Fate's Reversal: The Divines Return

Chapter 107 - Shocking Information

Outside, floating above their residence was both Christine and Michael. However, one had a light azure tinted silver crown with unblemished angel wings. While the other had blackened horns with crimson angel wings.

"Honey, we have to pay him a visit. It seems he bestowed Kaiden his practice already."

"Yeah, if he didn't his Realm of Desolation wouldn't have activated. At least, I don't think it should have. Perhaps, his potential is stronger than what was measured?" guessed Michael.

Unable to answer their budding questions, holding hands they zoom into the distance. An aura that encompassed nearly half the world spread from Michael. And while inside that aura, a crimson portal opened as Michael and Christine walked through.

In moments, they exited the portal. Where they arrived was a familiar place. Seated before them, was an older individual who's age betrayed his appearance. As they stood there he seemed to be aging in reverse and soon. He reverted to an appearance just as aesthetically pleasing as Michael and Christine just of an aged variant—it was Nathaniel Graham.

"Guardian Xykreed, Mykiel greets you."

"Guardian Xykreed, Chrisia greets you."

Oddly, as Kaiden's parents bowed, their form of greeting was different from the names they established on this planet. They used their true names!

"I'm sure you're here to inquire about your son." nodded Nathanial or rather Xykreed.

"Yes, he is showing signs of recovering the memories of his predecessor already. What was the catalyst?" inquired Michael.

"It was my doing, or rather. It was my interpretation that he was sufficiently mȧturėd. While it is true his true resided at Fate Ordained Child level at the minimum...I don't think he is one. Perhaps he is something far greater...perhaps he will reignite the Divine Lineage." nodded Xykreed with a proud look in his eyes.

"Ah, Guar-

"We aren't in the presence of our home or race hierarchy just call me what I am." chuckled Xykreed as he interrupted Mykiel.

"Yes Father." nodded Mykiel.

"Yes, Father in Law." sweetly smiled Chrisia as she embraced Mykiel's arm.

It was shocking...in actuality! Kaiden's real grandfather stood before them. It was now clear why he was handed such a disgustingly convenient spatial ring.

"I hope soon, I can see my grandchildren. I have already bestowed Kaiden the ancient practices of Self. He must now cultivate both his Internal and External Self. With his talent, it isn't a matter of if but when he will reach the required level. He will reveal exactly how he must advance. Also, I would like to take a look at Ezekiel's talent also.

"Oh. I can't forget this, I fear Kaiden's potential isn't fully unearthed. I sensed the presence of the Primordial Fate Serpent Chains within him. He may be something more than just a Fate Ordained Child." inferred Xykreed.

"I will bring them to you soon enough. I have already bestowed upon them knowledge of their task."

"Good. Also, SIGMA is now ready. I will be implementing it into Sanctoria. With that, you know what happens." said Xykreed as he turned to the two. .

"I understand. The initial barrier will slowly dissolve."

"It seems we will also be joining soon."

"Yes, it seems so. As you know, the Supremes' are existences we can't handle at this moment. However, we also can't let them run rampant either. They already fragmented the Origin. Which in turn shifted the views of the planets."

"We know, that is why it is up to the Chosen One to create destruction that brings order to the chaos in the void." nodded Mykiel.

"Yes. It is so."

"You may proceed with the task you were going to embark on. I bestow permission to hand Kaiden that follower. He has the potential to temper him. And perhaps, that boy is what he needs to break his prior chains."

With this, the pair once again disappeared into the crimson portal.

At the same time, Xykreed lifted his head. "Eon…" As he spoke, his voice carried out through the void.

"Yes, Guardian?"

"It is time to act. You know what needs to be done."

"Yes, Guardian. I know what needs to be done. I shall act this instant."

"Very well."

Finishing his sentence, Xykreed's appearance once began morphing into that of Nathaniel Graham. Taking a seat, the majestic aura and appearance faded from his body. Clicking a buŧŧon on his desk, Nathaniel spoke.

"Commence SIGMA."

....

At the same time, Kaiden and Ezekiel looked at each other.

"Zeek do you have foggy memories in your mind too?"

"Ever since a few moments ago in the game, yes. I'm not sure what it was but I had a vision of an angel-like being with 6 crimson wings. It was pretty cool honestly."

"Maybe that's you?"

"I don't know...I do and don't doubt it at the same time. Maybe there's a possibility it was. How about you?"

"I'm not sure how to explain it but remember that greatsword in the game I touched?"

"Yes, it was rather enchanting."

"It caused me to experience a weird set of memories. It was like… some sort of celestial being conference, but the main POV died. But his words resonated with me. He said he would be back and stronger than ever. What's more...it felt like it belonged to me." pondered Kaiden.

"Well, the answers to all our questions will be revealed later now wouldn't it?"

"I guess that may be true." nodded Kaiden.

"Either way, what we need to do now is continue to get stronger." added Ezekiel.

Turning towards Ezekiel, Kaiden rubbed his chin. "I'll continue forward in my plans the same way."

With his memories, he could recreate the timeline as close as possible but also alter it to the optimal state. Moreover, what he already experienced within Sanctoria was drastically different from the previous initial experience. Changes in his mind took place as events seeped into his mind in blurry bits and pieces.

'Sanctoria. Time Lords. Ascendants. Supremes. Origin. What is the significance of all these? I am called one of the Fate Ordained Children, but what exactly does that mean?'

As he walked up the stairs, Kaiden pondered when he was alerted by a notification on his holowatch.

[Alert: <World's Destiny: Redemption has reached its first milestone! Due to sufficient player base and information gathered; it will now issue its first update—Sigma: Coming of Second Life! With that being said, in 3 minutes the world will be offline and inaccessible. For any inconvenience, compensation will be dealt if any progress is interrupted. The duration of the update will be 3 days.]

'...Sigma? This name feels like it is important. Sigm-...'

As he thought of the name, a sudden chain reaction happened. Kaiden's body spasmed as his eyes flickered. Scenes of his past game experiences elapsed. Moreover, they were focused on the entity known as Sigma. Only, that Sigma wasn't exactly the same as the one soon to be revealed in this timeline.

As the sudden influx of memories soon subsided, Kaiden's eyes focused as he clutched his head. However, as he clutched his head, a certain fact became clear; the game was about to undergo a major change!

'Sigma...but based on the information in my mind, it's a year too early. No wonder, Dad said I shouldn't be too worried about these forgotten memories. Interesting. I guess I could just call my past experiences a guiding beacon at best?

'Does that mean...when Eon said I was the only anomaly... that wasn't the truth? Or maybe his words held another meaning? Now I am curious...just how strong are the beings here if everything returned to its true power.'

Kaiden received some answers to questions he previously didn't think of. However, those answers lead to a new set of questions. What lies beyond this world after this one was conquered? What happened that made Ascendants come to Earth? What is his fate? Was the person in his vision him...or someone else? All these questions ȧssaulted Kaiden's mind as he remained in a slight daze.

But deep down, he looked forward to the journey. The excitement fueled his intentions of getting stronger; his task provided the incentive. Deep down, he felt the stipulations behind his task were both preparatory and dire.

As Kaiden pondered, a wave of fatigue washed over him causing his eyelids to become heavy. Although he recovered his body's energy, it still needed time to recuperate properly at the internal level.

Reaching his bed, Kaiden laid sprawled across it; at this point, he was bȧrėly resisting the embrace of the dream world. However, before he could do so another notification came through. Only this time, it was a call and the ID was Kassandra Blair.

"Hey Bunny."

"Are you okay Key?"

"Yeah, I'm doing better, just feeling extremely tired."

Fiddling with her fingers, Snow Bunny's eyes evaded Kaiden's."You should get some sleep! But...Um...The game is currently undergoing maintenance...so...can I see you?"

Surprised, Kaiden's eyebrows rose as a slight smile appeared.

"Yeah, I want to see you."

"Tomorrow! Come to my place. Um...bring clothes, stay over. I don't have much to do." blurted Snow Bunny, before covering her mouth.

"Haha okay. It's a promise and a date."

Nodding bashfully, after talking and exchanging other pleasantries; the call ended. However, this left Kaiden to ponder a certain incident.

"I'm becoming displeased with public transit. It's more convenient to purchase a car.

"Maybe tomorrow, I'm too tired...to do anything right now…"

As Kaiden spoke to himself, his eyes slowly closed as he drifted off into a deep sleep.
