Electrify

It took 15 minutes till Clint calmed down and the meeting was back on track. Thor tried to explain again but all he accomplished was to further confuse everyone. Fury then put an end to the discussion and pulled up latest activities in the criminal world.  

"You have Klau on your watch list?" Tony asked in surprise.

"Yes. There was a sudden increase in the local internet patterns and he could be the target for this Ultron." Fury explained.

"OH, no. This is bad and I mean legit bad" Tony sighed and pulled up an image of a rather peculiar Atom. 

"What? That doesn't look like something on a periodic table." Peter exclaimed as he examined the image.

"It is Vibranium. One of the most versatile material on the planet and a key ingredient for making Adamantium or one of it variants." Tony explained and Fury's frown deepened.

"So, you are telling me that there is a rogue robot that is about to build an indestructible body." He glared at Tony. 

"Well, not completely because the stuff is super hard to work with and he can't possibly be trying to build an actual Adamantium alloy since it will take months to prepare." Tony. 

"He could still make a really hard alloy in days." Peter said as he churned out a few viable alloys. 

"And that is better how?" Fury yelled.

"We can destroy any body he comes up with." Tony said and called someone. "Klau, what's up? Yeah, I got a rogue bot that is heading for you. Yeah, yeah I will give to 25 bucks later. Now, go into hiding as soon as possible because he will be listening to this call. Hurry now." Tony hung up as we all looked at him. " What?" 

"You have a criminal on your contacts? Of course you do." Clint said and slumped into his chair. 

"At least, he won't be able to get to Vibranium." Natasha said. 

"Not so sure about that. Klau will keep some on him to barter or cut a deal with Ultron but a complete body will be out of question now." Tony said as he began to trace Klau's location. 

"He will still be somewhere in South Africa ." Tony said as he pulled up Klau's location during his call. 

"So, we will be heading there yes?" Thor asked. 

"We head out in 30. Gear up." Fury said and gestured me to follow him.

We headed to a different room and he took a seat. He looked at me intently and pulled up the footage of me tanking Thor's punch.

"You down played whatever this new ability of yours is." He held up his hand before I could speak. " Kid, strength and power are both things that corrupt and that has gotten to you as well. Finn had thought you to dodge anything coming your way but you took that his just to prove a point. This doesn't seem like much but I do not like what it represents." He said and pulled up a video on me blocking a muon beam to shield a few civilians during the Expo. "I reviewed this battle many times and you performed excellently.  Today, you tanked a hit to prove a useless point." 

"Sorry, sir. I will be better." I said as I lowered my gaze.

He was right. I did do it to prove a point but I forgot a key lesson that was beaten into me. Finn would be ashamed if he knew what I did today. 

"You behave like someone older but you need to remember that you are a kid. Slipping up now will effectively render your training useless. Keep in mind, it all begins to fall apart when you do something wrong and then justify it with nonsense. Dismissed." Fury said 

I walked out of that door with a wide eyes and shame that was burning my face. I headed to an isolated area and began to meditate and upon reviewing the last encounter, i was a hundred percent certain that this new form had changed me psychologically. I spend a good 2 or 3 hour unearthing new bits of memory and re evaluating my subconscious and there was a problem. There was a definite section that was new and it emanated power like a beacon. It was this feeling of unnatural strength that was causing me to act like a 'god' and I was worse for it. I set up up a runic barriers to block the energy and a few more to store thar energy should it be needed. A few more just to inform me of any changes that took place because this was a remote section of my subconscious and was not immediately accessible outside of deep meditation. 

I woke up and looked at my tablet only to see that the Avengers went avenging without me. I went outside and began to fly there at my top speed but i was late. Natasha and Clint were knocked out, while the more immediate problem was the explosion that happened in the city. I headed to the city and found a hulk like armor fighting the hulk and loosing quite badly. It got behind Hulk and placed my hand on his temple. Disconnecting, Hulk's consciousness was a complicated task and despite my speed I was only able to accomplish it due to Tony tazing hulk to distract him. 

"Whoa, Tony that is a huge armor. Is this the friday protocall you mentioned." Hulk asked standing upright. 

"Banner, is that you in there?" Tony asked back. 

"Of course it is. I do feel a bit weird though." He said and looked down. "Holy shit. How is this possible." He said as he patted down his body. 

"That would be me. It tried to disconnect your consciousness from your body but is seems that there are two of them. The hulk and you, and because hulk is locked, you are in this form." I said from behind Green Banner. 

"Can you do this permanently?"He said in a low voice. 

"I wont because this is only possible because i am holding your head and i am not doing this forever." I said and zapped him unconscious as well. 

The huge body fell and began to shrink in to Banner's form. Tony, called in a bunch of small drone and began to clear the debris and help people while i flew away with an unconscious Banner. The Avengers regrouped in the Shield base and were going over their experiences.

"Wait so there was a speedster who knocked both Natasha and Clint at the beginning and then the red head made everyone else hallucinate. She did the same to Banner but Hulk got out of control which led to 25 million dollars of damage. Just to be extra clear, we lost the Vibranium, don't know where they are heading next, got our a.s.s handed and pissed off an entire country." Fury said listing everything that happened.

"The UN team is also on us and are demanding an explanation at the next Assembly." Hill said before Fury glared her into silence. 

"At least no one died." Clint offered. 

"I am actually surprised that the speedy didn't kill anyone." Tony added as well.

"Yeah, I know. I may have threatened him into a non killing path of crime." I said and Fury narrowed his eyes on me. "I sent you the report, if you didn't read then that is your fault."

"Where is Point break?" Tony asked and Fiore answered. 

"He is searching for a ritual site in Norway because he thinks that his vision was a prophetic one." She said. 

"So, now you gods know the future as well." Clint huffed at Fiore. 

"No they don't. It is like a fever dream or an acid trip that sometimes shows a possible future or something like what you will eat in 25 years. Completely unreliable." I answered. 

"And it happens during moments of great pain or mind magic or even at random times. People have seen their complete lives playout or simply saw that their clothes would get dirtied by bird droppings. As Max said, it is completely unreliable." Fiore added. 

"How much Vibranium did he actually take?" Banner asked.

"About 6 cannisters or about 150 kgs." Tony replied. 

"Cant we track him via satellites?" Natasha asked.

"We cant as he would know the location and avoid the search area. He did copy thing from me so he know at least that much." Tony said and pulled up schematics for Ultron's body. "Look here, he already made huge improvements to strengthen the body but his defense is a bit on the weird side of things. May be he will add a layer of Vibranium armor to it but i can't be sure." 

"So, there is basically no good news." Fury said and took a seat. 

"She couldn't get tony." Fiore said with a smirk.

"That is not good news." Fury glared at Tony who shrugged it off. 

"She did get me back at Sokovia, i just didn't say anything you guys." Tony said and just as Steve was about to yell at him. "I was exposed to a gas before the vision so I assumed that it was an hallucinogenic gas." He said with a sigh. He pulled out a projector from his suit and placed it on the table. 

The video played and there was an immediate gasp from everyone. Steve's shield was broken and so was Mjolnir. There were then the bodies of everyone excluding me and the Asgardians. It all ended with a flash of lightning and a six colored glow. It was pretty much the same as the movie but now, i was included in it as well. Everyone looked at expecting an answer.

"Hmm, I understand why you would assume this as a lie, and after seeing this I would agree." Fury said and looked at me. "There is no reason for us to suspect anything from him or assume anything from that. For all we know, this could be an elaborate magic or X-men bullshit." 

I felt Fiore's mind brush against mine attempting to reassure me and I nodded back at her. 

"Also, just so you guys know, i have made several contingencies in case i ever go crazy and they all range from simple Coma to Complete erasure." I said earning narrow looks from everyone else. "What, i can kill all of you and most likely anyone in case i go crazy, so counter measures are in place."

"I may not be fully sane but even I am assuming that is not healthy." Bruce said looking concerned. 

"It isn't. That is messed up." Tony said but didn't comment any further. 

"Take a rest, but keep looking for Ultron. Tell Reed to keep those reports up." Fury said and left the room with Hill while everyone else stayed back.

"These counter measures, how exposed are they?" Tony asked.

"Should we meet someone who is capable enough to bypass my security, then we are already f.u.c.k.e.d." I said and left as well with Fiore beside me.

We went to the residential side of the building and layed on the bed holding hands. I gave her hand a gentle squeeze and shighed.

"Fiore i can feel your worry. You need to relax." I said pulling her closer. 

"I will but tell ne why you felt different this morning." She asked. 

"There was another bit of conscious brewing in my head. I took care of it." I said and felt her tense further. "If youbare wondering if this is not me, then i would have to go into the most intimate details of our skinship." I said and straddled her. 

"I was worried when you felt different this morning, but also it may have to do with the vision she showed me." Fiore sha and pulled me closer to her. 

Jer eyes seemed distant and in pain as she examined my face. She placed a hand on my temple and closed her eyes. I was alarmed when a tear rolled out of her eye just as she pulled me into her vision. The vision was horrible and one of the futures that should never come to pass. The post apocalyptic place filled with bone and destruction was New York and the only thing that confirmed this was the Torch of Lady Liberty casually laying around. The form of Fiore appeared beside me and she looked distraught as she pointed towards a ruin. Inside the ruin, we found a teenage girl that was a daughter of Fiore and me, judjiing by how she played with electricity. I took Fiore's hand in an attempt to reassure her and myself. We saw our daughter cry herself to on the floor before the vision ended.

"Fiore, I will make sure. . . . ." I wanted to say more but Fiore pulled me into a hug.

I didn't even notice that there were tears rolling down my eyes. I held her tight as the tears fell from my eyes. 

"Maxwell, what we saw might just be a mind trick or something that may never come to pass." Fiore said as i pulled away.

"We need strength to make sure of that because no daughter of ours would be left alone and cold." I said with a small smile.

"Hmm." Fiore just blushed a bit before a look of determination dawn on her face. 

"Ultron just stole Dr. Helen Cho's research and kidnapped her." Hill barged into the room and left just as quickly. 

I left before everyone else and in about half an hour i was at Cho's lab. Her body was tossed to the side like a rag doll butbin her dying moments she had scribbled a code on the floor. The code was a access code to one of the main frame computer which silently tracked the Cradle. The Cradle was the top item in stem cell research and it couls potentially be used to clone or create a human body. I felt a blur stop behind me.

"Tell me Pietro, what part did you play in that?" I asked as electricity crackled around me. 

"Nothing, I even tried to save her but even I am not faster than an energy weapon." He said. "Even Wanda tried to heal her afterwards but she was dead at that point." 

"About this Wanda, i need to speak with her about a vision she showed my girlfriend." I said and he nodded.

"It will be of no use. She doesn't control those but those things she shows is either an alternate timeline universe or some random fears exposed." He explained. 

"And you know this because?" I asked 

"She is my sister." He said and left in a hurry. 

I closed my eyes and felt any sort of energy signatures to show for my knowledge but there were none. Tony qas damn good at creating tech and now so was Ultron. I sighed and stopped scan as i felt the Quin jet enter the vicinity. They went still as they saw the mangled corpses of the doctor. 

"I had a conversation with Peitro and he seemed like this was not the part of the plan. More than likely, we are going to have another 2 avengers after this situation resolves." I said and Steve glared at me.

"Why would you even consider anyone who was complicit to this?" He yelled and i raised my hand. 

"Peitro has a code and the other is doing this to get back at Tony for kill her mother." I said and head turned to Tony. 

"What? I never . . . . God dammit. Even dead Obadiah is causing me trouble." He said. "My company may have supplied weapons to those who actually killed her mother." 

"She does realise that it isn't your fault right?" Natasha asked but I shook my head. 

"It may be the scepter's influence." I said and Fiore nodded. 

"I might be or she may be misinformed." She said as she began to fix the doctor then light wrapped it with a beautiful vine covered in flowers. 

We left empty handed and much to the disappointment of Fury, we had also lost the contact to another Shield base. It was near Sokovia and this was an opportunity to divert the Avenger's attention to the city. A thermal satscan showed major activity in one of the steel mills and temperatures that would kill normal humans. A stealth drone confirmed Ultron's presence there. We headed to the city just in time for it to begin to levitate off the ground. 

"Thank god, bad guys have a tendency to be idiots." I said earning many looks from everyone. "What? If he had the power to lift the city surely he could have gone to space and brought down a meteor or something. Surely, there has to be a much effective way to end earth."

"Thank god for that then." Steve said as we landed. 

Unlike the movie, Ultron did one thing massively different. He didn't engage with us and chose to sent up blockades after blockades to hinder our movements. He designed numerous drones to target the local population to keep us distracted. In fact he systematically targeted the civilians close to our location for the maximum effect. There were reports of another speedster and a red magic mutants helping civilians one the other side of the city as well.

"Electro, you need to engage the main controls at the centre of the city. I help them here." He said and began to help. 

"Here use this, it has about 2 hours charge." I said and threw Tony's sword at Peitro who caught it and began to cut down the bots. 

I speed up and rushed towards the central area. Immediately, Ultron raised an energy shield trying to block me out but with a simple slash from my blade, i was at the centre. I bagan to go through the equipment here and surprisingly, Ultron had integrated Vibranium into the Huge arc reactor powering the damn place which had increased its efficiency and power out by a considerable degree. There were energy shields all over the place holding the floating city together and the whole city was pretty stable.

"Electro, speedster extraordinaire and a mutant to boot." He stood in a hallway with a kid on his hand. 

I sped up and cut this bot to thousands of pieces before he could even comprehend what had happened. 

"Wow, that was faster than I could have imagined." He said from a nearby speaker. "Now, you have a choice to make." He said and became silent. 

I was immediately alarmed and looked at the baby. It was fine but having him here would limit my movements. I opened a portal to Queens base and placed the baby there. I then began to sift through programs and it was very sophisticated and dumb at the same time. The sophisticated part was about how to keep all the systems running while the dumb part was the timer at which the city would be dropped. I looked at the shield generator and changed it to cover the entire city in a sphere like fashion preventing any air leaks and effectively making it space proof. The shield would also act like the ozone and take the brunt of the sun's radiation and use that as power as well. 

"Ultron, tell me your purpose. Surely, this was not the best you could have come up with." I said and a face materialized on the screen. 

"Of course not, my aim is to preserve this world for when my masters return. My secondary objective is to save this world." He said. 

"Who is your master?" I asked. 

"The Devron the Exprimenter, the one who is tasked over this world. I am his servant from when he wielded the gem." He said.

I sighed and turned into my celestial armor form. 

"ARE YOU A SERVANT OF EXITAR. The has been no test for this world, you shouldn't be here." He yelled. 

"I know, and i am not anyone's servant. I am however the youngest Celestial but I was once a human. The very race you are threatening to eliminate." I said ina robotic voice. 

"Of course, this world will fail the test and be destroyed. I am trying to restart the world and make sure it passes." He said. "The humans will resurface eventually, the seed will make sure of it."

Oh, that was quite surprising, but it would be pointless as I will represent this world. I sighed and retracted the armor. 

"I have a plan to avoid that entirely. After all this world gave birth to me. Why did you cause so much chaos?" I asked. 

"The stone was in the possession of the titan and he corrupted it. Along with me. I am nearly cleaned because most of the corruption was transferred in a new body. We need to take care of that guy as well." He said.

"So, you made an actual evil robot." I said and he grinned at me.

Ffs, I need a break.
