Fate's Reversal: The Divines Return

Chapter 42 - Auction - Financial Donger War 1

'Ah! I'm stupid, what the f.u.c.k!'

He had the spatial ring that Kairo gave him and reaching Stage 2 gave him access to the 2nd layer to which he still hadn't opened.

Looking inside his spatial ring, Kaiden was shocked and then tilted his head. He was notified by a message.

[System: Inventory space has been expanded by 100%.]

Just this area alone of this spatial layer was about twice the size of the 1st layer. What's more, the 2 spatial layers integrated and took the size of the 2nd layer so his inventory space became one and expanded.

"Ahahaha!".

He laughed like a madman, that's what he was—a madman who was driven mad by munniiiii.

Kaiden's crazed laughter continued to resound throughout the Merchant Association lobby. The benefits his ring offered on the 1st layer was baby food compared to what he was awarded by the 2nd layer.

First there was a collection of gold that formed a mountain that was far from small, at least 4 times the size of the previous mountain. Additionally, there were crystalline fruits as well as scrolls and books littering the floors. That wasn't it, there were also small piles of metals which Kaiden didn't know anything about.

'Woahohoho! Kairo really knows how to spoil someone my god.'

Kairo being old-fashioned, abided strictly by the ' your efforts shall be rewarded accordingly.' Well, the "accordingly" pertaining to Kairo was left to his discretion. Furthermore, the fact that he was an Ancient, well, everything seemed miniscule to him under the Legendary Rank. So you could infer the quality of his gifts.

Only thing Kaiden cared to check at this moment was the gold quantity and when he learned the total, he nearly shat his pants. He had more than enough to carry through his plans.

258,000 Gold. That was how much his current amount of gold increased by. His inventory status bar now read over 280,000 gold.

If he converted this to US Dollars, he would be set for who knows how long. However, that wasn't his current plans. He would be reinvesting this. Spending money to make money. Dabbling in the ways of the financial guru.

All hail the cash god Kaiden. We pray your financial donger be forever stronk.

"Excuse me, may I have a list of all residential properties please?

Receiving a list, Kaiden once again glimpsed through as one of the 6 Guild Residence plots were blacked out. Obviously that was the Lunar Essence Mansion.

However, aside from Guild Residences, there were 12 other residential plots that Kaiden could choose from.

'Would guilds aim for commercial or residential properties first? These shops are basic at best so they lack a high quantity of production rooms. And residential properties can be used as makeshift production rooms if modified...I will purchase them simultaneously then.'

"Commercial properties also please."

"One second please."

Comparing the list, Kaiden focused on 13 plots. In terms of value they existed from the medium-high to high-low categories. Meaning each plot cost from 16,000 Gold to 29,000 Gold.

'I'll have to make a second identity. I can only hold 7 plots under this name.'

With that being said, Kaiden went ahead and spent 127,462 Gold to purchase 7 plots of decent size. His devilish plan was to only learn the most expensive plot for sale. Why? So the guilds would be hard-pressed to gather funds once purchased.

Not everyone was like Kaiden and had the support of an Ancient Divine or the various system announcements. Nor would their guild members always feel charitable to contribute to the guild. As in many guilds, most of the people were there only in name.

Ask yourself, why would a basic member experiencing little to no benefits in the beginning of the game contribute? The riddle would then be solved.

Storing the deeds for the plots, Kaiden left the Merchant Association. Reaching an alley, Kaiden once again activated the Mask of Obscurity and only changed his appearance, class, and name.

This persona was a middle-aged man with a dignified expression and sturdy physique. As for his class, it was a Tier 2 Paladin. And his name—HolySmite.

Going through the same process, Kaiden purchased the deed for another 7 more property plots. As a result, Kaiden spent 128,914 Gold on this purchase. Once again, Kaiden's wallet thinned as his inventory now had 24,608 Gold.

'Ah there should be a couple minutes until the auction starts. Perhaps there are things offered by the system that are worth it.'

Making his way towards the Auction House, Kaiden witnessed the mass of people gathering towards the same direction. There were many fancily dressed people who looked as if they spent way too much on equipment that would soon be ditched.

'Hm seems a bunch of young masters and silkpants are seeking to purchase that guild scroll. Idiots who think money solve everything…'

Kaidens grin then turned devilish.

'But yes, become my financial sustenance.'

Inside the Auction House...

Kaiden disguised as HolySmite took a convenient seat towards the back.

As he sat, two people appeared from behind the curtains on stage—standing before the podium.

"Hello, I am Stella your auctioneer and this is Albert the Senior appraiser. With him, the quality of the items are guaranteed at the least."

Kaiden inspected this young lady with a cursory glance. Because of her stature, he found no attraction towards her. Although her features could be described as cute. With her rosy cheeks, clear eyes and curly maroon hair. Her body was very childish. Her height was about 153 centimeters—resulting in her building being very petite.

What's more, the outfit she wore was of a maid's taste. She wore a white blouse, a frilly skirt as well as an apron. Additionally, she wore a pink bunny ear headband. Overall, her appearance was what it was—cute.

"With that being said, there will be at least 10 items for sale this auction. Without further ado—let us begin."

Waving her hand, the first item was bought out. It was an ill.u.s.trious silver shield, with golden rune engraving. In the middle was the face of what looked to be an insignia of a mountain.

"This Kribash Mountain Guard's minimum bid price is 50 Gold and only bids of at least 1 Gold is accepted."

'Oh this is perfect for Hollow. I'll get it for him.'

Instantly bids began being called.

"51 Gold."

"60 Gold."

"62 Gold."

Within moments, the bids reached upwards of 80 Gold. However, it showed signs of slowing down as not many people participated in the competition for this item.

At that moment, Kaiden made his move.

"90 Gold.

His voice slightly altered sounded inherently solemn. Of course, as a result, the immediate crowd in front of him turned to match a face with the voice.

"We have 90 Gold, any other bidders? Going once...going twice…"

"92 Gold."

An arrogant voice resounded that sounded almost like he was sneering at Kaiden. Reacting, Kaiden raised an eyebrow slightly and simply shrugged.

"95 Gold."

"96 Gold." replied Kaiden.

"Hmph, 98 Gold."

"100 Gold." instantly rebutted Kaiden.

"Tch." the voice sounded aggravated as they became silent.

'Hmph, must be a silly one here for the scroll.'

"100 Gold, going once...going twice...Sold!" exclaimed Stella as 100 Gold disappeared from Kaiden's inventory and the shield appeared.

"The next item is an orb of unknown origin, however, it leaks the aura of the elements. Additionally, it possesses the aura of the past era as well as an ominous aura. It was found in the ruins of history. The base price is 1,000 Gold, accepting increases of 10 Gold at the least." said Stella.

Murmurs began sounding throughout the Auction House as people began trying to guess what this orb was for.

In light of this, Kaiden's eyes between twitching as his Firmament Piercing Eyes began interacting with this orb.

[System: Inspecting the item...Deciphering information...Information unlocked!]

[Zarzaxin's Crystalised Bloodline] (Special)

Zarzaxin's was a righteous Ancient Divine borderline Supreme, however, because of his ideals being shunned by the other Supremes' he was labeled as a fallen and banished to the depths of the Nether Realm. There he became a Fallen Divine and secluded himself in hopes of obliterating the shackles. Unfortunately, he fell before acting upon his wish.

This orb grants the "Celestial Demon Sovereign" bloodline. It's a growth bloodline which starts out as the weakest known grade - Elementary.

<Elementary-Grade>

Main Effects: Doubles Fortitude and Concentration, increases affinity with Energy by 20%.

Auxiliary Effects: Increases Strength, Agility, Dexterity, and Vitality slightly.

'It's a Bloodline! Speaking of which Kriishna and Latahhya have those and they provide certain boosts. I believe I need one also.'

At that moment, a muffled voice sounded out within Kaiden's ear.

"1,100 Gold."

Turning his head, Kaiden inspected the voice and realized it was a hooded person, however, based on their posture and curvature—Kaiden inferred it was a woman. However, Kaiden wouldn't be yielding.

'Because history has been manipulated, most of the current people don't know any truths about the past, therefore chalking this up to unknown origins. However, thanks to Kroxus and Kairo—I'm not in the dark.'

"1,150 Gold.", Kaiden answered.

Glaring, the hooded figure and Kaiden became embroiled in a financial donger war. After a minute of back and forth, the price of the item broke past 5,500 Gold.

Rubbing his chin, Kaiden expressed his curiosity, 'The only reason this person would counteroffer so adamantly is if they also possess an identification skill advanced enough to learn it's origins.'

"5,650 Gold.", Kaiden called out..

'5,700 Gold." responded the hooded figure

'Hmph...okay we can play then.'

"6,000 Gold.", responded Kaiden.

This made the hooded figure tremble and grit their teeth.

"6...6,100 Gold."

"6,500 Gold." Kaiden instantly rebutted.

'Keep going and you'll just become insecure about your financial donger ma'am.'

"Tch." responded the hooded figure as they crossed their arms seemingly pouting.

"6,500 Gold going once...twice...sold!"

Once again, 6,500 Gold disappeared from Kaiden's inventory as the item he bid for appeared inside his inventory. The system was highly convenient in the sense that it didn't allow you to bid if you didn't actually possess that amount of gold. And when won, the transfer immediately commenced.

The stingy system wouldn't give you a chance to run.

As the Auction proceeded Kaiden languidly sat in his seat as there was no item that had yet to pique his interest again. Until it was his item that was called.

"Next we have the 3rd to last featured item of this auction—the Guild Creation scroll. However, this is a gold version resulting in the complete abolition of the creation requirements. With this, you are able to instantly create your guild that will soon rock the very core of this world!"

Adding flowery words created the effect Stella wanted as the crowd became riled and ready to open their mother's wallet to purchase this item. And if that wasn't enough they would simply travel to their grandmother's. They always made sure their grandkids were well fed hehe.

[Guild Creation Scroll] (Special)

Instead of taking the Guild Creation quest at Lv.20 costing an enormous fee. This scroll grants you the ability to directly create and register a Guild at any Adventurer Guild Hall enabling you to buy a Guild Residence territory at the fraction of the cost.

Additional: This is a Gold Rank version. Creating a guild will cost no fee and only require you to be a lord.

"The minimum price is 12,000 Gold and increments must be in at least 50 Gold Bids."

"13,000 Gold!"

"14,000 Gold!"

"14,200 Gold!"

The screams went wild and Kaiden smiled—he would be draining someone's pockets and hopefully it was enough to wreak havoc on the market on another front. This bid proved to be one of the longest bidding sessions.

"22,300 Gold! F.u.c.k! If this daddy doesn't purchase this scroll. I swear if I can't obliterate you, I will f.u.c.k your mother!"

Chuckling, Kaiden shook his head as this person was too hellbent on getting this scroll.
