Fate's Reversal: The Divines Return

"Haha! That's my little brother, no one makes me as proud as he does." chuckled Intact as Kaiden zoomed across the battlefield, pouncing on his second target. Making short work of the 2nd Vengeful Spirit—Kaiden ended the battle with a bisecting slash before the spirit deconstructed into floating particles.

With a few short 5 minutes, all that remained on the battlefield was the team, Latahhya, Kriishna, and the mini-boss Josephine. However, the boss was currently in a passive state as she screeched creating horrific wailing noises.

"Oh my god! Shut that shit up already!" screamed MagicsSlave as he covered his ears.

The duo of Latahhya and Kriishna were under little to no pressure as they confronted Josephine, although they also weren't necessarily winning either.

The recovery rate of Josephine was ridiculous. Being a mini-boss, she still fell under the boss category monster—therefore, her recovery rate was bolstered from 1% → 2%. With that being said, she recovered over 110,000 Health per second. This was the treachery that came with bosses as their levels increased—not only did their health increase but their recovery also became disgusting in accordance.

"Everyone, get in the Zenith Arrow formation. We will be dealing with this boss as quickly as possible." commanded Kaiden.

The Zenith Arrow formation was the formation they established earlier with the attackers spearheading, albeit an incomplete one. The magnitude was too small to truly be called a formation; additionally, this was being used in the wrong situation.

However, this formation did have a special just for dealing with bosses—it ignored aggro. How so? Simple, before attacks received from the boss landed on the person inflicting damage, the tanks switched positions with the attackers. By doing this, the people who generated the hatred and received the aggro of the boss hid behind the tanks. Leaving the boss with one option, to attack the tanks ahead of them.

"Kriishna, Earthen Demolisher."

"Roger!"

Imbuing his sword with an earthen yellow glow, Kriishna slammed his huge broadsword into the ground and huge chunks of rocks shot into the air.

Dashing forth under the shadow of the airborne boulders, Kaiden brandished his swords as he delivered 8 quick slashes to Josephine.

Disappearing from the boss's immediate line of sight by performing an abrupt arc step, Kaiden appeared behind Josephine. Performing a 1st Tempest Style - Origin Piercing Light, Kaiden pierced through Josephine's neck.

Far from done, Kaiden used the still floating boulders which looked like an earthen cage around Josephine as footholds. Jumping, Kaiden performed 2 slashes on the boss with each dash. Within a second, it looked a dashing line of silver dancing back and forth throughout the sky.

Kaiden was singularly demolishing this boss's health. The team froze for a moment—although they determined they would become numb to Kaiden's feats...they couldn't wrap their mind around such unique movements.

Unlike the frozen expressions of the others—Practice, FlashLight, and Despotic Shadow's eyes were covered in the glint of d.e.s.i.r.e. They sought to be this fluid.

However, they were unaware that Kaiden's stats were about double theirs if not more. Although, the one who would find these movements easiest should they try was FlashLight. He already held some type of control of his real physique.

As the rocks fell due to gravity, Kaiden landed skidding across the floor as he dropped his stance, but before dashing, he roared.

"OI! Don't just stand there dumbfounded! Get to work also!"

Nodding, the team scurried to offload their own skills and melee attacks with Kaiden. However, Latahhya glanced at Kaiden who had a fierce glint in his eyes and bit her lip slightly.

'Hun, I love it when you take command...you look s.e.xy! Hehe.' flirted Latahhya telepathically. Unfortunately, on the other side, Kriishna almost choked.

'Oh! I'm here! I can hear you! Control your l.u.s.t over my lord and focus on the battle!' grumbled Kriishna, resulting in Latahhya shooting him a glare.

Of course, because they were all Essence Linked, they shared the same channel of communication. Also, they could all basically feel each other's presence at all times. It was a feature unlocked when Kaiden accepted his second Combat Aide.

'Thanks, cutie.' chuckled Kaiden.

Embroiled in battle, the team was able to hold a DPS of 230,000 per second when factoring in Kaiden's skills. Of course, the occasional criticals boosted DPS at certain moments. Within 3 minutes, the team was able to drop the boss into its berserk state. However, this boss's Berserk happened at lower health than other bosses—15%. Of course, this spelled even more immediate doom for Josephine.

The team became skeptical when they realized this boss wasn't regaining Health like every other boss they even confronted.

"Um, is something wrong with the boss? Why is there any health regeneration?" asked Gentle Whisper as her finger touched her lip in curiosity.

Chuckling, Kaiden sent the entire team the information of his title "Bane of the Berserkers". Once again, the team became hard-pressed to keep cool. MagicsSlave immediately blew his gasket.

"WHAT?! SCANDALOUS! You are simply scandalous! There is no other way to describe you. How can one be so lucky?"

Unfortunately, Kaiden just shrugged because he knew if he showed the team what sat inside his spatial ring they would probably keel over at that instant. Their fragile hearts ceasing to function while continuing their existence.

"Oh, you think that was scandalous? Well, watch this haha." chuckled Kaiden.

Lv.48 [Josephine, Dwelling Vengeful Spirit] (Chieftain Mini-boss)

Health: 879,600/5,864,000 (15%)

'Kriishna, let's show them...LAUNCH.'

Tilting his sword on the ground, Kriishna pooled strength into his arms. Acting at that moment, Kaiden dashed with a small hop and landed on Kriishna's broadsword. In addition to being launched, Kaiden also jumped, adding a 2nd force to his ascent.

Performing multiple aerial flares, Kaiden reached the ceiling 60 meters above. Stabbing Nightfall inside the ceiling, Kaiden looked at the floor.

'Ho, this is a new feeling.'

Removing Nightfall, Kaiden lightly tapped his foot against the ceiling, creating a footprint and a booming noise. Letting go of Nightfall, Kaiden kicked its hilt with an aerial front flip, sending it hurtling down. This impaled Josephine through the c.h.e.s.t and pinned her on the ground.

Practice's eyes gleamed more intensely as he knew what was coming next. Kaiden pooled 500 points of Inner Energy into Sword Force. Rotating like a spinning top, Kaiden's sword cut through the air and pierced with a thunderclap.

'ZING!' 'BANG!'

Jumping with a backflip, Kaiden landed and placed Angurvadal back on his waist.

'Enhanced Eye of The Storm's Descent' is what Kaiden named this skill in his mind as it was slightly different from Homing Pierce.

Jaws dropped and if there were flies they would've easily found new homes to lay their eggs.

"HOLY DAMAGE!" screamed Despotic Shadow.

The team turned at the outburst which Despotic Shadow responded by silently staring.

"..."

"You know it's some ridiculous shit happening when Despotic Shadow has an outburst…" sighed Hollow Stance as he shook his head while cl.i.c.k.i.n.g his tongue.

"Eh...I told you." shrugged Kaiden.

Running up, Latahhya dropped her spear and jumped into Kaiden's arms hugging his neck.

'Teach me how to use that move hun! I can use that with a spear.'

Nodding Kaiden assented to her demand. Kaiden was aware that she was able to learn his skills and wouldn't be able to automatically use them.

Letting go, Kaiden rearranged the loot into equipment, materials, and coins. Now that everyone accepted a class, Skill Books dropped less often as there was the added menu called Skill Tree.

With Kaiden, because he started with a special class he opened the Inheritance Tab instead of Skill Tree. Regular classes used a system called "Class Points" which were rewarded every level or from special activities.

The Skill Tree allows you to choose from a range of skills inside your Tier. Inside Tier 1 you could choose from multiple Lv.20 to 50 skills. Of course, different rank skills cost different amounts of Class Points to unlock.

After Josephine died, the counter on Kaiden's title increased by one. Additionally, everyone in the party except MagicsSlave leveled up. That 400-500% experience bonus from 9-10 levels was too sweet.

Opening his inventory, Kaiden revealed the Kribash Mountain, which he tossed to Hollow like it was paper. Catching it, Hollow had a look of delight and also horror. This shield was too heavy to toss like that yet the Guild Leader did. However, when he inspected the details of the shield he became happy.

"Oh look who's so lucky!"

Kaiden also pulled out an Lv.40 Stave he had in his inventory and passed to Gentle Whisper, who took it while looking away still pouting. Cl.i.c.k.i.n.g his tongue, Kaiden sent Gentle Whisper a message.

"Pouty again are we?"

"Hmph, nope go talk to your NPC girlfriend." scoffed Gentle Whisper.

"Oh? Jealous huh?"

"NO ONE IS JEALOUS! Gosh, stop talking!" grumbled Gentle Whisper.

Kaiden lightly smiled as he clearly picked up on Gentle Whisper's jealousy. However, he left it alone—for now, sending one last message.

"When we get back, come to the master suite in the residence."

Rolling her eyes, Gentle Whisper didn't answer but instead looked at Kaiden occasionally.

Clapping his hands, everyone turned to Kaiden.

"Alright, so we have 8 pieces of equipment. I will be taking two as they are set equipment.

Kaiden found the equipment suitable as it would result in a well needed increase for his subpar gear. He needed nothing more than 2 levels to equip this. Furthermore, Kaiden began thinking about future dungeons.

'If this is Elite Mode on an Lv.40 dungeon, they imagine if they introduce other difficulties or how strong the monsters would be in the Lv.50 dungeon for that matter.'

Clenching his fists, Kaiden had a tinge of excitement on his face.

"As for the other gear, it will be distributed depending on the necessity for gear. If no one has a necessity and it will be an improvement to your gear then you are free to take it."

As the loot was being divided, Kaiden briefly sat in a lotus position to accelerate the recovery of his Inner Energy. As a result, Gentle Whisper sent him curious glances.

'Now that I think about it, why would a swordsman meditate like.'

In a couple of minutes, Kaiden stood with a newfound refreshed look at he instructed the team to advance. With the Latahhya and Kriishna he, the formation changed slightly with 3 ridiculously powerful spearheads.

However, as the team advanced the crypt's layout began to get more complex. The was quite like but not actually a labyrinth. Soon enough, turning a corner Kaiden was confronted by monsters but they were far from wraiths.

The monsters looked similar to what zombies would, however, they had bulging stomachs as well as inhuman physiques. Additionally, they came in different colors—pink, purple, and azure. Some body parts were larger than others—some had toxic liquids escaping from their body. As for the last type, they sprinted around the room at o.b.s.c.e.n.e speed.

Gentle Whisper's eyebrows furrowed as her lips pursed into a displeased frown, "Disgusting!"

In light of this Kaiden smiled, it was time to be slightly naughty.
