Fate's Reversal: The Divines Return

Chapter 86 - Riling Discord (1 of 4)

Meanwhile with Crescent Wake Town…

Inside the undone Red Star Mansion…

"Guild Leader WarCry, we have ascertained the activity of the Ethereal Conviction guild. We have set in place teams to counteract their actions. Moreover, we have compiled information on certain individuals in the guild." said Pale Wind as she brushed a hair out of her face.

Ever since she received orders from WarCry which came down directly from Colossal Asylum, she had been on top of the task. Ordering the information gathering division of the guild—she trailed the activity of certain individuals with Kaiden's guild. Furthermore, this became her sole focus for she knew the consequences if she inadequately completed her task.

"Excellent, let me have a look." gestured WarCry.

Receiving the digital document from Pale Wind, WarCry's eyes danced between the pages of the information. It was neatly compiled, with the activity being highlighted. Within a moment, he placed the document back down on the table as a devious expression crept upon his countenance.

"So, it seems they are attempting to snag a few first clears on certain dungeons is it? Intercept their intentions. Mobilize Squads 1 - 6 to clear those dungeons. I want results... as soon as possible! You hear me?" snarled WarCry.

Nodding, Pale Wind had experienced and currently understood WarCry's personality. As such, she kept her inner thoughts to herself and complied. "Yes sir. I will execute the order with haste."

As she turned, WarCry leered at her exiting figure. Although it wasn't the best it had its key points—she was slim and seemingly elegant in her movements like an experienced secretary.

However, after she left the room and the door closed, Pale Wind trembled as her eyes filled with rage. Due to her experience, she could feel his gaze directed at her body. Furthermore, if it wasn't for strict orders from the higher-ups—she would have never come to this guild. But, every talent needed a starting place.

"That disgusting fuċk! How dare his ugly ȧss look at me in such a way. I would gouge his unsightly eyes if I had the chance. This is disgusting! " muttered Pale Wind through gritted teeth.

However, around the corner erasing his presence, BlatantSage chuckled as he witnessed this scene. He found it utterly hilarious when people were powerless to fix a situation. He took pŀėȧsurė in people's hopeless despair; which blasphemed the name he picked for himself.

"Tsk tsk, poor little wench. Just learn to shut up and do as you're told." chuckled BlatantSage as he whispered to himself.

As Pale Wind left, she arranged for a conference call in which 6 faces appeared on her screen. Their genders and ages were unknown as they each currently wore hoods. However, based on their appearance it could be guessed that they had some type of notable combat ability.

"Direct order; you guys are to render the progress of Ethereal Convictions in the dungeon virtually useless. Each of you shall enter the same difficulty and clear it—by any means necessary. Even if you die, you are to clear it." coldly instructed Pale Wind.

Nodding the 6 faces soon disappeared as the call ended. Yet, Pale Wind's mood was still rather foul. Scoffing, she kicked her foot as she equipped her longbow. She was going in to hunt something.

"Hmph, these things are trivial. At least provide some type of challenge." harrumphed Toxic Goddess.

Her figure was mind-boggling and the bounce of her endowments served to entrance men. This was of course the in-game character of Vivienne Hall, the Guild Leader of Nepenthes Truncata. The basic class she picked was without need to think— a Thief.

However, the odd part was she entered the game 2 hours ago...yet she was already Lv.6! Not to mention, the monster she had just slain was a Named Special Elite. Effortlessly and single-handedly, Toxic Goddess eradicated an existence that caused Kaiden and Hollow trouble facing together.

However, what resided in her hands was mesmerizing. She manipulated two twin daggers like they were water. The daggers spun and slithered through her fingers like two venomous snakes. If one compared the dextrous use of daggers compared to Snow Bunny...there was no comparison! It was like comparing a sedan to a sports car. .

Their capabilities were completely unbalanced. Licking the blade of her daggers, Toxic Goddess shifted her sharp, seductive to her next target. A skinny, malnourished goblin type monster.

Lv.9 [Trinaute, Goblin Whisperer] (Champion)

Health: 5,750/5,750 (100%)

Appearing behind the goblin, Vivienne jumped as she wrapped her thɨġhs around the neck of the goblin. Leaning back she flipped, smashing its head into the ground. Raising her hand, the impaled dagger dislodged itself for the goblin's forehead and returned to her hand.

Her actions broke the logic of the game! She was manipulating a regular weapon with seemingly divine techniques. However, this was her most lauded trait—Object Control. It was another reason she was so good at seduction. Her entire being dripped with the intentions AND means of wanting to control things.

Fine indistinct threads were ejecting from her hands which influenced those daggers. Her movements were too fluent as if she was simply walking in the park. This was the problem with monstrous beings! The actions they partook in defied the concept of physics and logic in general.

Trinaute was unable to touch even the finest thread of hair on her body. Treating this unsightly monster as her playtoy, Toxic Goddess delivered strikes at a speed faster than Kaiden was currently capable of. But the worst part was her body was completely still.

All actions of the weapons were facilitated by her mind! Within minutes of playing, Toxic Goddess slew Trinaute. The current monsters were simply unable to give her even an iota of pŀėȧsurė.

"I hope I can find a suitable play toy soon enough...I'm getting tired of those stinky old men." coquettishly remarked Toxic Goddess as her tongue slithered against the cold metal of the dagger.

….

"FUCK! Why is there such a limitation on properties? I refused to believe there are so many guilds or individuals who have acquired properties. This is going to inhibit the progress of my GUILDDD!!! ARRRRRGHHHH!!"

Standing before the Merchant Association desk a man screamed in rage as he looked at the list of properties whose price tags were becoming relatively pricey. His appearance was scandalous, his crooked teeth and smile unsettling. Moreover, his hair was extremely wild.

He was the Guild Leader—First Outlaw—of the Sky-grade guild, Despicable Outlaws. However, don't let the lower tier of Sky rank fool you. The ability of their leader rivaled that of WarCry. They only existed at this rank because not many companies wanted to sponsor them; their means were needlessly crude, leaving a sour taste in the mouth of some companies. Moreover, the guild housed a rowdy, uncontrollable bunch.

"HEY! Is this the right price? Are you out of your fuċkɨnġ mind? AHH?!" As he was in a frenzy, a river of swears flew out of his mouth as he caused a scene within the lobby.

The current price of the residential property was over 18,000 Gold. Keep in mind, this wasn't a guild residence but a normal residential property. Moreover, it wasn't the upper echelon on available properties. Leading one to understand where this fellow's rage came from.

"Um sir, I'm not exactly sure what you mean...but yes, these are the current values of the property. Perhaps if you were more astute, you would've come earlier." rebutted the receptionist.

"W-WHAT?!!" the snarky remark of the receptionist caused First Outlaw to fume.

"DAMMIT! GIMME THIS PROPERTY!" snarled First Outlaw as he snatched the deed, finalizing the process of the trade.

However, as he left stomping out of the lobby, a look of disdain appeared on the face of the NPC receptionist. The reactions of these entities were too realistic!

Moreover, the effects of Kaiden's earlier actions were becoming more and more prevalent. This was the second guild who felt the effects of Kaiden's devious intentions. However, this was far from the end of the snowball effects. The true intentions of the plans had yet to commence.

This was still the subtle buildup phase where the waves were more like ripples. But even the flap of a buŧŧerflies' wing could cause a storm of untold magnitudes. Moreover, behind the scenes things were happening that would perhaps change the way everyone advanced.
