In the outskirts of the Cocoyasi village at the orange groves, Arlong was holding a gun on Bellemere's face. She refused to say that she wasn't the mother of Nami and Nojiko, even if it meant losing her life from the lack of money.

While the villagers were trying to stop the execution, they couldn't do anything about the waves of fishmen blocking their path.

Arlong eyed Bellemere's determined eyes with an arrogant smirk, and he said, "Human, die for your stupid love! You'll be the first example of my rule here!"

When the smoke created from the gun shot cleared, Buzz… everyone's jaw dropped. I was there, holding the melted remnants of the bullet in my fist and a trident in my other hand. Lightning was writhing from my entire body, ready to be unleashed upon any moment.

At the intensity of all the villager's emotions, they looked upon me like I'm their savior deity.

"Leo, run away!"

Bellemere's mind had exploded from an intensity of emotions, but she still recognized me and prioritized my safety.

Arlong may have been startled for a second, but he regained his exposure quickly too and put his nose in the air with egotism.

Puchi…! With the help of my Armament Haki imbued at the tip of my weapon, I drove my trident into the heart of Arlong through his tough scales. All his attempts to maneuver away from my strike were futile in front of my Kenbunshoku Haki.

Everything happened so quickly that everyone could only blink their eyes before Arlong fell. In front of them now was a young child, cleaning his trident after killing a fishmen with monstrous strength. Neither the fishmen nor the villagers could believe their eyes for a good few seconds.

Uooooh…! The fishmen clenched their jaw in anguish and charged, still refusing to believe their captain was dead. Even though Arlong may not have been the most ethical person, his crew was surely one of the most tight-knit ones around. There was no way they wouldn't take revenge for their captain…

I couldn't help but yawn at the fishmen charging at me together. I raised my hand and pointed my finger, which had already turned into lightning.

Soon the smell of death lingered the area with none of the fishmen escaping my grasp. A few lucky ones survived with severe burns, only temporarily incapacitated.

The villagers gazed at the scene with flushed faces full of shock, excitement, and fear. They all waited patiently for me to say something and didn't dare to move in this death filled area.

I cleared my throat and raised my voice for all to hear.

"Uhm, Uhm… I'm Magnus Leo! And you all don't need to worry about these Grand Line pirates anymore! I've already contacted Pudding Pudding, the Marine commodore in the 77th Branch of the Marines, to clear this area and make arrests. Rest easy; all your money will also be returned shortly…!"

After a few moments of silence… Woohoo… everyone broke into a frenzied cheer. Happy tears rolled from their eyes; they'd been liberated from this sudden, shocking occupation.

Beside her, Nami and Nojiko laid with their heads rested on Bellemere's arms. Their eyes were dry after crying too many tears.

Genzo stood at the side and viewed the family with a wide smile.

Bellemere patted the heads of her children and replied, "Hahaha… I thought I'd be a goner too, but I couldn't get myself to say that I wasn't a mother."

"Sigh… Luckily, you're still alive because of that guy. I had my doubts earlier when you mentioned his name, but it's very clear now…"

"Yeah, I didn't think Leo was so strong."

"You were staying with him for 1 month, and you had no clue who Magnus Leo is?! He's very famous you know."

The family of three c.o.c.ked their heads and closed in their ears towards Genzo with curiosity. They were living with this person for the past month, without finding out who he is.

Genzo took a deep breath and handed out this month's edition of the 'World Economy News Paper.'

"You're too out of the loop these days. Leo Magnus is the most trending person here in East-Blue right now… He may be a kid, but all informed pirates of East-Blue fear him. Here's an article on him that aired recently. The only thing that bothers me is… If he was here for Arlong Pirates, how did he know that they would come to Conomi Islands?"

Genzo thought with a slight frown with his face, while the others gathered around the newspaper with sparkling eyes.

At that moment, Leo walked into the room with a grin.

2 weeks before at the Grand Line: Marineford, Paradise… A group of Marines were sitting together in a room and feasting.

Currently, a tall, tanned, broad-c.h.e.s.ted, muscular old man was chewing on a large piece of meat. This was Monkey D. Garp, the Maine vice admiral and hero.

"Munch, Munch, Chew… So, you've applied for a temporary leave for being with your son eh. Maybe I should accompany you to East-Blue to beat some more sense into my grandson!"

Momousagi put on a slight frown and narrowed her eyes at Garp. "Geez, Garp-chan. I don't know how you can leave Luffy with bandits without any worry…! I've made sure that my Leo will be completely cosy and safe back at East-Blue."

"That's how Luffy will become strong though…! Bwahaha"

Alongside the two, a man wearing a dark coloured fedora hat took a drag of his cigarette and browsed through a newspaper. He was Chaton, a reputed vice admiral of the Marine force.

"Leaving all this aside, you should return back soon pretty woman. With multiple incidents like the inclusion of Doflamingo into the Shichibukai this year, the world's showing signs of descending into chaos once again. We need more capable people like you…"

Garp and Momousagi nodded in concentration when… Chaton's eyes blinked; he passed the newspaper he was holding to Garp, who in turn inspect the newspaper with wide eyes.

"What is it…?" Momousagi asked.

"Isn't this your son?"

Garp pointed at the picture on the front page of the small East-Blue section of the newspaper. Momousagi's eyes froze, and she grabbed the paper from Garp in a hurry.

The paper talked about Leo's latest exploits and possible speculations about his 'dark past' that led to the formation of this demon bounty hunter child.

"Pstt…" Both Chaton and Garp looked at each other and broke into a laughter.

"Whahaha… I need to learn from you Momousagi… and here I thought I was being tough on Luffy."

"Yeah, please tell us how you kept him so cosy and comfortable. Perhaps the Marines could benefit from your methods too." Chaton added.

Momousagi knitted her brows in worry and rushed out from the room without replying.

After a night of partying with the villagers, I figured I had nothing more to do at the Conomi Islands anymore. I went back to the shore with my supplies and prepared to set sail.

'Hum… I should maybe pack more of those oranges before I leave this town.'

Thuk… Thuk… In the distance, a figure of a young girl with orange hair appeared.

"Smirk… What is it now, Nami? Have you come to return me my money already?"

"Yes, this will cover it…"

"That would be a total of hundred tho-"

Suddenly, Nami teared up and hugged me. Looking at her actions, I couldn't help but pull her even tighter into my embrace.

"Sob, Sob… Why're you so mean? Don't tell me you're leaving me!"

I replied with silence, and we stayed at each other's embrace peacefully for a long time.

After some time, I wiped the tears in her eyes and said, "I was hesitating earlier, but… I've an offer for you! Come roam and train at the sea of East-Blue with me… and then we can go to the end of the Grand Line once we both grow up!"

Swallow… Nami didn't know what to reply for a second, but then her eyes flashed with determination. "I will go with you and make a map of the entire world! But first I've to ask Bellemere fo-"

"Here I was, angry at Leo for saying farewell without informing. Now he's taking my daughter too! How shameless?!"

"Yes, go! We never liked a troublemaker like you anyway, Nami!"

At that moment, Bellemere, Nojiko, and Genzo arrived at the scene; their eyes were tearing up heavily. Although they didn't want to let Nami go, they supported her dreams.

After promising them that we'll visit frequently, we bid farewell to Nami's family. We packed our supplies and set sail to the town of Ragako. Nami finally experienced the grandness of the sea and instantly fell in love with it.

I was also rewarded heavily for this experience by some omniscient entity.
