Fate's Game [GL]

Chapter 39 - Lost it

But these two young and old headstrong people already collided together. Emilié got Emil's message loud and clear, he doesn't want to train her no matter what she does.

Her eye rims turned red and her eyes flamed up with rage, her heart stood under fire. How could he disregard her and trample on her first move to independence this brusque¹?!

Her hand gripped tightly on the throwing knife, with the impulse to throw it into his visage to add more scratches to this pretty face. What a st*pid f***er!

Right now, he was doing the complete opposite of what the doctor recommended. The doctor said, Emilié shouldn't be exposed to any provoking matter that might lead her to emotional distress, so she could recuperate in peace and have no other future complications occurring.

But, before she could fully rage out; a weight came over her head.

"Hahaha, I have seen enough to fill me up. (her secret love for drama) Now stop all this whining, you're not a kindergarden child Emil." Sera patted Emilié on the head, which unusually calmed the fire down in her heart.

Sera looked at Emil with her standard cold face and said, "If you don't wanna train her, I will take her and train her myself."

"What! Sera you know that's not possible! Grace will be mad if you don't return! You know how flippant he becomes when you're missing!" Emil opposed.

"That's why I will take her with me. I can raise her there and furthermore, we would help Jane take a burden away; since she does not seem to be that happy of taking care of your mess."

"You!" Emil's face became beed red.

"What, am I wrong? Wasn't it you who dragged a child away from her home because she was mistreated? Now I am cleaning behind you, and give this child a happiness she herself choose."

Sera told the truth, he dragged Emilié unplanned down and refused to give what she wanted apart from if it was the best or worst for her.

But, the reason why Sera felt obliged to help her was not comradice for Emil, it was the child's eyes. She could see it. The thirst, the thirst for revenge.

Eyes, that she had seen ones long before in herself. The d.e.s.i.r.e for revenge edged deep into her bones, making her life a cold casket, living it, in this colorful world half dead. Those dark vibes a normal child could never have.

This could surely not come from the suffering the servants or her family could have done to her, nor her acquired knowledge of Claudia's death; it must be some deeper pain that laid behind her rage.

But she will not pry in Emilié's personal matter, better let that rage feast on her hurt and flame the inferno in her heart for infinite, never to extinguish, shall she remember her heart's pain and strive for her deserved liberation.

That's in face of Sera's opinion the best way to handle it. She herself does it and she herself knew how much pain it followed with, so she can guide this child with similar scars into the right direction with less bumps in the road.

"She will stay here! Ok, I only have to train her is it that! But she will absolutely not! go to that place filled with a bunch of freaks!" Emil roared in irritation.

"Hmm, ok then. Keep your word and train her."

A smile slithered for a second on Sera's face and disappeared but, not fast enough to escape Emil.

"Huh?" came a puzzled voice from Emil. He could persuade her this easy...

...then blood rushed into his brain and he became angry. He was tricked!! Sera hasn't hesitated even for a second before caving in.

D*mn, was he dumb or what? Just saying yes and not bringing up a fight... the heck! He lost it pretty quickly! What was he even trying to accomplish?

Sera said she'd guide Emilié in the right direction, and yes, the right direction would be Emil and staying in this summer house with Jane; she never planned to bring her to the Black Viper's headquarters.

Emil was right, they were a bunch of freaks and none of them are good to coach Emilié with a healthy mind. All of them can be described with one word, 'crazy'.

Just remembering back on the day were they got the mission of eradicating Sasha's team; there was one in their team called 'Chef', who cuts his 'ingredients' into unidentifiable bits. And afterwards, falls into a trance, humming that he was hungry.

Just good that he stopped the habit of cooking his 'ingredients' and trying to eat them!

He had to partner up with muscles every time, so he could hold him back, thus Chef was still alive and did not die on food poisoning.

Please. Sane was this bunch definitely not, and able to guide a child neither!

The only thing they could do, was creating another insane monster like them. She'd rather spare Emilié from that process.

"Now that we clarified everything, I will bring her back to her chamber to rest." Sera took Emilié's hand and led her out the room.

While brushing her shoulder against Emil's, she whispered quietly in his ear. "Tonight. My room." and disappeared with Emilié in tow.

"Wha..!" Emil wanted to follow her to ask what she meant but...

"Emil, don't you think you have something to tell me?" to his side was a scary woman with all smiles, awaiting some honest answers from him.
