Dragonic Overlord

By the time Bai Feng recovered his energy, the clones he had summoned had already finished collecting all the crystal core's from the bodies of the crystal beast's. In front of him piled up was 164 brightly glowing crystal core's, some glowing more brightly than others. At the sight of this Bai Feng's mouth watered and imagined how much his strength would increase with this many crystal cores'.

He stood up and shook of the leaves that had gathered on him, he then ordered the 5 clones before him to spread out in different directions and scout for enemies coming his direction.

Bai Feng started recalling his battle with the hellhound and other crystal beast's.

"Although I managed to easily defeat them, by the time I had killed them all, I only had a small amount of energy left within my body, if another cultivator with the same rank as me came along, I would have had a hard time dealing with them" concluded Bai Feng

He thought about what he should to prevent this and seemed to come to a conclusion, he took out his PD ring and took 3 objects out of them. Those three objects were some of the skill books he found in the treasury of the orphanage. Bai Feng decided that in order to preserve his energy during battle he had to learn other skills that were less consuming and effective in battle

Bai Feng remembered that martial skills were ranked from Rank 1 to Rank 9 and after that there were Earthen martial skills and Heavenly martial skills. Bai Feng was surprised when he found out that out of the three skill books in front of him, two of them were Rank 7 skills and the other one was a Rank 6 skill. This made Bai Feng wonder about the orphan heads identity and why he had so many good items in his treasury however it only lasted for a moment before Bai Feng discarded the mystery. He sat back down onto the damp grass and one at a time absorbed each of the skills.

The skills he had learnt were:

[Storm Lightning steps] which made his movements instantaneous like a lightning storm and destructive like a lightning strike, it could be used both as a movement skill and an attack skill and the best thing was that its energy consumption was quite low. It was a rank seven skill and had 5 stages to it as well. Additionally, as soon as Bai Feng absorbed the skill book he had completely mastered stage 1 which made up 20% of the book.

The next skill was called [Decimating shroud] and it covered any object or his body part in a black shroud like aura. And it had a destructive power to it. It had 6 stages to it. With each stage mastered the dark shroud could be manipulated to create a wave of darkness or to create a shadow hand. Bai Feng had mastered the first stage when he absorbed it.

The last skill he absorbed was a skill called [Lightning guard] it was a rank 7 skill. When used a layer of yellow lightning would cover Bai Feng's body, disintegrating every incoming attack.

After he absorbed these skills Bai Feng stood up and called out Sun Wukong

"What direction is the mirror in "asked Bai Feng

The Monkey King didn't answer and merely pointed in the east direction. Bai immediately activated the [Storm Lightning Steps] skill and blasted off in the direction. All you could see was a blurry figure that had its feet surrounded by lightning.

Along the way Bai Feng had no encounters with crystal beast's, this was because the clones he sent had either eliminated them or diverted them from his area. One of the clones had even encountered a Martial lord crystal beast and if Bai Feng had met it he would have immediately died with his current strength, he wasn't even sure if he would have been able to escape.

As he began to get closer to the Mirror of nature he began to sense a thick amount of energy that seemed to increase as he got closer. Bai Feng couldn't control his excitement and neither could Wukong, anxious to see whether his brothers survived. He urged Bai Feng to increase his speed

Suddenly Sun Wukong picked up something and shouted at Bai Feng to stop. He immediately stopped but the immediate stop, flung him forward, he thought he was going to smash into a tree but instead was shocked, when he smashed into an invisible wall.

"What the f.u.c.k is this!" shouted Bai Feng, he stood up and prepared to punch the invisible wall, when Sun Wukong told him to hold back his hand

"If you attack rather than dispersing it, you would be the one that would be injured with a high chance of dying." Said Sun Wukong

"What you see before you is a wall made up of an incredible concentration and amount of mana, this was a natural defense created by the mirror of nature, it's also a kind of test to see if one is suitable to possess it, to break through it you have to have the will and aura to break through it... so what are you going to do now" teased Sun Wukong

Fighting intent appeared within Bai Feng's eyes as he stepped towards the unmovable cl.u.s.ter of mana. His body began to feel hot as his bloodline started circulating to resist the oppressive force of the mana. Underneath his clothing one of the dragon heads on the circle started to turn purple slowly, bit by bit.

He inhaled and suddenly roared at the obstruction.

"A MERE SHEET OF MANA DARES TO TRY STOP ME!!"

Bai Feng confidently took a step into the thick zone of mana, as soon as his foot touched the ground. The seven dragons on his mark lit up like a rainbow, the seven streams of energy within his bloodline started flowing up his body and his body even started to glow and radiate with the colours of the rainbow. Suddenly, the Seven dragon's energy streams, fired up into the sky like lightning going in the wrong direction, towards the sky. They hovered in the sky before returning back into Bai Feng's body, however one of the streams still hung in the sky, flying through the clouds, it was the purple dragon.

Sun Wukong suddenly widened his eyes in disbelief and murmured 'ho…how is this possible you have to a heavenly defying talent to be able to get accepted so quickly by a Celestial dragon!!'

Suddenly the purple energy dragon, sharply turned its head towards Bai Feng's direction who was still trying to move through the thick veil and didn't notice the phenomenon that was occurring above him. As if spotting its prey, the purple dragon pulled back its head then roared. It lunged towards Bai Feng's direction with lighting speed.

As it moved towards the ground, the clouds darkened and thunder boomed, a bolt of purple lightning struck came dashing down and acted like a shield as it covered the entire dragon. It was at this moment that Bai Feng sensed danger

He looked up and was shocked to see a thick bolt of lightning that resembled a dragon strike him. Just a split second before contact, his red eyes shook and space seemed to rip as a red hole the size of a ring appeared in the path of the bolt of lightning. It absorbed the devastating power of the purple lightning dragon, but while this was happening, his bloodline mark began to change.

The lit up red dragon head began moving towards the purple dragon head which was lit as well. The red dragon opened its mouth and devoured the purple dragon with ease. As soon as it did this, it enlarged a bit and took the place of the purple dragon, and on the top of its head a purple streak could be seen. It was at this moment that the red hole finished absorbing the purple dragon, even though it looked like it was over, a miraculous change was occurring within his eye

Before his eyes were light red, but now it seemed to become darker, however the most striking change was the thin purple circle that surrounded the black pupils of his eyes, within the red iris.

As soon as the purple circle appeared. Bai Feng realized something and widened his eyes in shock and almost forgot to breath.

He opened his mouth in an attempt to talk but shut it again. He looked in front of him and realised that the mana wall had dispersed from his sight due to the energy released from the encounter of the red ring and the purple lightning dragon, before Bai Feng could try comprehend what happened with his bloodline. He was met with a legendary sight.

Roughly 3 metres away from him, a sea of flowers, herbs, seeds and all sorts of mesmerizing objects glimmered. An incredibly dense aroma of nature and energy filled up Bai Feng's nose and senses.

He took a deep breath before shakily saying

"I am going to be richie, rich, rich"

Sun Wukong appeared in his spirit form and seemed to giggle at this site he turned to Bai Feng and said "What a lucky bastard you are, if a pill refiner or weapon smith was here they would die of joy, the amount of resources here would last a pill refiner for an incredibly long time, and all the oddities are top level materials, even though I don't know a lot about pills, I know enough to conclude that from the aroma, nearly all the oddities here are at least Tier 5 and above".

This sight stunned Bai Feng and the idea of becoming a pill refiner sprung into his head, with all these oddities he could quickly rise up when it comes to pill refining. This place was like heaven for pill refiners

"But how the hell did all these natural oddities form" asked Bai Feng, with his eyes still glued to the scene before him "Even though the concentration of mana in Demonshine forest is good, it still shouldn't be able to form this large amount of high tiered oddities"

"This was caused by the mirror since it is after all an item of nature, the most powerful thing about the mirror, is it's nourishing effect on objects and people, so if you think this is amazing, wait till you see inside the mirror" replied Sun Wukong

Bai Feng was amazed by the mirror's effect but was confused when he heard Sun Wukong said the inside of the mirror.

He greedily entered the herd of oddities and quickly but carefully plucked each them making sure he didn't damage their roots. When Bai Feng was close to the centre of the herd, Sun Wukong appeared and shouted

"There's the mirror!!" with a tinge of excitement in his voice

Bai Feng looked to where the monkey was pointing at, and saw a weird scene, a silver mirror was floating right above the herd of oddities, just revolving at a single point. Bai Feng was surprised that such a simple looking mirror could create all these oddities, before he collected the mirror, he quickened his speed of collecting the herbs, while the monkey king grumpily and painfully waited for Bai Feng to collect the herbs.

By the time Bai Feng finished storing all the herbs within is PD ring, there was no more space within, every nook and cranny of the ring was filled with oddities and the treasures he gained from the orphanage lost all their glimmer in front of the herbs.

Bai Feng walked towards the mirror and reached out to grab it, but as soon as he touched the mirror, it suddenly started giving out a greenish gold glow, and in shock Bai Feng dropped it and stepped back.

The mirror still kept on glowing and by the time it finished a 1 metre high glow surrounded the mirror like a curtain.
