Within the examination room for appraisers, Johanna talked about the remuneration the honorable appraiser Joker has scored before passing him an artifact – a spatial pouch full of magic coins.

After he opened it up to take a look inside of it and confirmed that there are around 2 million magic coins inside of it, he found himself rooted to his chair, finding it hard to believe that he has earned 2 million magic coins from merely appraising three items.

"So many magic coins! Are you sure this is for me and not someone else?" Elliot said in a surprised voice, unable to maintain his calm and composure, finding it hard to believe that he has become a millionaire in a single night. Realizing that he is falling out of his character, he quickly composed himself, and said, "I'm trying to confirm this, not because I feel shocked but because I don't want to be troubled later on with this matter."

"Honorable appraiser Joker, you can rest assured. They are indeed for you. The one million magic coins are our way of showing how deeply we care about you and our intent to cooperate with you for a lifetime. We will never mistreat you. And the remaining 800 thousand magic coins are for successfully appraising the artifacts." Johanna said, confirming that all of it is now a part of his wealth.

Elliot's eyes brightened in happiness.

"Congratulations!" Lisa said, placing a kiss on his cheeks.

"That's too dry for such a happy occasion," Elliot said in a calm voice, turning her face towards him, kissing her on the lips, tasting the sweetness of the inside of her mouth under the eyes of Johanna, who blushed to the point of her face turning red but was unable to look away from them.

Elliot went to the hall of the artifact gallery, itching to appraise items for powerful people, not only for the sake of increasing his wealth. He wanted to create a powerful persona for himself, a secret identity that would help him in his time of need, letting him scot-free in this dangerous world until he becomes truly powerful.

For that reason, he has chosen to establish connections with powerful people, get to know them, befriend them, and have them owe himself so that once the time comes, he would be able to call them out, reminding them that they own him and that they must help Elliot, his actual and real self.

Lisa, on the other hand, has stayed behind to have a heart-to-heart conservative with Johanna. She told her that she could escape the fate of becoming the wife of a sex-crazed maniac since Mister. Joker is willing to accept her as his wife as long as she vows on her life to never reveal his identity to the world until he allows it, remain faithful to him, pay him a hundred thousand magic coins every month, perform her duties as a wife, and most importantly, serve him well in bed.

Yes, Elliot has agreed to enter into a fake marriage with her, but only if she signs a magic contract and agrees to all his demands.

He did so because it would be no different than owning free real estate.

Lisa nodded, and Johnna hugged her, crying in her arms and expressing her thanks, telling her that this means a lot to her.

Lisa patted her head gently, comforting her.

"I agree with the terms and conditions." Johanna agreed readily, as she knew that someone like Joker is the best match for her.

"You made a good choice."

Now, they need to wait for the Joker to gain recognization from the masses and become famous. After that, she will sign a magic contract and he will marry her. She needed to sign a magic contract as that was the most important requirement set by Joker. In case she tries to breaks any of the clauses mentioned inside of it, she would lose the abilities of her body. For example, if she uses her mouth to try to reveal the identity of the joker, she will lose her ability to talk. If she try to write his name, she will lose all feeling in her hand before she can even write a single letter. If she tries to indirectly reveal his real identity then she will lose all control of her body.

Such was the power of a magic contract, something hard to come by but possessed by many who are rich enough to afford it.
