Cyberpunk: Legendary Life

Chapter 71 Mrs. Wells

Haywood Valley area.

Wild Wolf Bar, across the street.

Tang Yu was waiting to cross the road, holding a small flower basket in his hand.

The flower basket is decorated with 16 bionic carnations and has a humidifying spray at the bottom to emit a light fragrance, specially prepared for Mrs. Wells.

Since Tang Yu met Jack, he has received a lot of care from Mrs. Wells.

Especially the ceremony that had been held made him feel a little more respectful and apologetic toward Mrs. Wells.

Jack looked sharp in his suit when he went out.

When he came back, he became a cold corpse, no longer smiling or smiling like yesterday.

I can't imagine how sad Mrs. Wells was, but she still insisted on calling to care about herself.

He always kept this touch and care in his heart.

The main reason why Tang Yu came to the Wild Wolf Bar was that Jack just called and said he needed help with something.

The two made an appointment to meet at the Wild Wolf Bar.

This location was naturally chosen by Tang Yu. Jack initially wanted to meet at Lizi, but he couldn't resist and had no choice but to accept.

Tang Yu saw the sign on the Yelang Bar storefront, with the capital letters "El-COYOTE COJO" shining in golden color.

The left and right walls were painted with a bright red background and covered with various Spanish calligraphy and paintings.

There were some garbage piled up on both sides of the store door, and a large skull and bull's head hung on the door frame.

Tang Yu saw that there were no vehicles on both sides of the street, so he started walking towards the bar.

The black mechanical gate opened automatically, and Spanish rock music entered the ears.

The layout of the lobby on the first floor of the bar is roughly presented, with dark red ceiling lights and fluorescent green light strips on the bar.

The bartender Pepi is still the same, with a big beard and a thick gold chain, and he is playing with the drinking utensils.

Tang Yu stood up and came to the bar and asked.

"Pepe, where's Mrs. Wells?"

Pepi was facing away from the wine utensils. When he heard someone asking, he turned around and saw a young man in a suit, his expression turned strange.

"Mrs. Wells?"

"She was discussing business with some old friends on the second floor."

Tang Yu thanked him and walked through the bowling area to the second floor.

Pepi looked at the young man leaving and muttered quietly.

"What Pepe? My name is Pepi, okay?"

The Wild Wolf Bar is positioned as a place where the public can drink, so even on the second floor there are no specially decorated private rooms, only public booths.

This has something to do with regional customs. The man who grew up in Heywood is upright and speaks his mind.

Even if it is entrusted to do things, it is not taboo to do too much.

As soon as he went upstairs, Tang Yu glanced at Mrs. Wells, who was chatting with others.

Not wanting to disturb Mrs. Wells' business discussion, he first found a booth to sit down and waited for Jack to come over.

Soon, the beautiful bar waiter came forward and asked Tang Yu what he wanted to order.

Tang Yu ordered a drink and tipped the waiter casually.

Looking towards the lobby from the second floor, the familiar scene of the bar reminded him of many things.

I remember that V liked to come here to drink and find some work, and together they helped Peipei catch his wife having an affair.

A rude man who looks fierce but is actually extremely timid and sensitive on the inside.

Sit for a while.

Mrs. Wells, who was talking, seemed to notice Tang Yu sitting alone, so she got up, left the booth, and walked towards Tang Yu.

"Tang, why didn't you say hello to me when you arrived?"

"Jack said you have been back to Night City for a while."

Tang Yu was looking at the hall in a trance. When he turned around and saw Mrs. Wells, he stood up and explained.

"I just saw you discussing something with your friend, so I didn't bother you."

With that said, he handed the flower basket on the table to Mrs. Wells.

Mrs. Wells took the flower basket and seemed very surprised and satisfied.

"Thank you. It's a beautiful flower basket. I've never seen Jack put so much thought into raising it."

"If he was as sensible as you, I wouldn't have to worry so much."

Tang Yu suddenly had an idea and explained seriously: "A big boy will become a man when he gets married, and he will naturally become sensible."

He originally wanted to tell her about Jack and Misty, but considering that Mrs. Wells didn't seem to like Misty very much, he held off for the time being.

Mrs. Wells shook her head helplessly and said with a smile: "I hope he finds a sweetheart. I can't control him now."

"You are waiting for Jack, I'm going to call him. I don't know where this brat has gone."

"By the way, you can order whatever food and drinks you like in the store. You're welcome. I'll pay for it. You can come anytime."

"Treat this as your own home, got it? Kid."

Tang Yu politely declined and said that he had made an appointment with Jack, but he came a little early.

The two chatted for a while.

Mrs. Wells learned that he was doing well, and then slowly returned to the booth.

As soon as Mrs. Wells left, Jack jumped up and sat opposite Tang Yu.

"Brother, let's talk somewhere else. There are some things that are not convenient in front of my mother."

Tang Yu felt a little strange when he saw Jack dodging, and asked.

"What are you talking about in hiding?"

Jack tried to keep his voice as low as possible: "About the Valentino Gang."

After saying that, he turned back and glanced at Mrs. Wells quietly. Seeing that his mother was discussing business and not taking him into consideration, he relaxed a little and turned around to continue explaining.

"A friend from the Valentino Gang asked me to help him find someone. I thought about it for a while, and I'm afraid only you can resolve this matter."

"You know, Mom doesn't like my involvement in gangs, especially the Valentino Gang."

"I've been quitting for several years, but there are some things I can't quit."

Tang Yu knew that Jack was referring to friendship.

When Jack was young, he joined the Valentino Gang and formed deep friendships with many people in the gang.

Later, due to a bad fight with weapons, Jack almost had half of his head knocked off.

He was seriously injured, but was lucky to save his life.

Finally, under the strong mediation of Mrs. Wells, Jack quit the Valentino Gang.

There was reluctance and helplessness, but Jack still won the respect of the Valentino gang with his heroism and backbone.

After hearing Jack's explanation and the matter of finding someone, it was really inconvenient for Mrs. Wells to know that it involved the Valentino Gang.

The two stood up and left the booth. After saying a brief goodbye to Mrs. Wells, they walked out of the Wolf Bar.

Leaving the bar, Jack took a long breath as if he had escaped from a prison.

Tang Yu glanced at him: "As for it, this is your place."

Jack shrugged helplessly: "Stop making fun of me, let's talk about serious things first, okay?"

So, Tang Yu patiently listened to Jack talk about his friend's commission.

"What you mean is that a member of Valentino is missing. He is young. They have been looking for him for several days, but they have not been able to find him."

Jack nodded: "That's it. Think about it, Valentino has tried his best, but obviously the missing person is not in Heywood, and the night before the disappearance, he said he went to Watson District."

As he spoke, he took out a microchip from his pocket and handed it over. Inside was the specific information of the missing person.

Watson area?

Tang Yu thought for a while.

It's not difficult to do, but it definitely involves gangs, and it's the Heywood and Watson areas.

"Okay, I've done this."

After agreeing to Jack, Tang Yu had to find someone first, a middleman who was just starting out.
