Bleach: New Beginning

Chapter 3 - Reiatsu training and kido training

Captain Unohana informed me that the academy would be recruiting in 3 weeks. This gave me 3 weeks to build on my knowledge and to train in controlling my reiatsu and reiryoku. Unohana had given me a tip on how to train with it. Meditation. She said I had to feel my reiryoku flowing through my body and then I had to control it and mould it.

After a few hours of meditating, I could finally feel something warm within my body, it flowing through my body like it was my blood. It took a while for me to mould it and send parts of it to certain places of my body like my fist and feet.

I continued this training for the rest of the day to get used to it. I wanted by the end of this to be able to charge certain parts of my limbs with reiryoku to the point where I can do it without even thinking. I also found out that I had unusually high amounts of reiatsu. People other than Unohana weren't able to come near me without passing out or running in fear. I hope that this wouldn't be a problem in the future while I'm in the academy.

A few days later, I had improved greatly both in terms of my skill and knowledge. I had a wooden sword which I was practising basic sword techniques with. Captain Unohana had given me a few books which had helped me with my research on the soul society and its hierarchy. I came across a few interesting things such as central 46 and the kido corps. Kido was something that had interested me, so I asked Captain Unohana to demonstrate a kido. She took me outside to the 4th division training ground and what I saw after was what made me want to learn kido.

"Look carefully Kumagawa san. Hado 31: Shakkaho" She exclaimed. And all of a sudden without pause a large red orb erupted out of her finger. "Most people will need to recite the chant but if you train enough you can do it without it."

"Captain Unohana please teach me" I bowed. I wanted to learn it.

"I'm sorry but I can't teach you as a captain I'm incredibly busy" My face dropped "However I can give you some books that can teach you Kido" Although I would prefer if Captain Unohana taught me this was just as good

"Thank you, Captain."

She took me back inside and took me to the library where I was doing a lot of my studying. She took out a book called 'kido for beginners'. "This is the best book for beginners who want to learn the art of kido.

"I'm grateful for this Unohana san" I bowed again.

"You can repay me by learning a few of these by the time of your examination."

"You won't regret this" I ran off back to my temporary dorm.

A week later

"Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hado 31: Shakkaho!." a large crimson orb erupted out of the palm of my hand and hit the dummy in front of me. Without missing a beat I jumped over to the next dummy and a yellow crackling appeared in my arm I use this energy to draw an inverted yellow triangle, which generates solidified energy in the shape of smaller triangles from its three points. The smaller triangles fire and hit the dummy into a nearby wall"Bakudo 30: Shitotsu sansen"

Turns out I was a kido prodigy. I didn't have much trouble learning and performing kido. To me, kido was something that had endless potential. I recently started looking into kaido which is what they use to heal people in the battlefield and the hospitals. You have to first perform reiatsu restoration. By doing so, one can attempt to recover the physical body using the patient's restored Reiatsu and the healer's external Reiatsu. The book had spoke about something called forbidden Kido spells. These spells are considered forbidden by the soul society. Using these spells will result in imprisonment. The forbidden kido are those that result in the user's death or involve the manipulation of space and time. This just made me more excited, to be honest.

I had made a timetable which I would be following for the duration of time until my entrance exam.

Kido training - 6.30 -12.00 PM
