FATED LOVE |BL

Chapter 21:CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

The jade teapot fell to the ground. Was his mind playing tricks on him? He swears he heard someone yell out 'the ghost of Li Xiwang'

Suddenly there was a commotion outside his chambers, he grabbed his sword and made his way out.

Li Jie froze, his son had returned, he had returned!

"Ah Xi!"

Li Xiwang paused, the voice he had never heard since he left was now calling for him. The tears that welled up in his eyes was just a sample of the emotions he was feeling inside.

"Father...."

Li Jun and Li Qiang were frozen in place as well, he was back to them, everything will be alright now. They watched as the father and son shared their moment, the people of Li Shizu rejoicing and thanking the heavens for bringing their heir to the throne back.

Li Jie pulled away from the hug, his elderly hands softly caressing his son's face as he inspected him, it was like he was dreaming.

"Are you really here Ah Xi?" He asked weakly. Li Xiwang nodded as tears flowed down his face.

"It's me father, i have returned"

They hugged again. Li Qiang bit his bottom lip to stop himself from sobbing loudly, he was really back and so were his feelings for the young master.

"He seems different" Li Jun said.

"How do you mean?"

"His aura, it has changed, he looks more confident....more relaxed"

Li Qiang gasped.

"He has reached insight!"

It was getting dark and he had to hurry back to his hideout, the Tianshi celestial cave was where he lived now, no one dared to enter the cave since the rogue cultivator was found dead there so he didn't have to worry about people seeing him.

He pulled out a talisman and slapped it against the ground, thick walls of earth shot up to the sky blocking the people's view of him as he dove inside the celestial cave.

"Wang Zunyan! We know you are in there!" One of them taunted. He scoffed and pulled out another talisman, this time it was blank.

He nicked his finger with his canine teeth and drew an incantation on the paper with the blood. He looked out again and sent the talisman to the sky.

Then it started to rain with large pieces of ice, the hail hitting his chasers on the heads making them retreat. After the job was done the hail stopped and the talisman disappeared. He sighed.

"Why do they want me?"

Xiangyun Pavilion

Li Xiwang looked around his home, it still looked the same. He smiled weakly.

"That day...what happened?" Li Jie asks.

"I knew if I stayed i wouldn't reach my goal so I had one option, to leave"

He frowned, why did he had to leave so abruptly? He could've said his goodbyes to avoid the stress of searching for him.

"Ah Xi....that day we looked everywhere for you, to the point where Wang Zunyan had to dive inside the lake himself"

He shivered, Wang Zunyan dove inside the lake looking for him? Why?

"I owe everyone an apology" he said and dropped to his knees, Li Jie gasped.

Li Xiwang bowed three times, each time his forehead hitting the wooden floors.

"Stop! It's okay, you are forgiven"

He stood up and bowed.

"I will go rest now"

Li Jie watched his son walk off, for the first time in eight years, a smile formed on the sect leader's face.

"Welcome back.....Ah Xi"

Zhang Wei was at the training grounds with he disciples, beside him was Shao Wen, the two had become more closer and had started to train together in seclusion.

"You call that a fly kick? Do it again!"

"Yes sir!"

He shook his head with a sigh, these disciples will be the death of him. Suddenly a cup was held up to him.

"Drink this, to help you calm down"

He took a swig and sighed, the wine was sweet. He smiled.

"That is some good liquor, save it for later, you and I will drink it all night"

Zhang Xiu Ying and Zhang Jing looked at their two friends, they seem to be so chummy towards each other lately.

"Do you think Shao Wen....fancies Zhang Wei?" Xiu Ying asked.

"I don't know, how can you tell if one fancies the other"

"Look at his smile, he looks like a blushing bride"

Zhang Jing shrugged, her friend was just overthinking at this point.

"Let's go pick some wild flowers, i want to make a brew"

While the two females walked away, Shao Wen and Zhang Wei stayed behind as they watched the disciples train, one of them walked up to them, his eyes were light brown and his hair held in a side ponytail. In his hand was a lotus flower.

"Sect leader Zhang Wei, here i give this to you"

Shao Wen frowned, who was this man?

"Why would you give another man flowers?" He asked, the younger only shrugged and handed the flower to Zhang Wei.

"Man or woman, beauty must be appreciated" he said and walked away.

Zhang Wei turned to his friend, his face was crimson.

"Shao Wen, who is that young fellow?"

"His name is Wu Hao, son of the late Wu Fei, he's an orphan that thrives to be an inner disciple"

Zhang Wei nodded and took a whiff of the flower.

"I must spend time to know him more, don't you think?"

Shao Wen watched his friend walk off twirling the flower in his hand, he glared at Wu Hao who was talking with his friends.

"Why do you need to know him when I'm right here Zhang Wei?"

He put on his favourite robe, the blue and pink cloths matched perfectly, he tied up his hair with a calligraphy pencil and grabbed his hand fan.

He slid the doors to his room close and made his way to Xiangyun Pavilion. Li Jie smiled seeing him.

"Ah Xi, are you well rested?"

"Mn....father, i have something to talk about with you"

He closed the book his was reading and gave his son his attention.

"Anything wrong?"

"Not really...father I think....I think it's time I take over now, you are tired"

He smiled and held his hands, his son had returned as a matured man.

"Thank the heavens! I was going to force you on this chair if you didn't say something like this ,Ah Xi your mother will be proud"

He smiled and nodded.

"I hope she is"

Wang Zunyan sighed as he laid down on the haystack he had turned into a bed, he no longer dreams of Li Xiwang anymore so that means his soul had been given the chance to be reborn. He still misses him, eventhough they don't know each other that well he still finds himself missing him. He just hopes he comes back while he's still around.

"Li Xiwang, will you find me?"

He closed his eyes and let his mind roam wild as he slept.

In his dream he saw Li Xiwang for the first time in eight years, the young man was at Yuecheng lake playing the Guqin for the fish.

The serenity of the melody was calling out to him, he felt himself wanting to call out for him but he knew this was just a dream, so why bother. The melody came to an erupt stop.

"You are really not going to see me? Ah Zun?"

He shot up with sweat forming on his forehead. He exhaled deeply and sighed.

"Li Xiwang....have you returned?"

In the night at Li Shizu, Li Xiwang walked to the house of the two young men who had helped him. He knocked on the door and it immediately opened.

Fei fan smiled seeing him again.

"Gong sun he has returned!" He said excitedly, Gong sun who was in the kitchen replied,

"So?"

Li Xiwang laughed softly. These two men seem like great people to hang around with.

"Ehm, may I come in?"

"Of course"

He was led inside, he could see the simple furniture and food in simple dishes.

"Childe Li, how may we help you?" Gong sun asked once he had left the kitchen.

After they had realized who Li Xiwang was once he said he lived in Xiangyun Pavilion, the two men were in shock, so the long lost son was now back? It made them excited that Li Jie will take rest while his son took over.

Li Xiwang smiled.

"I want the both of you to come back with me to Xiangyun Pavilion"

"Huh?!"
