Two weeks later,

Harvard had long reached level 30, and was now facing his 200th Field Boss.

Unfortunately, even though many people had started on their Class 2 Quests, not a single person had completed one. He was still a hot commodity, and had made so much Lograms it didn't seem possible for him to be any richer.

The Noble he worked for was really nice. He gave him 5,000,000 Lograms every time he slayed a field boss, and let him sleep with his daughter.

She was good in bed, but not nearly worth all the hard work he had to do!

"Down you go! Ultimate Poison Blade!" Harvard killed The Menace Lord in under 5 minutes. It's black blood sprayed at all the nearby guilds watching in awe. Unfortunately, when people got their second class, Harvard would no longer be the most powerful.

Second Classes changed everything, and everyone would become a powerful monster. That meant that Harvard would no longer be a monster and just a normal guy. Even when he got a second class, it would have to compliment the Midnight Ruler Class. That was like finding a needle in a donkey's straw bed at night after a long day of him rolling in dirt.

Needless to say, it wasn't easy.

[A special item has dropped 1 / 1,000,000,000]

[Menace Lord's Silver Card] (heirloom)

[Calls an NPC that was designed by King Yama to steal from innocents. This NPC is so dangerous, and also perfectly compliments the Midnight Ruler Class! The Midnight Ruler even used this as his second class!]

"What's taking so long? Give us the class 2 item."

"It's not here. 1 out of every 50 bosses doesn't drop a class 2 item." Harvard lied, and smiled before seriously walking away. "The rest of the items are yours. I have a Quest to complete now. My two weeks helping other guilds are up.

"Wait, what the hell?" The muscular leader of the group he was in approached Harvard and pulled out a blade. "You think you can scam us? It says 9 items remaining! All Field Bosses drop 10 items!"

[You have activated ultimate stealth]

[You have fled!]

Harvard had been under contract for 2 weeks, so he didn't get a time to rest. Luckily, he finally had some time to look at his Quest Window in the Rave Hotel.

He spent 100,000 Lograms a night for a master's room, so they provided NPC guards to keep the haters out from ruining his sleep. Harvard had gotten very tired, and he finally finished his two week contract with Sir Awning. At least he could take that Quest of his Quest window list.

[Quest Complete: Be Loyal to Sir Awning]

[You filled up his coffer with young guild money and made him the 10th richest noble in Central City. If you ever need his support, because you earned him over 5 billion Lograms, he promises to help you in anyway he can! He hopes you join the family some day!]

[Reward: 100,000,000 Lograms (+500,000,000 Lograms bonus), one marriage contract for one of his daughters (free choice out of all 10), and 1 VIP ticket for the Central City Train Station]

[The VIP ticket is an extremely valuable treasure. There are only 10 available per year! It grants access to the VIP section of the train!]

'It's just a train ticket. You make it sound like marrying his daughter's isn't as good of a reward.' Harvard sighed and opened his Quest Window. He sat down on the impeccable man's bed before the Quest Window he dreaded reared its ugly head.

[Quest Window] [ 6 / 7 ]

[Return Kyle to His mother]

[Deliver Smokey to Central City]

[Save your child!] (If it's really yours, is another question) (In Central City)

[Silvia's hot sister has been kidnapped!] (Go to Central City)

[Rename Sniff's Nose] (First complete Deliver Smokey to Central City)

[New Quest: Her Scent!] (Save May Tape from Loonie in Central City!)

'Ugh, why did I do this to myself! It hurts! Make the pain go away! Someone make the pain go away!'

Knock! Knock!

"It's me! It's Lilac!" The door opened and she found her way to the bed and sat down on the white sheets. She had her hair in a bun, and her black curls sort of lookeed like beautiful rolled up flowers. She had on tight stockings and a white dress as well, which made her seem especially fun to look at. "I-I just came to tell you I have to leave tonight. Smokey keeps making me kiss you, And tonight I'm not sure what he's going to do. I-I expected it to just be one or two nights of kissing you, but you've been so busy for the last two weeks. I'm starting to like you a lot."

"I-I'll go return Smokey first, Lilac. I won't be so busy anymore." He kissed her on the forehead. He imagined her mayor father in the room stabbing him in the heart and killing him slowly, so he somewhat trembled in fear when he backed away. "Then-then I have to save May, and Silvia's sister, and help Kyle's mother, and Rename your city!"

"I know." She rolled her eyes. "However, what about naming what me and you have? Do you like me, or are you just kissing me to pacify Smokey? Look, my heart beats faster around you ever night! I-I don't want my husband to be anyone else but you!"

"Harvard? Where did he go?" Lilac slammed the bed. "Damn it! I probably made him realize how many things he had to do and he got nervous! Why did I open up my pink lips!"

###

Harvard left because he realized he had too many things to do. He also really liked Lilac, but he didn't imagine them getting together. After all, her mayor father would kill him a million times over. He was just kissing her to save the world.

"Smokey, do you like Lilac?" Harvard walked towards the coordinates he had for the Quest with Smokey. Luckily, his system provided just enough extra information that he didn't have to ask hundreds of NPCs where to find the Legendary Curse master. "She's not a bad girl, right?"

"You and mother are perfect! I wish my real parents were like that!" Smokey smiled up at Harvard. He had large human like teeth in his smokey mouth with a pink tongue, but Harvard had gotten used to his weird features. "My mother and father always fought, and you two do exactly what I want! You make me feel like I'm not going to explode and kill everyone!"

"Glad to hear that," Harvard looked up at the Legendary Curse Master's Shop. "Well, you know, you're not a bad guy Smokey. I like you."

"Thanks dad! Please don't let anyone kill me," Smokey had a good feeling about his father, and smiled widely. "I'm so glad you're finally taking me to buy candy! Haha! This will be great."

###

"This is a place where we can remove curses," A lady in a white dress sat in front of a crystal ball. She had on too much mascara and had a white ball of hair above her head that somehow stood up like a strange, badly potted plant. She also overcharged, 100.000 Lograms for a 15 minute meeting! Harvard wanted to complain, but then Smokey might get upset.

"So, what? Can you get rid of Smokey's curse?"

"Yes, I can," The lady smiled. "However, it's really dangerous. I'm going to need a lot of Lograms to buy the proper items for the ceremony. It will run about 10 million Lograms. I don't suppose you're willing to pay a little more."

Harvard felt like he had met his match. When he was a lawyer, he thought he overcharged, but this lady took it to a whole other level. Most Ghost Adventurers on average had earned roughly 100,000 Lograms from Quests and Monster drops, and most of those people had to give money to their guilds. Those guilds gave Harvard all their money to defeat Field Bosses, which explained why he was so rich, but this was highway robbery! No skyway robbery!

"I accept, but you have to promise me Smokey won't suffer."

"He won't. In fact, he'll probably get a second chance at life once the ceremony is complete. You can trust me on that."
