Today's Lesson: John 14:15-31

*Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

- What is the proof of our love for Jesus?

Answer:

The proof of our love for Jesus is by accepting and following His commandments.

"Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them."

(John 14:21 NLT)

- Give the other names for the Holy Spirit as mentioned by Jesus.

Answer: Advocate

- Jesus said "My peace I give you":

*What do you think is the difference between the peace that Jesus gives with the peace of the world?

The peace that was given by Jesus to us is everlasting as it was said in John 14:27 NLT

"I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid."

*What is so special about this peace?

Answer:

The peace that was mentioned applies to all of us especially those who do not know or haven't accepted Jesus in their life.

Peace of the world was temporary as there will always be consequence (death, famine) in order for people to obtain it.

*What verse made an impact to you today?

Answer:

Jesus loved us so much that even before he ascended to heaven He'll send an Advocate or representative who will be with us. As it was said in John 14:16 NLT

"And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you."
