Bleach: New Beginning

Chapter 12 - Captains meeting.

"Looks like we're the firsts one here," The captain announced. A day had passed since the events of interrogation. The head captain had arranged for a Captains meeting to take place.

We had made it to the First division rather quickly. When we got there, no one was present.

"Captain why did you bring me here? You could have told them what I told you." I asked. There was no reason to bring me here.

"I wanted to show you off. I wanted them to see how good my 5th seat was. The head captain also granted me permission for you to come. You are an expert in this situation," He said proudly.

"Captain, I'll get shy."

We continued discussing for a few more minutes before a familiar face came inside. It was the Captain of the 4th division. Retsu Unohana. She walked towards the two of us.

"Ah Kumagawa-san, what a surprise to see you here." She said in her usual soft tone.

"The Captain believed it would be best if I came along with him."

"I see. Is the head captain aware of this?"

"Yes, ma'am." He said politely. She nodded at him.

"Kumagawa how have you been?" She asked. She felt sad when he didn't come after his graduation, so she wanted to catch up with him.

"I've been fine Captain, tired, but fine." I answered honestly. With all that was going on, I was getting much sleep.

"I understand how you feel, many people have been coming to my division with a lack of sleep. Hopefully, this situation ends soon."

"Well, it's not I can tell you that much." I stated bluntly.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some of them were dull, like the captain of the 6th division Sugita Kuchiki. He was nobility, so it would make sense that he was boring. The captain of the 2nd division was also similar, he was the head of the Shihoin clan. His name was Yoshiro Shihoin.

. (A/N: I would write Ginrei Kuchiki, but when Shunsui was naming the captains who've served for longer than 100 years he didn't name him.)

The 13th division captain was a kind and soft-spoken man. He seemed to be friends with the eccentric and oddly clothed captain of the 8th division, Shunsui Kyoraku.

"So you're the prodigy child of the 10th division." The pink kimono wearing captain said to me.

"Pleasure to meet you captains." I bowed.

"There's no need to be so formal around me." He ȧssured.

Before I could say anything A fellow with silver hair and elegant moustache came out the door.

"The head captain is waiting captains." He announced.

The captains entered the meeting hall. I stayed close to the captain and walked in with him. When we got in the captain lined up in the hall. I stood behind the captain. Infront of us, the Head captain was before us. This was the strongest man in the whole of the Soul Society, the man who for 1,000 years had never been defeated. The very strongest.

"Welcome captains, the 10th division has uncovered new information on the revolution. The 5th seat of the 10th division will tell us all about it, questions are welcome." He stated.

I took a breath and walked forward. All eyes were on me now.

"During an interrogation I discovered that most of the lower districts in the Rukongai are the home of the headquarters of the Rukongai Revolutionary Forces. Most bases comprises a commander and 100,00 people, however the location of the main headquarters is unknown. The leader, Masahiro, is paranoid and is always moving the location of it." I explained.

"Masahiro, is that the name of the leader? Is there any information on him?" Ukitake asked.

"The prisoner said he looks like he's in his 20s, has a moustache and black hair the only standout feature is a mole on the bottom side of his mouth. He has a gravity-related power." I answered.

"So how does one join this revolution? Is there some trial?" Yoshiro asked.

"No, not really. He finds kids in the Rukongai that show any signs of having Reiatsu and then he manipulates them into having the same ideals as him. He then trains them to fight against the Gotei 13."

"What are the goals? What do they want to get out of this?"

"They want the tradition of noble houses to be dissolved." I didn't really care about noble people, to me they were regular people. "They also want the current government to be changed into a republic. They want everyone regardless of their status to be a part of changing the Soul Society. Central 46 is also to be stripped of all their authority and become regular souls. It's all very radical."

The captains began discussing amongst themselves before the head captain tapped his cane on the floor, grabbing their attention.

"5th seat Kumagawa, how sure are you of this?" Yamamoto asked.

"Im certain, sir." I replied full of confidence.

"Good. I want the 2nd division to go scout the area's of the Rukongai which are home to these bases. Do not engage. The 3rd division and 10th will do information gathering on the main forces of this revolution. The 7th division will be in charge of planning and strategising an offensive. All other divisions will be on standby until further notice." He announced.

"Yes, Sir." Everyone said.

"I dismiss this meeting." He finished.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Man, that was nerve-wrecking." I said to my captain. Captain Ukitake and Captain Kyoraku had joined us in discussing the events of the meeting.

"You did fine." A familiar voice said. I turned around, and it was the head captain.

"Thank you, sir," I bowed

"I expect great things from you, Kumagawa."

"I won't disappoint you, sir." I felt kind of good to receive such words from the head captain.

The head captain turned around and went away.

"The head captain has seemed to take a liking to your Kuma-san," Kenji said.

"I guess even the head captain couldn't resist my charms." I joked.

"Don't let him hear you say that. You'll get one of his 'beatings'" Kenji said.

"Ah, I haven't got one of Yama-ji's beatings in years. It brings back memories, doesn't it, Ukitake." Shunsui said.

"I'd rather not remember." Ukitake said while smiling.

"We have our work cut out for us now." Captain Kenji said.

"Tell me about it. I hope this whole thing ends as soon as possible." Kyoraku said. He sounded like the lazy captain of the 5th division.

"Kenji your division probably has the most work to do, I'm worried about your division more than mine." Ukitake said.

"I'm sure they can handle it. They knew what they were getting into when they became shinigami."

I guess that means I won't be getting a day off soon.

"Yeah I guess that's true." Ukitake replied.

We spoke for a few more minutes before Kenji decided it was time to leave.

"I guess it's time for us to leave. I'll see you two another time."

"Bye Kenji. Kumagawa try and visit the 13th division when you have time." Ukitaked requested.

"goodbye you two."

Kenji and I left the division barracks and made our way home.
