"N-Not you too..." (Ray)

When I open my eyes, my father stopped that attack. I am glad my father come. But, he has been injured so bad. When that happen?

This morning, my father train me in the forest. It has been four month from the first training. He forced me to learn how to fight after he saw me reading a book that I borrow from Mathias at home.

What I read is a book about "Government Influence in Economy". Yeah, that book is necessary if you want to be a merchant like Mathias. Even though I not want to be a merchant. I just thirst fo knowledge.

Unfortunately, father doesn't like the idea I read a book that unrelated to fighting. Since that he train me like hell.

This morning, he doesn't have any wound in his body. Is he got that after I ran away? Is that bear attack when he loose? What a coincidence? How can I didn't hear that?

Forget about that, seems like he have been parry the monster attack. However, it has the second attack. It hit my father. Even has been like that, father still in the same position when he saved me.

"Ray... Run, s-save your life." (Father)

"Bu-but, how about you?" (Ray)

"I can handle this myself." (Father)

"No.... You can't!" (Ray)

I said that while crying. I suddenly hear a voice. A very pleasant voice. It sound so gentle. I feel like being charmed by that voice.

"You can not do anything. Surrender, give up, you can not run away. This is your fate. There is nothing you can do."

That's right, I can not do anything right now. I don't have enough power to fight that.

Even I can use sword, it is still not enough. I do not have any experience to fighting a monster. I still can not use any magic. Even tough like that, but...

"LIKE HELL I WOULD DIE HERE!!!" (Ray)

That's right, whoever said that I am not giving up. This decision only me who can decide it. Surrender or not, run or die here. Only ME can choose that!

I made up my mind. After saying that I ran away from here. Father still fight that bear. He is buying me some time to run. That time, I saw the last smile from my father. I run while crying that scenery.

While running, I thinking how can this happen. Let's set up the situation right now. Not long after I came back from forest, a frenzy bear attack the village. It came from direction I training before. So, I conclude my father have been fight with this monster.

Altough my father was B-rank adventurer. However he only carried the wood sword for my training. That must be why my father injured so badly.

My father pretend to death and the bear leave him. It attack the village after that. Mathias warn everyone because he see that bear came. However, he draw the attention.

I too afraid to move, so Mathias pull me and switch the position to save me. I spaced out and doesn't take the opportunity.

At the very last, my father took his sword from home and save me even he injured badly. And now, I am not missing this chance to run away.

That's all I can conclude right now. There is still have a mystery how can this happen. This is not normal, someone behind this.

This is just a small village. If someone use monster to attack, what profit from doing that? Is he/she doing this for revenge? Is there is kind of treasure?

Leave that aside. At least I have survive. I have run so far from village. Even tough like that, this is not enough. That monster probably caught me if only this far.

Suddenly heavy rain appear. All the road become mud. It is hard to move.

"Shit, it is the worst possibility." (Ray)

I must thanks to father who have been trained me for four month. I feel more lighter while running and not very exhausted. But with this terrain right now, I cannot do much.

*ROAAAAAARRRR*

I look to the voice source is.

"This quick? Come on up, you must be joking.]"(Ray)

I can see his shadow. It is useless, I can't speed up anymore. This mud makes running so difficult.

I look again to the bear come from. It stop chasing me(?) Why? What happen?

Suddenly...

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!" (Ray)

I slipped and fell. As I see to the cliff I think

'Is this the end? Is this how I die?'

At that time I see three people on the cliff. They seems like trying to help me. Who are they?
