When she heard his words, a smile blossomed on her face. Yet, Elliot didn't notice it as he wasn't looking at her but glaring at the ten-thousand-year-old man beside him.

"Senior, you're nearly an immortal, so please act like one," Elliot said in a calm voice laced with seriousness. "Don't spew out nonsense and complicate our relation."

If it were someone else and not a high-ranked sublime emperor, Elliot would've already verbally and physically abused them to tears, or worse, death.

Zerrick thought of Elliot as an ungrateful dog that likes to bite the hands that help him score with a girl. "I won't interfere with you, young ones anymore. Sort out your feelings yourself."

The good thing was that although Freya was like a beauty that had stepped out of a divine painting, Zerrick didn't have any interest in her. She was too young, after all, almost 9000+ years younger than himself. He didn't have desires in loving such a young girl, much less bedding her.

Thus, Elliot evaded the need to fight for Freya's hand in the future.

After hearing what Elliot said, Freya retracted the smile that just blossomed on her smile.

Yes, she was too foolish to think that a man like him, who was far out of her reach, would've feelings for her.

'It would be better not to reach my hands out to grasp something out of my reach, far above my status,' Freya thought. She was afraid that she would lose his companionship and the relationship that had started between them if she tried to treat anything else than her brilliant light. Moreover, Freya didn't want to taint him with her thoughts. To her, he was too bright an existence, and she dared not have dirty thoughts about him.

Afterward, Elliot explained why they had come to her.

"I'm sorry, my lord, but I can't help you either. I have never gotten good luck at the spider queen because each time I met her, m-my back was never straight... and my head was always almost touching the ground." Freya didn't want to expose her shameful past to them, but as she had to make things clear to them so that they wouldn't suspect her of being a double spy, she had no choice but to share her experience with them.

The spider queen was highly narcissistic, and she didn't like her minions, subordinates, and worshipers standing face to face with her. Those who dared to look at her died under her stare, unable to remain alive to tell the tale.

"Even she doesn't know what the spider queen's fave looks like. We don't have any way of her reaching her now. Maybe we should teleport to the Ash Grey World and go to her hideout on foot. What do you say?" Zerrick asked Elliot.

He pondered for a moment and replied, "I don't think that would work."

"Why?"

Freya spoke in place of Elliot, "Even if we go to her hideout, it would be hard to reach her. She had separated the first to the fourth area from the rest of her shelter. For a person to get to that place, there is only one way, and that is to activate the teleportation circle on the fourth area to open a portal to the third area. But the last time we took it, we appeared here. Retaking it, I believe, would teleport here again too."

<br/>Before their mood could sour, Freya said,

"I have a clear picture of the second and third area, and by using your ability, we can appear near the spider queen's hideout.

Freya's words changed their darkening expression to a bright one.

"Hmm, take us to the worship ground where the Unholy Elves live and worship her. I want to get rid of all her minions before reaching her. This way, we will save ourselves from any future trouble that may arise if even one of her frantic worshipers escaped the purge alive."

Elliot naturally knew how bad it could be if they left any of her worshipers alive. Just look at the serpentine devil. The ones who didn't worship the Serpent frantically were worse no better than devils, and those who did were ten times worse than devils. He believed her worshipers to be the same, and he was not wrong about that. The spider queen's worshipper was cruel. In order to appear their goddess, these ruthless unholy elves had killed uncountable elves and lizardmen. If they were left alive, they were bound to make a grand plan to avenge the death of their goddess. They would necessarily not have the strength to do that just now, but what about the future? Elliot knew that the master of ten thousand shadows was a mere slave, but after the sublime emperors of the Ash Grey world sealed his master, didn't he reach the sublime level too?! That was why he didn't dare leave even the slave of the spider queen alive.

He wanted to put a clean end to her so that the forces of chaos wouldn't be able to make a comeback in the future.

"How far is the spider queen's hideout from the worship ground?" Zerrick suddenly asked Freya.

Like told before, he couldn't leave the twilight forest for too long. Because the minions of the black calamity could take advantage of his absence to make trouble in the twilight forest, he had no choice but to return back within half an hour.

Freya replied, "From there, the spider queen's chamber is only some miles away."

They were all experts, and traveling a mile was the same as taking a few steps or strolling in the park.

So, Zerrick concluded that half an hour would be more than enough to complete all of their goals.

"Okay, let's go there and root out all the trouble created by the spider queen before giving her a swift end," Zerrick said.

Right after, Elliot called back his undead brethren.

Then, Freya and Elliot grabbed his sleeves.

"I'm ready."

"Let's go."

"Well then, here we go."

Freya pictured the third area of the unholy necropolis in her mind. The next she knew was that they suddenly appeared at its entrance.

There was thick darkness around her, and in that darkness, many pairs of reddish eyes that she found focused on her glowing magnificently.
