Enigma: Being Chased By A Sly Ghost Husband

Chapter 26 - Part-time job [1]

"Hiring part-timers?" Ryujin read.

After cleaning up her apartment, Shin Ryujin decided to take a walk outside in order to find job, and seeing the sign before her, a wide smile formed upon her face.

It appeared that the convenience store required a part-timer to act as a cashier, and Ryujin had more or less experience in that field.

Clapping both of her hands together, Ryujin wore a bright smile upon her face and mumbled, "You can do it, Shin Ryujin! Although it is a part-time job, as long as it feeds me. You can't always depend on Aera even if she is not against it."

With those thoughts inside her mind, Ryujin extended her hand towards the door, and pulling the knob on top of it, she opened the door.

She failed to notice the smiling spirit behind her, who cooked up plans for her.

"Thank you for hiring me again!" she vocalised, bowing at the manager standing before her. A wide smile translated her current feelings.

The manager vocalised, "This is nothing. New products had arrived for the third shelf, so go and arrange that."

Nodding her head enthusiastically, she spoke out, "Right on it!"

Staring down at her uniform, she felt slight excitement, and with positive thoughts flowing inside her mind, she walked towards the mentioned shelf.

Below it, she noticed the box filled with snacks, and staring at the shelf, she understood that she had to arrange the snacks in order. This seemed to an easy thing!

After she was done with organizing the shelf, a wide smile formed on her face. The first task assigned to her went smoothly without any hurdles.

However, as she turned her back on the shelf and was about to walk away, the shelf came down at her direction, and fortunately enough, Ryujin was able to notice that quickly.

Instantly, she extended her hand towards the shelf, and supporting it with one of her hand, she prevented the shelf from falling down. A breath of relief left her mouth.

That's when something caught Ryujin's eyes. Although the movement was quite fast for her eyes, she was certain that she had seen a figure run away. Nevertheless, the lack of sound from the footsteps made it weird.

Unfortunately for her, few of the snacks of the shelf had fallen on top of her, and before the rest was able to fall down, she straighten the shelf. As the snacks came in contact with the ground, noises were produced.

"Is everything alright, Ryujin?" the manager questioned.

Staring down at the snacks fallen down, nervousness formed within Ryujin as she answered, "Yes! I am fine. I just tripped slightly."

Knowing that the manager will be returning any time soon, Ryujin knew that she had to fix the shelf soon, and bending down, she picked up couple of the snacks which had fallen down.

One by one, she placed the snacks on the shelf, and once she was done with that, Ryujin bent down to pick up more of the snacks.

But as she did that, the snacks that she had carefully arranged fell down, and as one of the packet came in contact with her head, creases formed in between Ryujin's eyebrows.

Almost immediately she turned her head back.
