Exp And Other Drugs

After creating the carriage Intalru fashioned three harnesses to attach to the Auroch. Taking inspiration from the 'Forget me stick' he used some seeds he harvested from the first patch of 'Skunk herbs' he found. Willing the plant to grow into the reins and tethers of the harnesses after completing his project he inspected his handiwork "Appraise."

Name: Happy Trails (harness)

Description: A harness created using cannabis indica plants. Any creature bound by these will find them to be comfortable and calming.

Use: Attaching equipment to beats of burden.

Effect(s): Channeling Mana into the plant allows coachmen to 'Will' the flowers to bloom creating feed for the beasts that they are attached to.

"Hmm I'm going to have fun crafting more items from plants.." Intalru's mind wandered as he began coming up with future possible uses. After affixing the Auroch to their new harnesses they calmed down immediately. There was still trace amounts of fear in their eyes but the shaking stopped and they seemed to realize they weren't in danger.. at the moment.

Intalru secured the beasts to the tree he used to 'Grow' his wagon, before starting a fire on the other side keeping it from the Aurochs line of sight. "I don't think they're scared of fire.." Amanda said into Intalru's mind. "I don't think they are either, but they would be scared watching me cook a few of their friends.." this was going to be the first meal he had in thousands of years from his perspective, and he refused to eat raw meat! After slicing several small cuts of meat off of the least damaged corpse he could find Intalru pierced them with a wooden skewer and willed it to grow longer so he could cook without getting too toasty. Ding! passive skill 'cooking' has reached level one. Intalru continued cooking the meat until it was a nice medium rare before pulling the skewer away from the heat and allowing his meal to cool, as it rested Intalru cooked another, and another, and another... until he was surrounded by a small 'Forest' of meat sticks poking up from the ground. Intalru began eating the first skewer he made before setting the rest closer to the fire, after moving them within cooking range he used his infused his Mana with the essence of water and willed a few pieces of wood to retain moisture so they would produce large amounts of smoke. "Never made my own jerky before.. hope this works."

"Alright girls it's time to go!" Intalru shouted as he packed the snacks into the back of the wagon. and surprisingly Amanda beat Velma getting to the wagon. The Myconid opted to stay in the shade of the canopy leaving the passenger seat open to Velma. Shrooms in the backseat and pot by my side, feels like I'm a drug dealer again.. if you don't mind that they're sentient beings this time. Intalru smiled as he mused to himself.

Velma noticed Intalru's smile but instead of bothering him she just smiled along with him. Amanda however wasn't smiling.. "I think I'm like Natsu.. Blergh!" The Myconid apparently suffered from motion sickness.. she poked her head out of the back of the wagon occasionally to 'Purge'. "That's disgusting! could you at least try to vomit quietly?" Velma complained to the Myconid before a sudden thought struck her. "Wait.. how can you vomit if you don't have a mouth??" Intalru actually turned around to look as well since it was a valid question. "We have mouths.. how did you think we eat? We just don't have vocal cords.. hence the telepa.. Bleeergh!" Amanda was dry heaving by this point. "If you don't use your mouth to talk why did you stop to vomit?" "If you keep asking me questions I swear the next time I puke you'll need a bath!!" Amanda was highly upset that Intalru didn't defend her from the vicious Daphnaie's mouth and moped as she heaved out of the back of the wagon. "Sorry it took me a while to figure out how to get the right ratios.." Intalru said as he handed Amanda a little round leaf. "What am I supposed to do with this?" Amanda said queasily. "Just chew on it for a little bit and the motion sickness will go away.. But don't swallow!." Velma started fidgeting as if she wanted to say something but thought it would be better not to. Intalru had handed Amanda a fresh coca leaf with half of the natural potency. "Ugh it's bitter.." Amanda said after chewing for a moment causing Velma to begin blushing.. "Agh! What is wrong with you!!!" Amanda roared with out the slightest sign of motion sickness anymore... After the short outburst Amanda noticed she felt a little energetic.

"Is this a magic leaf?" Amanda asked with almost child like naivety.. "No and you only get one for now.. too much can hurt you pretty bad." Intalru decided it would be wise to limit consumption to an 'As needed basis'.. well at least for everyone else... After traveling for a couple hours Intalru decided to let the Auroch rest for a bit. "Why are we stopping the suns are still up?" Velma asked while scanning their surroundings believing Intalru noticed something was amiss. "This is the first time they ever wore harnesses or pulled a wagon the poor things are probably sore as Hell right now. So I figured we could have a little picnic." Amanda c.o.c.ked her mushroom cap to the side. "What's a picnic?" The young Myconid asked curiously.

"It's when you eat outside with friends and family because the weather is nice.. Oh.. that right, you guys don't enjoy Sunny days. We could eat inside the wagon then?" Intalru remembered that Amanda doesn't take to sunlight too well so he offered to have the meal in the wagon. "Please you act like the suns are an actual problem.." Velma said as she got out of the wagon. Before Intalru could say anything to her he noticed the grass around the wagon began growing rapidly and after a moment they were sitting in the shade.. "I thought she was going to be a b!tch again.." Amanda 'whispered' into Intalru's mind. "Yeah.. well you ready to eat?" As Intalru and Amanda were eating the 'Jerky' which was way too smokey but somehow not quite cooked to the texture it should have been... Velma sprawled across the grass and took a nap. "Aren't you hungry?" Intalru asked worried about Velma since he hasn't seen her eat yet. "I'm fine.. we don't have any fruit or vegetables anyways, my body can't digest meat.." Grglgroar... Velma blushed as her stomach growled. "You should have said something!! how would we have known otherwise!" Amanda sounded a little upset as she shouted at Velma..

"I'll be fine I can just wait till we come across a berry bush or something." Velma replied while laying there holding her stomach. "No Velma she's right you should have said something.. I haven't seen you eat since we met, let me see if I can grow you something." Intalru nagged Velma as well before rooting around in the sack he kept seeds and cuttings in. Most of the plants from the toad swamp were highly poisonous but there were a few plants that had edible pieces that he was certain Velma would enjoy. "Hmm got it!" Intalru exclaimed while pulling out an unassuming black seed. He poked a hole in the dirt with a claw before placing the seed and willing it to grow into a tree rapidly. "Luckily the Mogogol found out the seeds contain cyanide.. here Velma eat this but don't swallow the seeds." Intalru reached out with his hand and plucked an apple from the tree. Crunch! "It's sweet!" Velma was suspicious at first, but after taking a bite she fell in love with the texture and flavor. Crunch, crunch... "Can I have another?" Velma asked sheepishly.. "Sure but don't eat too many to quick they can mess up your stomach if you're not careful.." As Intalru was warning her Velma jumped into the tree and started picking apples fervently.. "I guess she likes sweet things?" Amanda said sounding slightly relieved. It's a good thing mushrooms aren't sweet.. the young Myconid thought. Intalru paid no attention to her though as he was mesmerized by just how hungry Velma was.. an apple only stayed in her hand long enough for her to eat it.. which was about three bites.

After Velma had her fill Intalru reached for an apple and split it down the center before taking a few seeds to replace the one he used. Once everyone had their fill Intalru began cleaning up and decided it would be best to make camp now. Amanda was enjoying the fresh air that she never got to breathe in the underdark, and Velma made her way out of the 'forest' she made to feel the sun on her skin. As the girls were enjoying themselves Intalru began 'Growing' three tents so that everyone (mostly himself) could enjoy a peaceful night of sleep.

"What are those?" Amanda asked after he finished with their sleeping quarters. "They're called 'tents' it so we can sleep with out having bugs crawl all over us. After Intalru explained what they were Amanda had a look of confusion on her face. "Why would they do that?" ... Intalru didn't quite know how to answer that since he didn't speak bug. "Because their trying to find a way inside you to keep warm." Velma replied while Intalru was thinking. "Ewww! no! they don't do they?" Amanda turned back to Intalru looking for confirmation. "Umm not all of them.. but some may, so it's better to be safe right?" Intalru tried quelling the disturbed Myconid but suddenly Velma opened her mouth again.. "There's safety in numbers.." Intalru stared at the devious little Daphnaie hard and was going to reply but suddenly Plop! Amanda had ran over and started hugging Intalru.. "Don't abandon me please!" "I wasn't going to abandon.." Plop! "me too I'm scawed!" Velma joined in with a smirk "You wouldn't let Amanda stay with you and leave me to the bugs would you?" she continued then Amanda chimed in "We need as many bodies as we can get! let's just make a big tent!".. (Do you think it will work?) Amanda asked Velma internally. (How should I know! just start crying!) Velma replied... Thunk! Thunk! Intalru 'Lightly' tapped the two on their heads.. (Next time you make a plan like that you should be careful to remember if I'm in the mind link...) "You stupid B!tch!! how could you forget! we had a chance and you blew it!" Velma dropped the act and talked Amanda.. "Like you're any better! even if I didn't forget you were so obvious he would have figured it out!" Amanda started fighting back. While Velma was stronger and faster Amanda had an acute advantage.. her brains. Crrrriiip! Amanda ripped Velma's shirt revealing what was hidden to the world.. Velma screamed and covered herself before running away. "You two are getting along better, to actually work together with her I'm dissa... impressed" Intalru said while looking at the Myconid sternly.. "It was a good idea.. I only went with it because she was going to try sneaking in your tent anyways" Amanda had no shame...

The day turned to night and everyone went inside their own tents, Velma fashioned a tube top from the grass she grew to giant proportions so she was no longer topless. As soon as Intalru climbed into his tent he called out so the girls could hear him. "Goodnight! and I better not get woke up! or there will be consequences.." (Is he connected to us?) Velma asked condemningly across the link. (I don't make the same mistake twice.... but no he's not.) Amanda defended herself before double checking the connection.. (You told him I was going to sneak in right?) (Yeah, why did you want him to think you were going to if you're not?) (Because he's going to stay up all night to defend himself..)

The next morning Amanda and Velma jumped out of their tents and awaited for Intalru to wake up.. only to hear him shout from the carriage. " Thought you guys were going to be asleep till lunch time let's go!" Turning to look at him they noticed the Auroch were already attached to the carriage again and Intalru was in the driver's seat bright eyed and scaly tailed.. "He must have slept in the wagon.." Amanda said to Velma. (... I didn't think he would make a tent as a decoy.) With that thought in mind the girls bounded into the wagon as Intalru spread a path through the grass and away they went..
