Awakened: Evolving to Godhood

Boom!

An ear-piercing explosion sounded as the toxic mushroom burst apart, pieces of soft green flesh flying across the air. Some crashed on Elliot, some crashed on the ground and tumbled for a few meters, and some struck the inner walls of the dome created by Elliot and slid down.

All of them, in the next moment, evaporated into green mist. None of it escaped the dome.

Freya was feeling scared and disturbed. Zerrick had told her that Elliot was immune to poison. But was he really? And if he was, was he so immune to poison that even the thick poisonous would fail to harm him? She didn't have answered to these questions. She looked at what was ahead of her. While staring at the green mist that has camouflaged Elliot, she wished he would come out fine from this situation.

Zerrick wasn't as carefree as ever, and he had his eyes narrowed. Although there was only a subtle change in his expression, he looked completely different. With an emotionless and calm face, he looked like an indifferent person, detached from reality. But with narrowed eyes, he looked like an eagle, looking at his prey, looking at something that had aroused his interest.

According to him, the quantity of the high-level poison that Elliot had trapped was enough to kill himself. Of course, he could always enter his dimension to escape the poison, but if he were to put up no resistance and stay unguarded against it, he would die even though he was a sublime emperor. Yet, Elliot was still alive and even breathing it in. It only showed him that Elliot's immunity to poison was perfect!

A tremendous suction force pulled all the green mist in the surrounding towards his mouth.

Freya and Zerrick saw the green mist in the dome churning towards Elliot, vanishing into him. They were surprised so much that they stood rooted to his place. Immunity was one thing, not too surprising. But he was consuming it?! Was that something a sane person or an average magic emperor could do?!

'There is always a mountain beyond a being. Something not possible in the past; who said it couldn't be possible in the present? This young man has created a new miracle!'

What has Zerrick not seen in his life? He was able to calm down. He praised Elliot as an unseen genius and looked forward to seeing what would happen to him.

The green, tasteless and scentless, poison mist invaded Elliot's system, intending to destroy it. But before it could do anything to harm him, the supernatural cells in Elliot's body made their move and absorbed them. There was a lot of it, more than a few hundred thousand liters. Yet, the greedy cells of his gobbled them all up. A new line appeared on all of them. It was green, not vibrant but dark like a swirling abyss.

Elliot knew many things about the supernatural cells, and he knew that the amount of material he had consumed till now was enough for most A-grade cells to reach S-grade.

However, for some reason, his cells stopped at the peak of A-grade.

"Still not S-grade? Is there a special condition I need to meet to upgrade them to S-grade?" Elliot said as his eyebrows arched.

[As your mutated cells are a different breed than most supernatural cells, you indeed need to meet a requirement to make them reach S-grade. Unlike normal A-grade cells that can get to S-grade when their owners consume a large quality of A-grade evolution material, you can only upgrade your supernatural cells to S-grade by consuming a seventh-level poison!]

Elliot knew where to get it. He could get a seventh-level poison and a top-grade evolution material from dismembering the spider queen! His desire to reach her and rip her apart increased.

'Ah, I can't wait to upgrade my supernatural cells to the seventh level and become the owner of an S-grade superpower.' Elliot clenched his fist, absorbing the golden dome into himself, causing the count of his essence of life to increase. I should hurry and get to her.'

He turned to the other two and signaled them to move before charging towards the other side of the forest. Freya and Zerrick saw not a single scratch on him. Freya felt relieved. Zerrick hooked up his lips into a smile. He looked seductive. When he smiled, the air around him became charming. No one was looking at him. If someone were, they would have fallen for his charm. The two moved ahead, catching up to Elliot.

"You ate it?" Zerrick questioned.

Elliot licked his lips as if he was relishing its taste and said, "I guess you could say that."

It was tasteless, but it left a warm feeling in and on his body. His lips and skin felt dry. After thinking for a moment, Elliot assumed that he just needed to drink a lot of water and hydrate himself to feel OK.

While they were heading closer and closer to the spider queen's chamber, their sneaky stalker made its move.

Tremble!

Elliot and Zerrick only felt the ground beneath his feet vibrate slightly when a monster burst out of the grassy spot behind Freya.

It was the giant carnivorous monster that she had mentioned to them before entering the forest.

Its vines were wrapped around Freya's petite ankles and slim waist. They had barbs on them. Many of their barbs had penetrated her, secreting strength suppressing liquid into her body. The effect of its juice was usually not instant. However, as it had poured a large quantity of it into Freya's system and she was far weaker than it, she felt helpless. All her strength had left her body, making her extremely weak. She didn't even have the power to move her pinkie or open her mouth to say a word, much less put up a resistance against its hideous actions.

With a harsh tug, it pulled her towards its mouth. It had a hideous mouth. How should a person explain it?

Elliot and Zerrick saw large circles of teeth in its mouth. It had no head. Around the mouth, it had many petals. It had revealed its mouth by pushing them aside. The four petals were bright and shiny, looking much like dual-handed swords that only a giant, burly Viking warrior would like to carry. Its head seemed connected to its plant-like body. It looked more like a warm. More than half of its worm-like body was inside the ground. The rest was outside. 

Freya got a close-up of its mouth. Blackish, four-smelling air surrounded its yellowish teeth that secreted poo-like liquid. For once, she was sure she would not survive if she entered its mouth. She opened her mouth to scream, but not a sound came out. As it turned out, she didn't even have the strength to open her mouth.

[Life-Saving Brick Shot!]

Just as it was about to put its today's dinner into its mouth, Elliot stuffed a vast golden brick into its mouth. 

The brick was a hundred meters tall, but its mouth was quite stretchy, and it managed to take it all in its mouth! If one were to compare it to a pornstar, then it was the best one at giving blowjobs! 

[Flying short swords!]

Elliot made his second move almost instantly after stuffing a brick into it. Many short swords manifested around him, and they multiplied, increasing in number. A few thousand petal-sized Golden swords, he created, and he sent each of them towards the vines that held the kingdom-toppling beauty captive.

Although short, the swords were sharp.

Those who have experienced the might of a small man's sword in the bed and at the table know that short doesn't mean weak and not sharp.

When it comes to penetrating, a sword only needs to be sharp!

The swords chopped the vines apart, and Freya fell to the ground.

By that time, the monster had crushed the brick using its teeth. 

Its reddened eye glared at the freed captive, and it immediately moved its vines to kidnap her in front of Elliot and Zerrick once again.
