75 Cafe

"Well, in that case, tell me, or I'll soon die from waiting." Zayne said with wide eyes.

"Anyway, even though Mia's disease is unique and because of the improper exposure of her immune system, she needs a special approach, there is a way to improve her condition. I didn't tell you this before as there's probably no way you could afford it." Rubia said seriously.

Zayne nodded deeply, he was aware that his financial ability had been critically limited before.

"I can order special injections, they are suitable for similar cases like your sister's. However, it would cost 5,000 credits and the problem is that you would have to pay that much every month for three." Rubia calmly explained, watching Zayne's reaction.

"Now I understand why there was no point in telling me this before... 5,000 credits is six or even seven times what I used to earn a month, however, now I can afford it." Zayne muttered with a complicated expression, twiddling his thumbs.

"Then tell me when you've raised the necessary amount, then I'll order the medicine right away." Rubia waved her hand.

"Sure, by the way, what's your progress on Fallen Fate Online? Are you still playing?" Zayne asked with a slight smile.

"Of course! To be honest, I spend most of my time there, that's not very good, right?" Rubia gave him a puzzled look.

Zayne shrugged, "It's not my place to judge you somehow. I recently spent in Fallen Fate, three days in a row, and I didn't even realize it."

"Oh... Well, it looks like it was worth it. Zayne, have you made it to any city yet?" Rubia asked with a curious look.

"Hmm? Yeah, why?" Zayne glanced at her.

"A few players recently started running their own blogs and talking about how to progress faster in Fallen Fate, these videos are gaining quite a few views." Rubia began to explain as she pulled out her phone and opened the site with the red logo.

She waved her finger, and over a hundred different videos appeared in front of Zayne talking about starting locations, the best quests, and more complex topics like the economy, combat styles, and so on.

"Wait... What is this?" Zayne looked at one clip where a girl was talking about the unusual fruit in Landow Village.

"Hmm? Oh, I watched this video, this girl says that by picking and selling these fruits to the local merchant you can get some good money to start with. However, you have to choose Landow Village as your starting point." Rubia shrugged.

Zayne was completely stunned for a moment. He hadn't expected that his actions could literally change the starting point of the new players, though that wasn't his goal at all.

"I see... These videos might actually be useful for newcomers..." Zayne muttered, eliciting a smile from Rubia.

"Hahaha, looks like someone's getting pretty arrogant, doesn't it?" Rubia grinned as she narrowed her eyes.

"What...?" Zayne frowned, slowly realizing what he had said.

"Zayne, you may still be the most talked about player, but you're new too, right?" Rubia smiled.

Zayne scratched the back of his head, "Yeah... you're probably right, I don't know what came over me. By the way, did any of these players, talk about Chaos Hearths?"

"Hmm... Chaos Hearths...? No, they say only a few players were there and even fewer were able to successfully clear them. By the way, Zayne, there was an announcement then that you defeated the Terror Grade Monster, I haven't heard of anything like that until now. Tell me how it happened!" Rubia leaned toward him with her eyes wide open.

Zayne sighed and looked out the window. The rays from the sun going off into the sunset fell on his face, giving him an idea.

"Rubia, I have a few hours, so how about the idea of going out to eat something? Maybe some sushi? I'll tell you all about it on the way." Zayne said with a slight smile.

Hearing Zayne's words, Rubia was speechless, her cheeks turned to blush, and her gaze grew more embarrassed.

She turned away and with a slight nod said, "Sure, give me five minutes."

Zayne was slightly puzzled but didn't say anything.

Rubia quickly got ready, and before she left, Zayne walked over to Mia and kissed her gently on the forehead, then with a sad look headed toward Rubia.

Zayne very rarely went to cafes, so Rubia was the one who picked the spot. It was one of her favorite sushi cafes.

Once inside they looked around and realized that the only available table was at the end of the room, so they headed forward at a slow pace.

Crackle.

At the same moment, a muscular man stepped out of the table and headed toward the exit, walking straight toward Zayne and Rubia. His eyes immediately locked on Rubia, who was wearing a tight black dress with a deep neckline.

'Damn... What a hottie!' The man inwardly smirked, 'Too bad she's already taken, though... at least I can show her how weak this little guy is!'

Even though the man could have easily stepped aside, he quickened his stride and spread his shoulders with the purpose to bump into Zayne. Zayne, on the other hand, paid no attention at all, for he was drawn into a conversation with Rubia.

Crackle.

The man turned his body sharply, hitting Zayne with his shoulder. However, instead of the expected outcome, the man felt a sharp pain, as if he had crashed into a pillar of stone and the recoil that passed through his body threw him sideways.

"Agh...?" Zayne looked at the man with a confused expression, tilted his head, and bent down, extending a hand, "Did you slip? Let me help you."

The man was puzzled, then a sly smirk appeared on his face, "Sure, thanks."

He grasped Zayne's hand and squeezed it as tightly as he could, fully tensing his muscles. However, there was no emotion on Zayne's face, he just lifted the man up and headed on.

"What the hell was that now...?" The man muttered in disbelief looking at his palm, "Shit... I need to exercise harder!"

As the sun almost disappeared over the horizon, Zayne and Rubia left the cafe. Rubia was very impressed with Zayne's adventures as he told her practically everything.

"Now I understand why you unconsciously called the other players newbies... Compared to what you did, they really are." Rubia muttered with a confused face.

"Hah, you overestimate me." Zayne smiled broadly, "By the way, if you get a chance to visit Red Feather City, maybe we can even meet there."

"Sure! I'll definitely give it a try!" Rubia replied with excessive enthusiasm, something Zayne was completely unprepared for.

"Wow, it sounds like you're ready to do it right now." Zayne said, surprised.

"Hahaha, maybe. Okay, see you soon! It's late!" Rubia said goodbye, waving, and headed home.

Zayne watched her receding silhouette with a slight smile, before looking up at the bright blue moon that was gradually rising.

'Well, I should hurry too. I should be at RedFall Family Manor soon, and our mission will finally begin.' Zayne inwardly muttered and took a step forward.

The cold wind blew past him, making his old coat flutter, but, the owner of that coat was already a very different person.
