"Master, what is this place?"

We stopped at a big building where there is a lot of human with weapons get inside. I never seen something like this before.

"So, this is your first time? Well...this is adventurer guild, a place where someone like me work at. We accept quest and do as the quest wanted. Once you finished it then you come back here and report it to gain the reward." (Ray)

Master told me so but doesn't it means there will be a lot of humans? This is human country and an elf like me never be here. Is that really alright? I can't help but worrying about myself. Even though I cover my face with a robe but there is still a possibility that I will get harmed again.

Master walk into the guild and I following him behind. I must trust master, he will be save me again if I am in trouble.

Surprisingly, in this place not only filled with human, there is some elves and beastkin. Still walking, master explained to me.

"Even though this is a human country but the guild didn't mind the races. So it is normal to see other races than human here. They are not much because most of them just temporarily here after escorting a merchant. The adventurers gathering at the board to picking up the quests for them. But for us, we will queue for a moment at the registration desk." (Ray)

The registration desks is also packed by peoples. After waiting in the line, it's our turn now.

"Welcome to adventurer guild. Do you want to make a guild card?" (Receptionist)

The receptionist is a woman around twenty with a ponytail. She is looking at master full of smile but I know that is just a fake. Master smiles back at her and approaching the desk.

"Sorry, but the one who making the card is her. I will test her for the rank placement so please make it quick." (Ray)

The lady laugh at master statement.

"Is that a joke? Well, it's not a problem to have something like this for a moment." (Receptionist)

"Oh, that's right. I forgot to show you this." (Ray)

Master picked up something inside his bag and showing it to the receptionist.

"Here's my guild card." (Ray)

"Oh, you are adventurer already." (Receptionist)

The lady quickly take a look at master's card. Her face turned with face full of shocked. She took master's card from his hand and looking at it carefully. Suddenly she hand over the card and bow her body to master.

"I apologize to not recognize you!" (Receptionist)

Master takes back his card and put it back in his bag.

"Don't worry, I didn't mind it at all." (Ray)

"Even though you say that I still feel bad about before." (Receptionist)

"Like I said don't worry about it. Then, can you hand over the form to her?" (Ray)

"Yes!" (Receiptionist)

In a blink of eyes, she take a bunch of papers and put it on the desk.

"Oy oy, doesn't it too much?" (Ray)

Once again she bowing to master repeatedly.

"I am sorry, I feel too excited and can't control myself." (Receptionist)

"Well, that's okay. I just a bit surprise because of that. Cecil,you can write, right?" (Ray)

"Yeah."

"Then I will leave you here for a moment. Lady receptionist, please keep her for a while!" (Ray)

"Leave it to me." (Receptionist)

Master went to the board full of peoples. The lady give me a paper and a pen to fill the form. What master say is right. There is no races coloumn here. The adventurert hings like this never be seen by me before. The guild must be created after the elves war.

Without I notice, the lady look at me with a curious expression. I am afraid that I am be noticed by her.

"Is there something wrong?"

I ask her with a low voice while filling the form.

"I just wondering what kind of person he took as his apprentice? I never think someone as great as him want to pass his knowledge this fast. To be an apprentice of someone like him, you must be proud of it." (Receptionist)

"Eh?"

"What's wrong?" (Receptionist)

"Nothing, just...I am not his disciple."

Her face now full of question.

"Is that so? But, you are calling him 'master' since before." (Receptionist)

"Yes, he is my master."

"Then there is no doubt you are his apprentice." (Receptionist)

"No, I am his slave."

There is a silent between us that make the situation right now is awkward. But there is something in my mind. I am wondering why is this lady's attitude when talking with master like seeing a hero before.

"Is my master that great?"

She is surprises when I say that. Her face showing like didn't believe there is someone who doesn't know him.

"Are you serious!? You never hear anything about him?" (Receptionist)

She hit the desk and brought her body forward. I nodded quickly without saying a word.

"Well, I can't blame you since I also didn't expect that he is this young. You know, he is an A-Rank adventurer from Razel that his name already known all over this country. He ranked up to A-Rank recently. What made him so great is the method he used to rank up. Alongside with her partner Lily, both of them only took subjugation quests and completed without failed. Now both of them known as Lord of Hunter since they have been killed many strong monsters at the first time they met them." (Receptionist)

Listening to the lady's explanation, I completely amazed of master. The first time I met him was in my dream. I don't know why but it felt so real like I really meet him directly. The moment I woke up, I already knowledge him as my master and as someone who save me from the endless nightmare I had. He heal my body, gave me courage to make a new life, and he also will be by my side whenever I need help. The moment I captured by some humans, everyday was a hell for me. I do not know how much time has passed since then but I want to be strong so I can stand beside him proudly.

"Is he not coming with his partner? I heard both of them always together." (Receptionist)

"She come to the town but currently is busy on something."

"Is that so?.... Wait, that means you also have met her?" (Receptionist)

Once again, she hit the desk. I only nod her without a word come out from my mouth. Right at the moment I nod, there is a ruckus at the board master went before.

"Oy, doesn't this quest too much for a child like you? Better you leave this to a pro. Get away and search another quest for a baby like you."

There is a big guy facing my master. He has a scary face and his body muscular and far bigger than master. Both of them right now holding a same paper on the board.

"I don't think this is too much for me. Rather than that, I can finish this quest easily." (Ray)

Master's answer make the big guy looks annoyed to master.

"Oh, is that so? But I am the first one who take it."

"Sorry, but you a late second for taking this quest. Better you search another quest than wasting your time here." (Ray)

The big guy smash the board angrily but in instant the quest paper already in master's hand.

"What!? Where is the paper?"

"See...you are a second late for this quest. Well then, see ya." (Ray)

Master waving the paper while walking here. The big guy face turning red because of his anger. He take out his big sword from his back and rushing to master.

"ORRRAAAAAAH!"

Master didn't look back and just simply turning his body to the side and make the big guy attack miss the target. He nearly cut another adventurer the moment it didn't hit master and the attack stopped there. Master ignore it like a wind and currently he is beside me handing over the paper he took before and taking out another papers from his bag. There is five papers on the desk in total. I can see that all of them are subjugation quest.

"Sorry but I don't have any intention to pick a fight. I will take it all. Is the card completed yet?" (Ray)

Ah! That's remind me, I still not writing anything on the form. I quickly fill the form and handing it over to the receptionist.

"Sorry master, I am carried away when talking about master with her."

"Hey! Why are you made me the one who doing wrong here!?" (Receptionist)

"Don't fight because of the small thing.

Make it quick, please." (Ray)

"Yes!" (Receptionist)

After waiting a moment my card is ready and I need to drip a blood there to activate it. After that we are heading out of the guild but the man from before blocking the way.

"Don't you think to run from me!"

Master just smile to that man and stand in front of me.

"That's never cross my mind." (Ray)

Master is a bit short than me, his height around my nose so I still can see clearly what is happening.

"You acted so high since before like you are better than me. Seems like child nowadays need to get some lesson, huh!?"

"You know, I really really want to know what kind of lesson you will give to me. But, on the second though I think it's probably the same boring 'lesson' that many guys told me before this." (Ray)

"You really do not know your place, huh!? Then I will show it to you!"

That man charges toward master who just standing there calmly. He is not moving his body a bit. Even at that moment he still talk back to that man.

"Unfortunately, Any violence act among the adventurers inside the guild is forbidden by the guild itself." (Ray)

At that moment the guy fell to the floor, his body trembling hard and his eyes full of fear like seeing a dragon. It make everyone in this guild wondering with what is happening in front of their eyes.

"Is that the power of a lord?" (Receptionist)

I can hear someone from the back murmurring something. I know who it was and her voice is trembling. I took a glance to her and found that she also feeling the same way as the guy before. Then I suddenly notice that everyone here also scared of master. Master just walking away to the door and I hurriedly follow him. When we are outside, I brace myself to ask master.

"Master, why they are suddenly scared of master?"

"I just wanted to intimidate him by releasing a bit of my power but seems like I went overboard." (Ray)

"But why am I the only one who can't feel it?"

"Maybe, because I already acknowledge you as my ally. After all, my target is everyone there except my ally so I hope you can understand it." (Ray)

I can't believe there is someone who can do that. As long as I know, there is a skill named [Intimidation] that is a skill to show your power and will affect both ally and enemies. The fact that he can choose the target who will be affected by his power means that is a skill that beyond the [Intimidation] itself. No, I can say that is not a skill. That is the ability he has to fully control his power as he like. I am amazed by master's power who already beyond mine even though he is still young. I hardly believe that there will be another human that will surpass master's power at his age. I really grateful that I was saved by him, to serve an amazing master like him
