Crap, I Was Rifted

"No just wanted to.. no nevermind." Galtea flinched as she immediately decided not to talk to him about it. "Shi'Ara is wanting to talk with you. It is very important. Please to her."

"Of course." Azul stopped what he was doing and cleaned himself up. "We can talk if you like as well. I would like to spend time with you."

"Later my .. later Azul. I am bust. Goodbye." In an instant, she left in a Rift.

"That was.. weird," Azul mumbled. He sent a message to Lluvia, Alita, and Zelda. "Maybe they know what is going on." With a shift, he was in his office. Shi'Ara and her aide already there waiting for him.

"You are an unusual Commander," Shi'Ara said. it was no insult. Just her speaking her mind.

"Thanks. Care to stop giving me those looks. Tell your... Aide to stop as well." Azul looked between the women trying to understand what they were thinking.

"We are just appreciating what you are. So all those Ardat Yakshi are cured?" Azul nodded. "Matriarch Benezia is a captive?" Azul nodded again. "Do you not think it best to turn her over to the Citadel?"

"No. My prisoner, my rules. Only alive because of my team. I can just as easily blow her brains out. And fix it for she is dead like she is suppose to be."

"Why keep her alive then if she is expendable?"

"To help my Asari. That knowledge and wisdom is needed. I would be a fool otherwise to get rid of it. I want her to teach along with the Rachni queen. Shalla and my Vorcha humans have tendencies that are somewhat like it. Her knowledge will be shared with them earning her life and freedom."

"Not much of a prison. They walk around and talk to anyone on the ship. Only one restricted really is Benezia from contacting Liara." Shi'Ara rubbed her wrist out of habit for a moment before sighing. " Haaa glad you are not treating her badly. She is a very influential Matriarch."

"Very influential Asari. Only Matriarch on this ship is Aurora. Do not forget that."

"Oh and what if I want the position?"

"You would have to prove to me you were capable by convincing Aurora you were better for the job. I have utmost faith in her for something like this. I do not see her Stepping down for a few centuries if ever actually." Azul looked to the human woman with her. "If you keep looking at me like that I will have a problem. What is it?"

"Your biotic energy is so.. Erratic and powerful. May I touch you?" Chloe asked.

"Ok.... Go for it." Azul watched as the woman grabbed his c.h.e.s.t and touched his palm. She traced her fingers delicately and started to hum. "Alright... Whatever." Feeling no harm from it and his actual Dragon enjoyed the touch, he left it alone. "So your the Spectre we have onboard where do you want to go?"

"It is only on paper Commander. I have no real orders. But I want to go on missions with you. Both here and other Worlds." Shi'Ara said neutrally. Her eyes not leaving Chloe. 'She is unaffected by his biotics. Maybe he really can help her.'

"I see. Then I need to get you trained up again. There is a place I want to go to. Since my involvement with Cerebus will be sparse at best, I wish to snatch some things before they get to it."

"What would that be?"

"An A.I. That is running wild on a base soon developed by the Alliance. We are going to take it for ourselves."

"And do what with it?"

"Make it a living creature like Bass."

Bass: I am sorry what?

"The A.I. Is powerful but untamed and dangerous. We will get her before she causes to much trouble. She will be Eve to your Adam."

Bass: I do not need and Eve.

"Ok then. Glad to know. She will be used for another project I have then. Consider yourself removed from that project and it's future developments."

Bass: Are you serious?

"Yup." Azul nodded and watched as the Netnavi disappeared back into his node. " So Shi'ara and miss.... Chloe right?"

The Aide stopped humming and nodded. "Yes, Commander?"

"Can you fight actually?"

"Yes. I am a trained Martial artist. However from what I have seen of the few people on this ship I can maybe beat your regular personnel. I just don't have the body to keep up."

"She has a few medical problems. Nothing serious but has limited her options for life." Shi'ara said. But she is a great friend and I cannot imagine my life without her."

"Thank you, Mistress." Chloe looked back and smiled. "I enjoy your company as well."

"Ok love birds. I can fix most medical problems myself or use the System to help. If you become a follower some of those become available to you." Chloe nodded showing she agreed. Sha'Ira already having done so beforehand. "Great let's see what's wrong."

System: Chloe Spritz has become a follower. 1,342,211 to cure ailments are needed.

"Woah that is a lot!? What happened to you?!" Azul looked on dumbfounded.

"As a child, I was exposed to element zero. My father an Alliance Officer couldn't get the cure for me. So besides having no biotics since it would actually kill me if I tried, I have about 5 years left to live and bouts of blackouts."

"Just freaking wow. Hell. I can not fix that safely. Curing you will cost to much. However, I can change you to something else. Do you have a problem with becoming a new Race? It would be permanent. You wouldn't be able to be human anymore." As he said that he looked through the Nether World option on what she could be reincarnated into. Some of the mana options were ridiculous. A few were OK but he rather not change her physiology to much.

"I can't be human anymore.." She looked to Shi'ara and paused. "Can I become an Asari?"

"I have no problem with it. But The biotics might be an issue still." Azul looked on seeing no information showed up. "It should not be a problem though. The body you will gain will be new."

"It will take care of the biotics problem but the cost is high. I can afford thanks to it being mana and all. But she would definitely have to work to pay me back."

"I will work to pay you back no matter what!" Chloe said.

"Wait, Commander, choose a race that suits her best. I may want her to be an Asari but I rather she live long without any pain." Shi'Ara said resolutely. She got up and grabbed Chloe by the hand. "Your health is more important."

"Umm right mistress." Chloe agreed a little embarrassed.

Azul saw the biotic's from Shi'Ara. She hurriedly let go of her hold. "Woah it's that bad. Even with the gloves." Selecting the race quickly he knew what to make her. Light engulfed Chole as the mana remade her body. The wings appeared first, followed by a black robe. Her brown her turned blond like the race typical colors were.

"Bwoom" a surge of magic left her. No biotics or element Zero remained. It also transformed to the magic that she sent to Azul to repay him. It made a dent but only that.

"Whoosh," a surge of new mana enter her. One of Azul Aeons left him.

"Oh, you have found a partner. That is great. I wish you the best." He watched as a Silhouette of Yajimbo appeared before vanishing. "Guard her well Yojimbo."

"Ahhh, I feel so light. And so free. The air doesn't hurt anymore." She touched Shi'ara and held her. "I can hold you without feeling any pain."

"Thank You so much, Azul!" They both said as they looked at him. Tightening there hold on each other, they thought it was a dream.

"Right. We will talk later." Azul smiled as he touched his Omni-tool. He sent a notice out about her change to Chari who was the head of security. " The info about your race is in your head. Do not worry about the wings. My herons have the ability to retract those. Go to your quarters.. And do whatever till later."

"Right." They both ran out of the room.

"That was nice what you did." The Trickster said appearing. "How are you by the way?"

"Hmm, it felt nice. Not capable of doing it all the time so that felt great. I am doing OK. How about yourself?" Azul watched the Trickster nod and move about the room. "Care to sit for once?"

"Thank you. Glad you realize I wanted to sit." The Trickster smiled as he took the seat across from Azul. "I just want to rest a little and spend time with my son in law. Is that a problem?" Azul shook no. "Oh, so you do not dispute it?"

"Not at all. It sucks that I can't spend time with Lluvia, but she has work. And her Avatar Maldova is usually busy as well. Getting to hear her voice is just something I have to get use to I guess." Azul said depressed before he shook it away. "Have an eternity to get to know her. Just afraid it might never happen." Touching at his screen, he looked at a message from Jane and started responding back. He missed the expression on the Tricksters face.

"That is.. Regrettable. However.." The moment he started talking Azul looked up at him as he typed. "The higher levels you go, the more time you can spend with her. Unlike Galtea who has a little more freedom due to her level. More levels you have the more power Lluvia acquires and more she is allowed to do things to grow."

The Trickster leaned back in the chair and crossed his legs letting Azul digest what was said. There was to be said but he didnt tell him. Only just enough to keep him calm about it.

"If you have any regrets now would be the time to..."

"No just thinking. I will exercise restraint. Hell knows I need it." Azul responded. "Just might be getting greedy. Bad habits of only focus on one person. Life of a former monogamist still showing its head."

"Good. A few Avatar and admins are rooting for you. But that also means a few are against you as well."

"Should I be worried?" Azul asked in wonder. He felt his connection with Slannesh strengthen as he knew he could use it to kill Administrators.

"Not really. I will let you know if trouble comes up. As your father in law, I am allowed a little leeway. But only hints and tricks. Or downright just give you Quests to help."

"Hmm very well. She is worth it. Hope it doesn't change." Azul smiled at the Trickster and went back to work. The two sat in relative silence. Speaking only every now and then. Three hours later the Trickster left smiling.

"Beep, beep," The door comms went off.

"Come in," Azul responded. He finished his work and stood up.

"Chish," the door opened revealing Chari and, Rayna.

"Commander we need to talk," Chari said.

"It is most urgent." Rayna added.

"Alright, you have my attention." Azul walked around to the front of his desk and leaned against it. "Go ahead."

"We want to go to a World with you," Chari stated. "But just us and no one else."

Seeing his raised eyebrow Rayna added why. "We would rather do a peaceful approach. I know it will be a test of your will in some instances but we want to try."

"Alright where?" Azul asked in wonder.

"Disgaea 2." They said together. Rayna then spoke. "I wish to try something and Alita said it is possible there. We need you to come with, just in case. Not a soul piece but you yourself."

"It will only be a day here in Mass Effect and 2 years there. Will you do it?" Chari asked.

"Sure. That doesn't mess up anything I have currently lined out. Let's go." Azul tapped at his screen to put the busy away marker up. They then left through a Rift.

-A day later Mass Effect-

"Bwoom," a Rift opened at the restaurant area in his Nether World. Out walked Azul. Chari, and Rayna.

"Ahhh, your back," Hotshot said. "She and her sisters were eating. Azul and Co sat at a table next to them." Was it fun where you went?"

"Yes. Can I have a breakfast platter." He said to the waitress that came out. She took his order an left.

"He barely did anything. Haaa" Rayna said. "We were to precise in telling him to stay peaceful. If know one bothered him, he just spent time talking and playing with Adell's siblings."

"Bwoom," a few other appeared when they found out they had returned. Just Tifa and Leandra. Leandra for work reasons. Tifa to find the details.

"Did you achieve your goal?" Tifa asked.

"Yes we did." Chari then released her magic power. All the Nether World demons looked over to her excited. "I became an Overlord after half a year. It was tough."

"I took a little longer." Rayna added before releasing her power. "But it payed off in the long run." Her Overlord Power was at double Charis. But she had less control.

"Wow, I really would like to spar with you." Tifa looked over hopeful. "When you are ready anyway."

"Give me a few days then we will see. I need to learn control first." Rayna then signaled for a waiter to take her order.

"So Azul, picked up anyone while there?" Tifa asked looking over. "Or did you laze about."

"I just lazed about as you put it." Azul smirked between bites. "I learned some new magic for my Aeons as well allowed them to venture out and have some fun."

"Eh so no hanky panky?"

"Nope. Lots of studying and worked on myself. As well as hang out with these two when they were around."

"So you really like backed up?" Ruby asked walking over.

"Hmm, I suppose so." Azul smirked before taking another bite.

"I call dibs!" Ruby yelled to her sisters.

"Oh you brat!" Sapphire added. " Just the first bit or we are fighting."

"Sure." She smiled to her sister. "Is that fine with you Patriarch?" Azul nodded. "Yes!" She fist pumped before sitting back down.

"Hahaha, here Ruby." Azul sent a soul over to her. "A present to fit your personality."

"Mmmmhh tasty. So old as well." Ruby leaned in the chair. "Such a long life quite beautiful. Thank you Patriarch." She leaned in her chair taking in the memories and the person habits. The rune mark Azul placed over her hear stopping anything that would try to change her. Thus increasing the strength of the seal.

"Happy to help." Azul felt the stares of the others. "Each of you will get one later. Have to go through them, first."

"You better." Aurora came over and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Time for training in... Let's say three days girls. I am going go have fun bye." Hotshot then left.

"You need to deal with Raiden in your prison." Emerald reminded. "Or do you wish to just kill him already?"

"No. I will spare his life. Right now he is repenting. I will see what to do with him later in the future." Azul said before looking at her fully. In a quick shift the place, they were shifted to the balcony of the cafe. "Do as you want Ruby."

"Good. I rather not wait anymore." Ruby pulled her suit open and sat on his l.a.p sideways. In a moment a few of her sisters came to the top area and watched. "Where should I start?"
