loud, not too low voice, and it was just high enough to reach the ears of the people who were mocking him. He sat down and looked around.

Most of the people here had a contorted expression vivid on their face. The good thing was that the bunny girls didn't find fault with him. It's probably because they considered it beneath them to compare themselves with demi-humans like the ones who were mocking Elliot. The librarian merely glanced at him and looked away. So it was safe to say that he was safe!

With those words, Elliot successfully got on the wrong side of many aliens. One of them even stood up from his seat in anger and shouted that he would teach Elliot a lesson, but his friend pulled him down. His friend reminded him that if he didn't want to get kicked out of this spaceship and into the cold, harsh space where he would get frozen to death in the millionth of a second, it would be best to endure in silence.

"Pete, How can I let go of someone that looks down on us?"

"When did I ever say that? With our spaceships that rely on both anti-gravity tech and jet propulsion to travel at high speed, how hard would it be for us to reach his world? Even if he is galaxies apart, we can always get to him and capture him! You can do what you want with him after that. For now, be patient. We can't make a mess in this place. It won't end well for any one of us if we make the librarian angry."

Many spaceships were floating outside the huge-ass library. They came in all shapes and sizes. Some were round like a woman's booty, while the others were as shiny as a monk's bald head. The spaceship owned by Dante looked like an egg. It had many white entrances through which people registered in the system could enter the spacecraft. It also had many white doors through which people could leave the ship. The ship had retractable jets all over its body. It also had anti-gravity tech in it. There were uncountable numbers of dots on the egg-like spaceship, and each of them was an opening for a disturber, a high-grade energy weapon used in massive wipeouts.

"I guess you're right."

Dante believed that the poor, weak, and ugly human wouldn't escape their hand, so he decided against creating a scene in the library.

He had good reasons to believe that.

Dante came from a noble household of a multi-planetary species that owned hundreds of resource planets, each with several dozens of mines that contained materials needed to craft spaceships. Because his family was close to the royal family, they were allowed to sell and manufacture spaceships. Usually, only the military and the royal families are permitted to take part in such deep waters.

The spaceships Dante's family made were quite popular. Many civilizations, especially those entering the interplanetary era or the intergalactic era, liked to own one or two of them as it was a symbol of success and power. As a result, Dante's family was extremely wealthy. As he was the young master of said family, he too was rich. He had taken high-grade evolution material since the day he was born and was simply too strong. Furthermore, with the amount of money in his possession, it wasn't hard to hire space mercenaries to take care of Elliot. The human race couldn't compare even to his toenail, so even if he goes to their world and kill a member of their race, nothing wrong will happen to him.
