Chapter 30 - Ch.30: New Comrade

I slowly open my eyes along with my soul back to me. I look at Cecil's body and she already close her eyes for now. I am sure she will wake up soon.

I look at Lily and Vi with exhausted face. Who thinks this magic will consume my mana this much. Lily who from the beginning in my side suddenly hugging me tightly and about to cry.

"Ray *sniff* I think you gonna die....huwaaa." (Lily)

Oh, she already crying.

"There is blood spilled from your mouth you know. We really worry about you." (Violet)

With reflex my hand go around my lip.

"I know that, thanks for healing me before, Vi."

The only one who can use healing magic so skillful is Vi. She is a holy priest after all. She can easily mastering all kind of heal and recovery magic without too much effort. That's what the goddess Arisa blessed to her.

"That is not much, you must say thanks to Lily. She really trust you can do this so she not forcefully canceling your magic." (Violet)

Oy, you trying to kill me or what? Haven't I told you if anything bad happen you can cancel it without anymore permission from me? Haaah, well whatever, if she cancel it then I will never have her back. I turn my gaze to Lily and smile to her while petting her head.

"Yeah, thanks Lily to trust in me. I will make sure to repay it."

She rubs her eyes to remove her tears and looking at me.

"Then...I want to do it tonight." (Lily)

Wait, do you have any sense of embrass.e.m.e.nt!? But I already told her to repay her favor so there is no way I can refuse that. I scrath my head and let a sigh.

"Fine! let's do that."

After that, Lily smile brightly and once again hug me. How fast her mood change in a second I agree with her. And for some reason I felt a strong jealously came from Vi.

"Ahem! It's almost time for the breakfast so let us go to dining hall." (Violet)

Thanks for saving me from trouble, Vi. Although I only say that in my mind.

"I am not going."

"Why?" (Violet)

"Someone have to keep an eye to her also I promised her that I will be here when she opened her eyes."

The moment I said that, Lily's gaze become annoyed to me. Such a woman killer. That what she thinking looking at her expression. I just can make a gesture for apologize to her since I have no other choices. She let out her breath and say fine with her face and heading to the door. It really weird since this is the first time we make a conversation just by an expression an we understand each other.

"Then, I will tell a maid to bring your portion here." (Violet)

"Thanks."

"Then please excuse me." (Violet)

She went outside and heading to dining hall.

"Don't do anything weird to her." (Lily)

"I know!"

And finally Lily went to the dining hall too leaving us alone. Only me and Cecil in this room.

"So, what are you losing at?"

It's kinda weird since no one here but there is a voice that answer me. It's voice not from me or Cecil. This voice is the same one like I heard in Erta six years ago. The voice that led me to despair for a moment answer me like it's not her after all.

"I make a bet to myself that you wouldn't make it."

Hoouh...it's sound interisting.

"The bet?"

"A contract with you."

"Then it means I won it, right?"

She just let out a sigh when she hear me.

"Are you happy?"

"Of course, it's sure rare to make you want to sign a contract without turning someone into crazy, Beelz."

There is a silent for a moment when she heard that.

"You already know it? Also, why you calling me Beelz?!" (Beelzebub)

"'Spirit of Destruction' and 'Spirit of Despair', it's not just a name, right? You almost hit me down many times but unfortunately failed. And for your second question...you already know that I do not want something that complicated since you said you always with me though."

"But I never thought that you will do the same to the spirit." (Beelzebub)

"Then now you know I would, right?"

The moment after that, Cecil's body began to move. Her consciousness slowly coming back to her. She opened her eyes and looking at the ceiling. She knew that she is no longer at the slave shop. She looking her surrounding carefully until she finally see me. She relieved that I fulfill my promise

"Good morning, how is your body."

Hearing that, she looking at her body, tears of joy coming out from her eyes. She can hide her happiness anymore.

"Is...this for real?" (Cecilya)

"Yeah, I have told you, right? I have granted your wish"

Everything that happens in her soul realm can be remembered. That's good since I do not have wasting my time to introducing myself again. She repeatedly murmurring 'thank you' to me while rubbing her eyes. I just can smile while waiting her to calm down.

Someone knocking the door after a while. I told Cecil to keep quiet when I heading to the door and open it.

"Mister Ray, this is your breakfast portion. The princess told me to bring it here." (Maid)

I accept the tray and say my thanks to her and coming back to her. I put the tray near to her and sit beside her.

"Here, you have to eat it."

She stares at the meal the maid brought here.

"H-how about you?" (Cecilya)

"No need to mind me, your health come first."

Even though I telling her like that,s he still not moving from her position.

"Fine, I get it."

I take a bread and make it two and eat one of them.

"Here, I have got my portion. You must eat the rest since I need you to quickly recover."

She just woke up a moment ago and it will be bad if I not doing what she want, at least for this time. I must keep her mental state stable right now.

"B-but even you said that I..." (Cecilya)

I take a soup out of the tray and with a spoon I try to feed her.

"Here, there is no need for you to hold yourself. Is anything wrong you can let me know anytime you want. You can't eat this by yourself, right? Come on, open your mouth."

It is normal since she never use her body for...I do not know how long but I am certain it's long since her body becoming this weak. She nodded and open her mouth. I feed her until she eat it all. I clean the room and make it as comfortable as I can for her. She still need every support she can have.

"Uhmm.... I am sorry about before, master. To make you feed me, I am feel like failed to be useful for you." (Cecilya)

I sat beside her and once again holding her hand.

"There is no need for you to feel like that. Your condition is not in a good shape so it's normal if I help you. Also there is no need for you to call me like that, you can call me Ray."

Alongside with her head shake, she answer.

"No! Let me call you master! You bought me, right? At least this is what I can do for you right now." (Cecilya)

"If that's the case then I can remove the slave seal if you want."

"No need! You are my benefactor so please let me to keep it. I already dedicate all of me to you, master." (Cecilya)

I let out my breath and scratch my head.

"If that what you want then do it."

Her expressions full of joy after I said that. She smile brightly to me.

"Thank you, master. I will do anything for you so please let me stay by your side." (Cecilya)

I just smile and nodded her. I grab my bag and take out a potion.

"Here, drink this."

"What is that?" (Cecilya)

She puzzled when I take out the potions. It is not your normal potion that you can see in the market everyday. This is my self-made potion.

"A recovery boost. After this, you have to take a rest. We will be going tomorrow."

She nodded and drank the potion. She followed my instruction and currently sleep right now. Looking at her face that still afraid to be alone, I sat near her and held her hand. She now be more at ease when she knows that I am with her. It's a troublesome but I can take it for now. It won't last long, I am sure of it.

Right at the moment, Lily and Vi just coming back from breakfast.

"She still asleep?" (Violet)

"She woke up a moment ago for breakfast but right now she needs to take a rest. Also we are leaving by tomorrow."

Both of them are surprise.

"Why you leaving? Is there anything wrong?" (Violet)

"There is nothing wrong. I just thinking about her. We can't hide her in here any longer so I thought to bring her with me and living in the city until the party. I also want to see her power just now."

Lily let a sigh out of her mouth. I just can give them a faint smile out of my face.

"And for that, I will trust you, Lily to take care of Vi when I'm not here. You too Vi, please take care of Lily."

"Yeah!" (Lily & Violet)

"Now, please keep an eye on her. I want to sleep right now."

The magic before was consume huge amounts of my mana. Maybe, I must train my <Creation Art> now. I thought that my efficiency on that art still too low, too many my mana wasted. Let's just do that by tomorrow.

I fell asleep and it's about noon now. I sleep at the chair near Cecil and Lily also fell asleep with her head on my l.a.p. I can't blame her since she woke up all night to help her too. I not seeing Vi right now probably because she is busy with her job as princess.

I wake her up and tell her it's about time to lunch. Like before, I will be in the room while keep Cecil safe. I think I will be a shut-in for today. The food delivered to my room like this morning and I eat it. Cecil probably will not wake up soon because her mental fatigue already too much.

On the second thought, maybe this is the perfect time to use my <Creation Art> to make a new magic. I need to improving my battle style so I can make a countermeasure of opponents that I may be faced on.

Popping out the screen again, I search trough out my memories. There is a lot things can be made by my current knowledge but I will start something that I can use it in short time and I can fully control it. That's give me an idea.

"Master.... Master.... Where are you?" (Cecilya)

Right at the moment I finished it, she start to open her eyes again. I respond to her with quickly answer her.

"I am here, don't worry."

She feels relieve when she hear me. Looking at her conditions, she seems to be alright now. Evem though like that, I need to confirm it.

"How is your condition?"

She try to move her body. So, the potion really boost her recovery ability, huh? Even though I made it by myself, I never used it before.

"I am pretty much better now." (Cecilya)

"Good for you, we will leave from this place tomorrow. We need to reshape your ability since I am sure it is already a long time you not used it. You okay with it?"

She nods her head.

"As long as it with master, I will never say no." (Cecilya)

So this is what they mean as devote theirself to someone.

"By the way, you are an archer, right?"

"Yeah, is something matter with it?" (Cecilya)

I shake my head left and right.

"No, I just want to make sure of it."

"By the way master, how you know about it?" (Ceilya)

"I will tell it later."

I look at her status and I can be at ease since she has fully recover.
