Dark King: Revenge Is Painful

Chapter 26 - Disparity Between Generations

Hei Wang knew, it was practically impossible for the lower generation lifeforms to conquer the higher generations. This was proved by the outcome of the Invasion.

For example, humans could never truly conquer the spirits. Even with Spirit Weapons that could let the humans fight against the spirits, humans could never truly win against the spirits.

This was because humans were limited by their Spirit Capacity.

The Spirit Capacity of a human was what decided how much percentage of the spirit weapon the human could achieve or activate.

Hei Wang had 20 Spirit Capacity at level 1, meaning that he would be only able to bring out 2% of the spirit weapon he was equipped with.

But Hei Wang had Transcended bloodline, and it was obvious that his Spirit Capacity was out of it's norm even at level 1.

Normal humans had their Spirit Capacity multiplied by five times their level. This meant that a level 10 human had only 50 Spirit Capacity which would allow him to bring out only 5% of a Spirit Weapon.

But the strongest human on planet Rumina excluding the monstrous Hei Nu Wang was only Level 7 which meant that he could at most wield 3.5% of the spirit weapon which is practically useless against a level 5 spirit that equalled him in strength.

(a spirit's strength is equal to 2 levels higher human)

But Hei Wang also knew that planet Rumina was just a lower leveled world that occupied by humans. He knew that there are other planets, stronger planets that humans occupied.

In fact, the Dream Pavilion in the Roman kingdom belonged to a human sect from a different planet which was a Intermediate leveled world known as Giran.

In fact, it was humans from planet Giran who had found the entrance to the Spirit World on their planet. The Night Moon sect which owned the Dream Pavilion were the first to discover the entrance.

When the humans from the Night Moon sect entered the spirit world and learnt of the benefits of the non attribute elixir crystals, they shunned any leakage of information about the entrance, and tried to amass as much as Crystals as they could discreetly.

If it was only Non Attribute Elixir Crystals, then the Night Moon sect would have no problem controlling the spirit world's trade, but they soon found out that they could enslave the spirits of the Spirit World rather easily.

Filled with greed at the thought of having an invincible spirit army to conquer the other human sects, the upper echelons of the Night Moon sect decided that they should fully concentrate on the spirit world for the time being.

But, they soon found out that they lacked the manpower to gobble the goldmine called as spirit world as the number of spirits a single human could contract was limited and thus they were forced to seek other options.

Getting help from other sects of Planet GIran was stricken away, so their eyes fell on the lower level worlds such as planet Rumina. Even though the average level of the humans in lower leveled world was very low, the ability to enslave spirits did not depend on the human's levels, which motivated the Night Moon sect to become even more active in their work.

They first annexed the lower leveled worlds that they had contact with their subordinate sects like the Dream pavilion and enslaved whole planets. Then they opened portals to the planet Giran from where the enslaved humans were discreetly sent to the spirit world to enslave the spirits.

Most of the spirits in Spirit World were level 1 grade 1 spirits which were very easy to enslave. Even then, a thousand of these spirits could easily destroy lower leveled worlds like planet Rumina.

But, while most spirits in spirit world could be enslaved, the higher grades spirits, such the owner of the north island, who was like a king, did not allow his spirits to be enslaved by others. Thus, if a human wanted to enslave a spirit which was already under another spirit, they must first destroy the higher grade spirit.

And this, a full scale war had been waged by the Night Moon sect on the higher graded spirits exactly five month after now, and this war was called as Invasion by the residents of the spirit world.

Among those who took part in the Invasion, there was no lack of humans who were above level 20, but in the end, the humans were still forced away by the higher grades spirits. This also proved the fact that lower generation life-forms could never truly win against the higher ones.

The Night Moon-sect not only suffered a huge loss in manpower because of the failure of the Invasion, but their large scale actions drew attention from other sects and the entrance to the spirit world was soon discovered by other humans.

Still, the Night Moon sect, with the help of their newly enslaved spirits, annexed the other human sects and made them pay an exorbitant price to let the others enter the spirit world.

As far as Hei Wang remembered, the Night Moon sect went ahead and attacked the higher leveled world that planet Giran was under and had successfully managed to conquer it, thus becoming one of the peak powers of human civilisation.

It also became the only human sect to rule a higher leveled world.

Hei Wang also knew that most of the Higher Leveled worlds were ruled by fifth generation lifeforms like Old Tang, and the Night Moon sect had been the only anomaly.

Having seen the true power gained by enslaving slaves, how could Hei Wang let the spirits escape from him?
