Blood Emperor's Lazy Doctor [Hiatus]

Chapter 11 - The bear and the rabbit.

Summoning forth the materials for the array, floating around Hong Luo's spirit, forming a circle. A Moonlight Lotus, a Black Devil's Snare, a single Immortal Mermaid Tear, and eight saint beast cores.

Sensing an impending danger the poison spirit strikes Hong Luo, swaying only to dive head first.

While she was activating the array, the poison spirit rams into a wall. This was formed out of her spirit energy with Essence reinforcing it, making for a multi layered defense.

Albeit, her essence energy isn't strong, cracking on contact, since she isn't a cultivator.

The poison spirit strikes the wall over and over in defiance. Hissing at her and spitting venom, causing the wall to wane.

Hong Luo increases her energy in an attempt to restrain its movements.

Gritting her teeth, a trail of blood flows out, "Tch, looks like I need to exert myself."

Stealthily, she takes out a jade bottle, with an encrusted spider, swallowing the contents whole. A violent energy runs rampant. You wouldn't think just by looking at her serene visage, she was enduring inhumane amounts of pain as those mysterious contents take effect.

Solidifying her spirit and further enhancing the energy in her defenses, reshaping into chains that bind themselves to the poison spirit, halting its tantrum. Hong Luo's spirit level shockingly rises to an impossible realm. The man watching has already been thoroughly stunned. Her spirit is at the level of a Sovereign lord!

With her spirit at the level of a Sovereign, her appearance the dantian has become more solid. The young girl, no longer looking her age. Adorned in a simple yet elegant white gown, tightly hugging her body, her cloud like hair flowing in gentle waves hides her face. A fairy likeness, depicting an aloof goddess, that spends her time treading the mountains in solitude.

This mysterious girl, made this man, that resembles the god of death, drown with no way to stay afloat. The centuries old rational has been thrown to the four winds.

What she has done is not just simply stir his emotions, but managed to start a fire inside a millennium old iceberg. This fire itches and burns, with no way for him to put it out.

Unconsciously, this frozen, wooden face spasms yet again. But this time is much different then before. His lips arc into a serene smile, gentle and free flowing as water. This smile holds no rival, beating Hong Luo's into the dirt and mud.

He can't understand what he feels, a true to honest blank canvas. He who thinks emotions to be enigmatic, finds this very interesting.

The look in his eyes as they gaze upon Hong Luo have begun to change. Into what you may ask? Even he does not know that question.

On the other side, the poison spirit has been fully suppressed and is no longer disobeying. Hong Luo becomes pleased, "Obedient child, it's past your bedtime. Let big sister lull you to sleep" into a dream in which you never awake.

Activating the array, the spirit beast cores encircle the poison spirit, trapping it thoroughly. Once reaching a certain point, the poison spirit is forced to shrink.

An obscure amount of time later, becoming a desirable size, Hong Luo sends her energy into the spirit beast cores, shattering them.

With the help of her spiritual energy and the arrays profound laws, the shattered cores surround the poison spirit, forming a larger core, encasing and locking it within. The devil's snare and moonlight lotus attach themselves to the large core, wrapping their roots around, entwining together, finding their way inside.

The fragrance of the two flowers put the spirit to sleep, utterly confining him. Speaking a profound chant, whilst her hands speed through profound hand signs, Hong Luo's motions cause the immortal mermaid's tear to shine, then burst out with a flash of energy, releasing a cry of a mournful mermaid, pushing the confined poison spirit to a desolate corner of the dantian.

Letting out a breath of relief, "Its done."

The god of war watches as she vanishes from his dantian done with her treatment, or better yet battle against his poison spirit. It's safe to say this is something he will never forget. The shroud of death all but gone from his eyes, replaced with a profound energy, radiating from its depths.

Upon opening his eyes, his first sight causes him to freeze. The little rabbit has unexpectedly fallen in a dead faint on his l.a.p.

Trembling, his mind a blank, unable to conjure what to do in such a situation. Normally he'd be disgusted if a female deigned to desecrate him, instantly turning them into meat pasta. But this time is somehow different. He doesn't know how it is. He just knows none of those feelings of disgust are present.

He doesn't think too deeply, treating her like a small wounded animal.

Pursing his lips, reaching out, placing his index and third finger on her wrist.

The stark comparison between his and her hand is visually pleasing to the eye. A small and supple lotus root, having a near boneless frame, next to a large and lean chungii bamboo rod, which was gaunt with a smooth sheen.

His gaze can't help but soften, yet hidden underneath a slight trace of concern.

Minutes later, letting out a breath after confirming she was merely exhausted. Tucking the loose strands of hair behind her ears, he gazed upon her face for a long time, a slight tent of red appeared across his irises.

As time trickled on by, the sun beginning its descent beyond the trees, the silhouette of the two were wrapped in shadow. The blackened robe brought forth the illusion of a huge bear, and the lotus root arm peeking out the side, the image of its prey.

Deep within those irises, the red tent reseeds as his eyes left her. Taking but a moment to glance at the sky, he returns his eyes to her, using his index finger to hold her chin, while his thumb cleans off the blood that had turned black, trailing down her lips.

Gently he wraps Hong Luo in his arms. Slowly standing up, keeping the girl in his arms undisturbed. He was afraid with the slightest of movement he'd cause undo harm to the fragile bunny.

Turning towards the forest, he walks off, with Hong Luo curled up in his protective embrace.

Walking at a leisurely pace. His stride large and domineering. As well as proud but solemn, with the bearing of a lone king that has returned to his lands. The path he's taking may look random but its anything but.

If Hong Luo were awake, her eyes would widen in disbelief. Isn't he walking the exact path she took through the forest? She would most-likely deny that in a second, believing it was all in her head.

Yet, truth was stranger than fiction. Cause little more than an hour later, the god of war landed in Forbearing Bygone, with Hong Luo still resting in his embrace. Not a hair out of place on her pretty head.

Making his way inside the house. He then gently laid her in bed. Tucking her safely within her quilt.
