Fate's Reversal: The Divines Return

Chapter 34 - Moving Forward

'This is going to be more difficult than I thought, I need more reputation. No one will listen to my propositions like this. Things must be expedited. I set the baseline, now my guild needs to grow, not in size but rather presence.'

With being said, Kaiden set up the GCP in a way accentuating Symbolic Soul's basic outline. There were now 4 ways to acquire GCP. Firstly, they would be rewarded by completing tasks assigned by management. Secondly, helping guild members advance through the game will also earn GCP. Thirdly, you could exchange useless equipment for GCP equal to the market value. Lastly, donating operation funds to the guild will reward GCP at varying ratios.

As a Main member: 3 Bronze = 1 GCP, Core member: 4 Bronze = 1 GCP, and lastly Basic members had the basic ratio. 5 Bronze = 1 GCP. However, to provide incentive Kaiden offloaded half of his spatial ring's content from the Psychotic Sword Realm. What's more, equipment will be placed in the guild warehouse at market value.

Once again Kaiden toured the streets of Crescent Wake Town as he made his way back towards Merchant Association, it was now time to gather the Lifestyle workers under one roof.

Approaching the desk of the Merchant Association to purchase commercial property, Kaiden was present with an extensive list of properties.

Now commercial properties were slightly different compared to residential properties--all commercial properties started with the same structure; minuscule compared to residences, however, you could upgrade them further. Whereas, resident properties came with a huge plot of land and less potential growth. At least, this is when it came to town limitations.

In addition, the price of a residence was determined by the area of its plot. In contrast, shop prices were determined by the location in the different tiers of the city. Outskirts being the cheapest, followed by Residential, then Commercial and finally, the Town Square, where the most activity took place on a daily basis.

Ultimately, Kaiden settled for 2 shops, one in the commercial area and the other teetering on the border of commercial and town square; they cost 7,485 Gold and 10,850 Gold respectively. This left Kaiden with slightly over 20,000 gold. However, there was still interior and exterior renovations costs.

'Oi, I know I said would feel anything about shelling out so much money, but boy did I lie. My heart hurts! However, that's ok. You know the saying it takes money to make money.'

Standing at the desk, Kaiden exhaled while softly rubbed his temples, he acquired the exact things he needed, however, he had to mentally adjust himself. Completely switching from a solo mindset to a far more encompassing one wasn't an easy process. It took precious time.

When it came to property grades they ranged from F-SS, denoting the potential of a plot. F being a basically useless plot of land and SS being a gold mine. Many factors came into play when determining a plot's value, however, the biggest is self-explanatory—the reputation of the civilization.

However examining the deeds Kaiden frowned and spat angrily as he grumbled to himself, 'Bah, of course, the developers designed commercial property so it would resort to a percentage for taxes instead of a set fee.'

The basics of World's Destiny sort of mimicked the real world. At the lower levels, the tax is minimal, however, when business boomed, that is their plan—to take advantage of the exponential growth to receive higher returns reaping benefits from the players without moving a finger. What are they...the IRS?!

Receiving a list of in-game names from Gentle Whisper, Kaiden began contacting the contracted Lifestyle members, particularly the Architects at this moment.

With an hour's time, Kaiden amassed 24 Architects that have been contracted with the guild and sent them Union invitations. Instantly, the logo of a meteorite with a golden flame trail behind it appeared on their left c.h.e.s.t. The colors of the logo followed the same colorway as a guild pin—on Kaiden it was adjacent to the 'Ethereal Conviction' logo—the black gold bordered 'Rising Comet Trading Firm' logo.

The present Architects all ranged from Intermediate to Advanced Apprentices; it wasn't as easy as Kaiden thought to bring the gap between an Advanced Apprentice and an Official Lifestyle class.

"I will be splitting you guys into 8 groups and sending you on tasks that will provide extreme benefits to your current Profession experience. With that being said, I need at least 1 Advanced Apprentice per group."

With Kaiden instructions, the original 2:1 ratio split into 3 groups of 1:3, 1:3, and 1:1. Obviously, the 1:1 group would be focusing on the Guild Residence as that held precedence. As Kaiden provided the group with the blueprint of his d.e.s.i.r.es, the group expression brightened as their gazes became fervent—one stepping forward from the group.

"S-Sir! We will get this done with haste and it will more than suit your tastes."

Kaiden examined this Dwarven Architect whose name was very simple "Adept Builder", his build was brawny due to his race along with his plain features, a dark navy head of hair. He was one of the high-level Advanced Apprentices causing Kaiden to nod.

Leaving with haste, Kaiden was now left alone as he felt a pang of freedom, however, he was aware that his tasks were never done and rather evermore.

'Summon Kriishna and Latahhya.'

The space in front of Kaiden vibrated, a moment later both Kriishna and Latahhya appeared before Kaiden. Kriishna was shocked by Latahhya's appearance and furthermore, her aura. It was practically the same as Kaiden's just a tad more violent. Intensifying his gaze, Kriishna scrutinized Latahhya's energy.

"My Lord, is this your Lady?"

Kriishna's blunt question resulted in a tinge of blush to appear amongst Latahhya's caramel cheeks.

"Yes, she is Kriishna. This is Latahhya; Latahhya—Kriishna."

Once Kaiden experienced sweet p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e with Latahhya and began understanding their bond slightly, he no longer denied her and instead embraced the relationship.

"Well my lord, she is a beauty. Much deserving of my lord, heh."

"T-thank you!"

After his words, Kriishna offered an approving chuckle. Afterward, the one to respond wasn't Kaiden but rather Latahhya, since this person shared a relationship with Kaiden she wouldn't be cold and reverted to her usual self.

"It's about time we hunt some bosses, my level is lacking."

"Level...sir? Oh, you mean your experience? Yes, we need you to become more trained so my potential is unlocked.", agreed Kriishna with a slightly curious expression.

'Right, they are NPCs so some terms don't apply to them and they remain oblivious.'

While dungeons were an optimal choice for team leveling, Kaiden was a singularly strong entity, therefore he was on the hunt for bosses. It was not yet time for Kaiden to dungeon dive as his current objective the Lv.50 Castellan's Labyrinth, a 50-man Squad-grade Dungeon.

That was another aspect of the dungeons discovered by guilds who were exploring the maps of Sanctoria. Currently, they were aware of the 2 types of dungeons.

Team dungeons which typically consisted of no more than 5-20 people and only came in the Normal and Hard difficulty. Then you had the step above, Squad dungeons which are typically 25-50 man dungeons and only introduced at Lv.50. Additionally, this type of dungeon introduced a new mode—namely, Hell. Information was lacked about this mode but it was now an option.

'Oh! I need a sword.'

Rummaging through his ring, Kaiden ultimately found a simple looking grey alloy sword, this was an item that dropped inside the Psychotic Sword Realm, it was a pure damage weapon, holding no skills.

A trio of varying heights and statures stood in a valley; low area between hills or mountains. What's more, running through it was an indigo river, the color highly unsettling. The depression however wasn't longer than it is wide. The terms U-shaped and V-shaped are descriptive terms of geography to characterize the form of valleys but this was more of a "|_____________|" shape. With an oceanic view of orcs running around. (Author's Note: This wouldn't be an RPG without Orcs right?! Bwahaha.)

This was one of the indigenous monsters to the Crescent Gale Valley.

They weren't the typical vomit green orcs as depicted—these ones were a pale blue—similar to the moonlight. With that being said, their other features were almost identical to normal orcs except for the eyes. Instead of a crimson red, they were a pale whitish-blue also.

Lv.52 [Lunar Orc] (Normal)

Health: 310,000/310,000 (100%)

Lv. 51 [Lunar Orc] (Elite)

Health: 380,000/380,000 (100%)

'I need practice, levels are good. However, what I need is to hone my skills and not just blindly use them.

'Latahhya, Kriishna, hunt on your own. I will be taking care of myself.'

'Yes my Lord! Bisect these peasant creatures.'

'Okay, Hun!'

Everyone wielded their weapons looking like an epic trio preparing to rain down the torrents. Latahhya's weapon was by far the most intriguing, it was shining silver with a spiraling gold-plated dual wolf head spear. Immediately after, they accelerated in three different directions creating 3 small mini-explosions.

With that being said, Kaiden dashed into the fray, wielding Angurvadal and the Nightfall Blade. Kaiden was pleasantly surprised when he realized he no longer had a dominant hand. Following the evolution of his brain, the way his brain operated shifted, the nerves of his body was at homeostasis--every nerve received equal amounts of attention.

Additionally, Omniblade Wielding was extremely different from regular dual wielding, you were the only limitation.

'Oh yes, this makes things even better.'

Kaiden began taking short faux steps which caused abrupt changes in direction at a moment's notice. Kaiden became embroiled in a battle with orcs. Because of their towering physiques—3 meters tall, Kaiden aimed his onslaught at the lower extremities of the orcs.

Slice, Kaiden aimed at the orc's connecting joints. Suddenly he disappeared from his current position, with a huge arcing step Kaiden appeared behind an orc and delivered a dashing slice. This slice tore through the posterior of the orc's knee. With that dash, he ended up in front of another orc.

-1,687 [-422], -5,950! (Vital Critical) [-1,487]

Crossing his blades, Kaiden delivered a cross slash to the knee of one and used the orc's shoulder as a platform to jump into the air. What followed was an awe-inspiring scene; Kaiden placed Nightfall's blade under his feet and used it at yet another platform spring, creating a small booming sound.

'Phewmm!'

Tearing through the air, Kaiden reached ridiculous heights and began implementing the technique Kroxus instilled in him, his expression stern with a keen gaze.

'Pierce and desecrate! Gravitational Descent - Homing Pierce'

Descending with the exact technique he used to ascend, just in a more pronounced fashion; Kaiden created a true sonic boom with the amplification of gravity as small amounts of will and Sword Force coalesced around Angurvadal and Nightfall. Equally important, Kaiden also conjoined the tips of the swords and he began rotating.

'(Enhanced) Gravitational Descent - Hurricane's Terror'

..... 'KABOOOM!' 'WHOOOSH!'

A silence pervaded—then a thunderous boom followed causing Kriishna and Latahhya to turn their heads in shock and they momentarily halted their onslaughts.

'He's a horror. That type of impact should require more experience to execute!'
