-What Matthew knew but was unable to explain was that when Será arrived humans found themselves capable of growing hundreds to thousands of times stronger then they could ever before, their life span increased to unimaginable numbers and In addition to being able to grow much stronger, every person awakened an ability unique to themselves. What is referred to as "Aura" by them is a measurement of their power, but one big factor to point out is that Aura is closely connected to their life force! Aura can only grow bigger as the person himself becomes stronger, the only way it lessens is if the said person falls ill and his life is coming to an end because of the illness. One can strengthen their Aura in two ways, either by training their physical body and learning various kinds of martial arts or by simply growing or Awakening their ability. The Magicians high prefers to teach their students in the way of Martial arts as martial artists have a better chance in combat than those who simply train their ability and have no real training in combat. That said there are a lot of high (A) and even (S) rank Magicians who are powerful and versed in combat despite not training in the ways of martial arts.

"Séra wasn't that easily accepted in society, at the beginning there were a lot of people who couldn't accept this new reality and committed suicide, the world was in total chaos for a while. It was so bad that the human population is now a little less than six billion."

"Because of "The New government", a group of people who each gathered from every country in the world with one singular goal in mind. To put the end to that chaos and get humanity back on the right path, and I'm glad to say they did a splendid job. It wasn't easy but they put an end to the fear inside of the people's hearts and assured them that everything would be alright. Just like in those movies and books we love to watch and read, our world was now similar to theirs, filled with magic and wonders."

"The younger generation were the first ones that accepted these changes and started looking on the bright side of things, and not long after the older generation followed. Not long after that, the Magicians association was founded and it only gave people more and more hope and assured their safety."

"And just like from those movies, what could have been an apocalyptic situation was prevented due to the people who took the initiative and did everything they could to prevent it."

"After everything settled down, in order to learn how to live with these new abilities and changes the world leader all came together and formed "The New government" which is made out of one hundred ninety-seven people who are all presidents of the countries in the world."

"Because they helped them, both Furui and Leonard were given the opportunity to join the New government, but refused and settled with the positions the currently hold.

"Rin, you are an Archeological magician in training so asking those questions is logical. The head scientist of the Magicians Association arheological branch, Doctor Lenard Stain, the one who figured out what Sera is will tell you that himself when you are second years."

"...Fine, be like that."-He pouted in disappointment.

I thought if I knew what Sera is I could get a little closer on finding the artifact that could revive the dead, but I guess not. The New goverment, now I have another group I need to be under the rader of, but since I'm a magician I guess thats going to be a little hard.

-The questioning continued for the next two hours and the student found out everything that interested them about this school and the life of a magician. Now finally came the lunch break and Rin just entered the classroom again from outside the hall.

"Where were you?"-Asked Finn.

"I went to class C, was looking for Haruto but he wasn't there. It's strange I've seen him walking this morning and when I asked his classmates they just kept quiet."

"Maybe they don't like him, he does look a little scary."

"Possibly, but he's actually a nice guy... little crazy but nice. Either way, why did you run out of the classroom like that"

-What he was talking about were Finn's actions after the finishing bell rang, with the speed that could be said to be the same as lightning he ran out of the classroom, like it was a matter of life and death, like there was no tomorrow.

"The breakfast is still putting on a worthy fight..."

"Ah, that's bad."

-Eating his lunch that he made himself in the morning, Rin watched Finn struggle with his stomach and laughed silently. After the lunch break, the rest of the classes were easy, Matthew talked about which teacher was for what subject and gave them the schedule for this week. At one-thirty in the afternoon the bell for the end of the day rang, meaning they were free to go back to their dorms or where ever they wanted on the island. They were free for the rest of the day.

-Not having anything special to do they left the school and made their way back towards the dorms. it was a nice, beautiful sunny summer day and the sun shined brightly. While walking they talked so the times would past, but the actual reason was that Rin had something to ask Finn.

"Say you didn't tell me what kind of a Magician you are."

"I didn't, did I, sorry must have forgotten. I'm a part of the defensive squad."

"Protecting the week, you really haven't changed. I still remember the time when we made fun of the older kids and then you had to protect me when I was to slow to run away from them."

"You mean when you made fun of the older kids and then I had to step in and protect you from getting your a.s.s beat by them."

"You, me, both of us, its all the same hahahaha."

"Don't avoid the truth! Then you also must remember the times when we spared together and you lost to me every single time."

"Me loosing? You must have dreamed it."

"you little..."

"hahahah, just messing with you I remember but I bet I could beat your a.s.s right now!"

"Oh, is that a challenge?"

"..."

"..."

"BOOM!!!"

-Stoping in their tacks, the two of them clashed fists right in the middle of the part on their way home. Each one giving it his all they pushed as hard as their muscles allowed them before jumping back and taking their personal fighting stances.

-Pulling out Kanashimi, Rin took a basic stance and pointed its shard edge towards Finn. He was serious and didn't plan on holding back was what his body told Finn.

"What's your rank?"-He asked.

-Finn pulled up one of his legs and both of his arms in a basic Muay Thai position. By the looks of it, he was definitely not a novice at martial arts. By taking a single glance Rin could tell he was a bit weaker if not on the same level as him.

"C, the same as you."

"Good, then I won't need to hold back!"

-Rin rushed at Finn with his blade prepared to unleash his "Wyvern dash" but then as he was about to use it, Finn appeared in front of him and with his long and sharp nails he stopped Kanashimi and blocked his attack.

"What?"

"What's with that appearance of yours?"

-His previously brown hair turned to a silverish white color, his pupils turning into a straight line with the blue color surrounding the rest of his eyes. The fingers on his hands became longer, his previously normal nails grew a few inches and became as sharp as the sharpest of blades. His build was now even better than Rin's, he wasn't taller but wider and bigger. His appearance resembled that of a monster from legends. Even though his body wasn't covered in hair he resembled a werewolf very closely.

"You don't like it?"

-Rin stood right back up, impressed by his show of power and that counter he spit the blood he had in his mouth on the floor and had an exciting look on his face.

"Oh, you look hella Cool!"

-After that punch, Rin realized that Finn's power isn't something he can take lightly, he was now sure that he was the same strength as him, which meant he needed to get serious. He gripped kanashimi and used his second stance, putting the blade sideways with his arm and disappeared from Finn's point of view!

"Wha..."

"Long sword style second stance: Wyvern claw!"

-Because of the length of his blade, it was hard for Rin to fight in close corners, the second stance he developt with Alexander's help allows him to do just that. By pulling Kanashimi the other way and leaning it to the side of his arm, he cut its length in half, which allowed him to fight in close corners.

-The Wyvern claw, about to strike his head, Finn speed proved its value as he pulled up his leg just in the nick of time and uses the Kao tone(straight knee) in time to perfectly block Rin's attack.

That was a close one, but I'm not waisting this opening!
