“Should I bring her?”

“If you want to.”

“Yes, then I will bring her.”

After sending Alfred out, Michael began to work on backlogs.

Soon after, Alfred, the chamberlain, visited Baron Yufrey himself.

Baron Yufrey was a noble family that was barely surviving.

So he couldn’t help but be surprised by Alfred’s visit.

Baron Yufrey brought out his family and met Alfred.

“What brings you to such a shabby place?”

“I came here because I had to meet someone.”

“Who is that?”

Alfred smiled subtly and said, as Baron Yufrey looked at him with anticipation.

“I heard that Lady Siena is here. Can I meet her?”

“Siena?”

Baron Yufrey was slightly embarrassed when an unexpected name came out.

Then the blonde woman standing behind him quietly stepped out.

“I am Siena.”

Alfred’s eyes were on her.

She was a very lovely woman with brilliant blonde hair and emerald eyes.

“Are you Lady Siena?”

“Yes, I’m Siena. But, what brings you to see me?”

Alfred smiled mildly.

“His Majesty wants to meet the young lady.”

Baron Yufrey made a fuss at the words.

“Do you mean His Majesty wants to see our Siena?”

“Yes, so let’s go together.”

When Alfred spoke politely, Siena looked at him with a puzzled face.

“N, now?”

“I’ll give you time to prepare, so hurry up.”

Baron Yufrey stepped up.

“Wait a moment, please. I’ll get her ready quickly. Honey, hurry up.”

When Baron Yufrey ordered, the Baroness hurried to lead Siena.

Siena glanced at the Baron and his wife. Both pushed her on her back, telling her to go.

Siena was forced to get into the carriage escorted by Alfred.

“Do well, Siena.”

“Yes, aunt.”

“I’ll send the young lady back before sunset, so don’t worry.”

“Of course. Please take care of our Siena.”

Alfred started the carriage with an unknown smile.

As the carriage moved away from the mansion, Siena asked.

“Why did His Majesty ask you to see me?”

“Ask His Majesty about that. I just follow orders.”

Siena bit her lips tightly.

She didn’t look very happy.

“By any chance, are you uncomfortable?”

“It’s not like that, but never mind.”

Alfred looked at Siena’s sullen face and wondered.

Meeting the Emperor in person is what all noble ladies of the empire wished for.

But she didn’t look happy at all.

Alfred shook his head.

After driving for two hours, the carriage finally arrived at the Imperial Palace.

Siena looked at the magnificent palace and uttered an exclamation.

It looked great from a distance, but seeing it in person was another touching experience.

She could see why everyone admired the palace.

“We’ve arrived.”

Alfred got off first and reached out to Siena.

“Thank you.”

“His Majesty is in the drawing room.”

“Yes.”

Siena, guided by Alfred, headed to the drawing room at the Emperor’s Palace.

It was very burdensome as all the maids she encountered bowed their heads whenever she moved.

Alfred stood at the door and knocked.

“Your Majesty, Lady Siena has arrived.”

“Come in.”

When permission was granted, Alfred opened the door.

“Go in.”

“Yes.”

Siena entered the drawing room with Alfred.

Then there she saw a black-haired man sitting on the sofa in an arrogant posture.

He was Michael, notorious for being the Emperor and tyrant of this country.

Rumor had it that he was a very beautiful man.

But when she saw him in person, he was so handsome that it was hard to put into words.

She could see why noble women gathered and admired him while talking about the Emperor.

Siena politely gave an example.

“I am the eldest daughter of Baron Adrian.”

“I see.”

There was a moment of silence. It was Siena who opened her lips first.

“Sir, may I ask why you wanted to see me?”

Michael smiled and replied with a nonchalant face.

“Someone recommended you to be Queen.”

Siena’s eyes widened at the words.

“Q,Queen?”

“Yes, the Queen.”

“Who recommended me as the Queen?”

It was not long after coming to the capital, and she even experienced being taken away by a slave trader.

So for a while she didn’t even show her face in social circles, so who recommended her?

“They told me to keep it a secret from you. So I can’t tell you.”

“I see.”

“What do you think? Do you want to be Queen?”

Michael looked at her expression.

But her expression was subtle.

She didn’t look very happy at all?

And she gave a completely unexpected answer.

“Sorry, Your Majesty, I don’t think I can be Queen.”

“Why?”

He thought she’d be happy and beaming, but she said no.

Siena looked at Michael seriously.

“I have someone who promised me a future. So I can’t be Queen.”

Michael could tell from the look on her face.

“I think I know even if you don’t answer.”

“But it’s too bad. Your first impression wasn’t bad.”

“Thank you for liking it.”

Michael rose from his seat.

“I accept your refusal. And you can explore the palace as much as you want.”

“Can I really do that?”

“Of course, if you leave now, you won’t have a chance to see the palace for the rest of your life.”

Well, that’s true.

“…Thank you. Your Majesty.”

“Then I’ll go now.”

When Michael turned his back, Siena bowed politely.

When Michael went out, Alfred approached Siena.

“Why did you refuse, that’s too bad.”

“I want to dream of the future with my loved one rather than an honorable position.”

There was love in her eyes.

Alfred thought she was a very nice woman.

“Well, let’s go. I’ll give you a special guide.”

After touring the Imperial Palace with Alfred, Siena returned to her mansion.

Her steps on the way back were very light.
