Chapter 25 - Blood

!Warning! !After this point read with caution! This chapter and next coming ones will leave one emotionally stifled! 😞

Free from Valentin's clutch the pain from her scalp lessened. Emilié stood up from the floor she was shoved on to and watched, how Valentin locked the door and her friends circled around her, with stupid grins in their faces.

"Now..'click' " She locked up the door and evilly grinned at Emilié finding her predicament a feast for her eyes. "..that Leevi isn't by your side 'rabbit' where can you jump away? Just so you know, you will not get out of here until I'm satisfied"

She walked next to Emilié to stare her down in the eyes, to make her intention fully clear.

"Since you love rabbits that much, then feel honored for me to make you into a real one" she chuckled, then she got near her ear saying "And, we will be the bad bad wolves taking a bite from the rabbit."

Contrary to Valentin's try making her anxious to what will happen, Emilié sneered by that. You puny children! Wolves! They resemble puppies with bark and no bite more than wolves. This is a total joke, what could they do to her other than verbally abuse and some physical punches.

Not that she likes pain, but she had felt a knife being sticked into her for a dozen times. The pain compared to the one which they could do, would be comparing a rundown shed with a mansion.

Thinking about this made Emilié chuckle. What kind of comparison was that? Wow, she took her life a little bit too lightly.

"What are you laughing at?!" Irritated at Emilié's not faced attitude Valentin grew angry. What was she thinking, she should cover in fear and not laugh, was she thinking this is a relaxing walk by the beach or a cozy picnic.

Valentin pushed her to one of the boys side.

Emilié was unprepared from her sudden move and lost her balance, crashing into the boys arms but not for long, he swiftly pushed her away to another person.

Since Emilié was a light weight, even the girls hadn't had difficulties pushing her around.

They even startet to hurl insults at her.

"Ugly, ever looked in the mirror!"

"Useless sh*t!"

"Moocher!"

"Thinking of yourself for something better, piece of sh*t!"

"Good for nothing, know your place!"

"Waste of space and resources!"

So she was pushed around, and her head grew dizzier by every push. She underestimated her weak body and this run down shed too much.

Afterall, even a run down shed is able to withhold the wind and rain...- this truly wasn't the right metaphor to represent her predicament. A shed is protecting those that stand under it and Valentin was only hurting.

Valentin gotten up in the heat of the moment, when she catched Emilié in her arms, she pushed her really hard away. It was so hard, that the boy who's turn it was, couldn't catch her in time. Emilié flew with full force into the heater of the room.

Seeing Emilié's head bang against the heater everyone held still. Was everything ok with her? There came no peep from Emilié and she didn't move at all.

"H-Hey Valentin, d-d-don't you think we went to far?" Came from one of the boys.

But instead of appeasing Valentin's anger and stopping her, he fanned the fire of fury in her heart.

"Shut up" She glared sharply at him and brang her attention back to the still silent Emilié.

"You useless girl, acting dead on me or what! Don't think I believe your stupid act. Just why is daddy always giving you so much attention?" Her voice seethed with jealousy, that pent up from the days Sasha spent with Emilié, playing the piano together.

"Everything is because of you, mother is always crying, brother is never taking my side and is protective of you and father never cares for me. What do you have what I don't? While you idle around I always learn how to be a good lady, but they still don't look at me!" Valentin heartfully ranted, her cute face twisted from her hate.

But after all this one sided rant, Emilié didn't react, making Valentin's throat clamp together.

"Listen to me!" She shouted giving Emilié a kick.

It was not that Emilié was unconscious or so, she had heard every word of Valentin, but her head was to dizzy and somehow she felt cold and unable to move. Something wet run down her face and with the kick of Valentin she was forced to face her.

'Hiiiii'

Everyone s.u.c.k.e.d in cold air, Emilié's pale white skin like the purest snow was painted with the redness of spider lilies, it strongly flowed down her cheek and bloomed on her dress into gorgeous flowers. It was like the thing Emilié lossed wasn't precious blood, but water she could get from the tap, making it a terrifying sight for the tender minded children.

This was the first time they saw so much blood, never in their mind flashed the idea that their behaviour could have left such an impact. Under Emilié's left eye was a two inch long laceration, deep enough for it to leave a scar if untended.

Emilié felt slight pain, but the dizziness confused her senses, so she still had not noticed the cut on her face. She tried to concentrate and clear her mind but was nevertheless muddle headed, she raised her face and those bleak and lifeless eyes of hers pierced into Valentin's.

Suddenly "I-I-It's not my fault." denied one of the girls with a loud voice, her tears streaming down from the shock.

She immediately dashed to the door, unlocked it and run out. The others seeing her flee took the chance and followed suit, escaping their responsibility and leaving Valentin and Emilié alone in the room.

Valentin was to shocked by the blood to take care for them running away. Her head panicked, how could it escalate so much? She only wanted to put her younger sister on her place and not hurt her.

How? How did it come to this? So much blood! What did she do wrong? Without knowing she had overstepped the bullying, she wanted to scream out of fear, but thinking there might be someone hearing her she held it back.

Emilié's face was emotionless, no indication of pain, sadness or hurt, staring at Valentin as if conveying to her 'satisfied now, was it worth it?'

Seeing her in this state made Valentin feel stuffy. Her panic rose to her head and she kneed in front of Emilié, wipping the overflowing blood away with her sleeve, feeling like, if she'd do that the blood would stop flowing.

Her favorite pink dress was now tainted too with a crimson colour. She wiped and wiped but the blood did not stop, her eyes became moist from the acc.u.mulated tears.

Right now, it was not anger she felt, not jealousy or hate, but remorse. What came over her to go this far. She should be ashamed of herself to do this to a defenseless person.

Her tears finally spilled out and she began to sob "I'm sorry, I'm sorry".

Her stomach churned, she felt like puking right now, without giving Emilié one more look she turned and rushed out the room.

This was the first time she was afraid not of the consequences, but of those bleak, deep blue eyes that pierced into her shallow heart. With that she ran away, fleeing the scene, fleeing the consequences, fleeing her guilt; like - out of sight, out of mind.

On this day, Valentin would never forget the face of her younger sister that looked so lifeless, with a pale face deprived of blood, crimson tainting this whiteness with a mix of despair.

Oh god, if you hear this, please forgive her, for she has sinned. Her hands were smeared with her own kinds blood.
