A slight pain went through her neck due to sleeping at the couch in an uncomfortable position, and raising her head slightly, Ryujin tried to fix her position on the couch.

As she lifted her head slightly, her blurry line of sight caught a glimpse of a dark figure, and since the lighting was dim, she was not able to view it properly.

Opening her eyes wider, Ryujin mumbled, "Is Aera back this early?"

Everything then happened in a matter of seconds.

Shin Ryujin's eyes widened when she realized that the figure belonged to a man, and seeing the plate on the floor, Ryujin yelled before she was able to process the situation.

"Stop!" Ryujin yelled.

Hearing her voice startled the figure, and the man turned his head to face Ryujin. Before the man was able to escape, Ryujin was quick on her feet and ran towards him.

As she moved closer to him, she could distinctly discern his features, and strangely enough, she could find him being familiar.

Without concentrating her thoughts on where she could have seen him before, she was about to grab on to his wrist before he was able to escape.

Her eyes widened when she realized that her hand had passed through his hand, and a gasp escaped from her mouth at that. The similar thing had happened last time around as well.

Taking this to be an opportunity, Ahn Jaein tried to run away from the girl, but before he was able to do that, something caused him to halt.

"Is that you, Ahn Jaein!?" Ryujin questioned— her voice being quite loud.

One word Ryujin could use to name the situation before her was strange, and it was not as if her adaptation rate was high.

Although she was unable to understand the situation, she knew that she would not be getting any answers if she let the man before her escape. Therefore, pushing back all of the thoughts at the back of her mind, she concentrated on capturing the man before her.

The man turned back to face her and stared at Ryujin with widened eyes.

This confirmed Ryujin's doubt on how he was Ahn Jaein— the CEO who got into an accident. But the entire situation did not sum up to her.

If he was at the hospital— injured— why was he at here? Even if that was not the case, it did not make sense for him to be at here? Then again, it could be that he was someone Aera's aunt knew, and that's why, he was at here.

But she did not understand why he was attempting to run away from her or why she was not able to grip on to his wrist?

"It is you, Ahn Jaein!" she exclaimed.

"Is that what my name is?" the man questioned.

Creases appeared between both of her eyebrows at his words, and her eyes clearly reflected the confusion she felt in that instant.

Ryujin then asked, "What do you mean?"
