Today's Lesson: 1 John 3:11-24

* More Teachings on Love and Hatred

- Imagine you are having a conversation with a friend who is curious about your faith. How will you answer if he/she ask you the ff questions:

"How do you know....."

.... that you have passed from death to life?

.... what real love is?

.... that a person has the love of God in him/her?

.... that Jesus lives in you?

****How Do You Know....

1. You ave passed from death to life?

Answers: I don't know. That sounds superstitious and supernatural to me. Only God can do that.

Answer: Real love is unconditional love. Just like a loving parent to his children. Or loving God to his believers.

3. How do you know that a person has the love of God in him/her?

Answers: If a person is merciful or forgiving or if the person loves his neighbor, that's what we know that God is in him.

4. How do you know that you belong to the truth?

Answers: Of course. I belong to the truth. I believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ. He is the Son of God.

5. How do you know that Jesus lives in you?

Answer: Of course, I believe that Jesus is in me if I abide my faith in God. Of course whether I have problems, I should continue to pray and ask for guidance of the Holy Spirit.

6. What do you learn today?

Answers: The verse made impact for me to day is verse 19, "This is how we will know we belong to the truth and will convince our conscience in His presence, 20 even if our conscience condemns us, that God is greater than our conscience, and He knows all things."
