Harry Potter and the Attack of the Squibs

Chapter 34: Throwing the Plate

In the following time, the three of them enjoyed a wonderful time in Hogsmeade. The air in the autumn valley was refreshing, and even the Shrieking Shack in the distance looked less gloomy in the sunlight.

They went shopping like everyone else, and soon had all kinds of candies on hand, and Hermione also bought a new quill.

"Should I buy you some new glasses, Harry?" Hermione glanced at the shop next to her. "The kind that make you look more like a professor."

Harry shook his head quickly: "I don't need it."

During dinner, the three Harrys who returned to Hogwarts approached Lu Ke.

"You need a secret room?"

Hermione nodded: "Harry said you knew where to find it."

Lu Ke nodded: "So which one do you want?"

Hermione looked surprised: "Which one can be used to practice Defense Against the Dark Arts... By the way, would you like to be a sparring partner?"

Lu Ke smiled helplessly: "I will take you to a suitable place first."

So they and Johanna left the hall and walked upstairs.

As Lu Ke walked, he greeted the portrait on the wall: "Have you seen any kittens recently?"

Each of the portraits showed disgust: "Of course they are everywhere, don't let me know where they come from!"

Lu Ke nodded and led the three Harrys to a corner on the fourth floor.

This is a dead end, right at the end of the corner. If Lu Ke hadn't led him, no one would have been able to find it.

There were no portraits in the corner, but there were a few armors covered with spider webs.

Then Lu Ke put his hand on the innermost wall.

A gate appeared.

After entering the door, Harry and the three of them exclaimed.

Even if they had imagined what kind of room they needed, when they actually saw it, they realized that they had thought too simply.

This is an open hall, very bright, with a row of puppets on both sides, and wands in their hands, which look like the kind that can be used to practice with wizards.

Lu Ke turned around and closed the door, then sighed.

"Did you talk about this plan in the castle?"

The three Harrys looked at each other, then nodded.

Lu Ke shook his head: "What about the others?"

Hermione shook her head: "They can't possibly reveal the secret..."

Lu Ke glanced at her and nodded: "That's good."

But a smile flashed in Johanna's eyes.

"Now that you are ready, I can come as a sparring partner."

Harry was very surprised and a little embarrassed: "Won't it affect your alchemy course?"

Lu Ke smiled: "I think at least in the beginning, I only need to appear for a short time."

Then they left together.

Back in the hall, sitting at the long Slytherin table, Johanna smiled and glanced at Lu Ke: "Do you think Umbridge has her own spy?"

Lu Ke nodded: "Recently, when I was patrolling the night, I often heard portraits saying that they were disturbed by cats at night, and some people lost things."

Johanna nodded: "Smart choice, portraits are almost the most common and easily ignored thing."

Lu Ke sighed silently: "Originally I didn't want to do anything, but since Harry and the others have already started taking action, I think I should patrol a little later tonight."

Johanna smiled: "Aren't you afraid of what Umbridge will do to Filch?"

Lu Ke also laughed: "How is it possible? Of course she can guess that it must be me."

After dinner in the evening, the students left the hall and returned to the common room one after another. The Hogwarts Castle fell into silence under the night.

Lu Ke roamed the corridor alone.

It wasn't long before he met Mrs. Norris.

Filch and his cat always patrol separately so that they can more easily catch students who violate school rules and wander around at night.

Lu Ke took out the dried fish from his pocket.

Now he and Mrs. Norris are old friends, and sometimes Lu Ke feels that Mrs. Norris can understand him.

Just like now.

"The portrait keeps being disturbed by something, can you help me look for it?"

Mrs. Lorris meowed twice and walked toward the end of the corridor.

Lu Ke followed.

Turning the corner at the end of the corridor, Mrs. Lorris stopped in front of a painting.

It was a portrait. The content on it was that a wizard was trying to hang himself up, but he was clumsy and could not succeed.

The culprit that kept him from succeeding was the pink kitten.

The cat looked very weird, and it didn't look like what it should be in the portrait, because the cat's "painting style" was the cute and pretty kind of decoration on a magnetic disk.

Mrs. Lorris stood in front of the portrait and called out.

But that was definitely not the meowing sound to Lu Ke, but the low purr between cats.

The kitten in the portrait responded with the same meow, but the threatening tone was obviously stronger.

Then the two went back and forth, arguing, and finally the kitten in the portrait turned around and ran away, disappearing.

Lu Ke was stunned for a moment, and then Mrs. Lorris also rushed out.

Lu Ke quickly followed.

He knew he had succeeded again this time.

Rushing through the corridors and up and down the stairs, Lu Ke finally came to the door of a room.

Mrs. Lorris meowed and stood up, obviously trying to open the door.

Lu Ke hesitated for a moment, then reached out and opened the door.

In his mind, this place was originally an empty classroom.

But after opening the door, Lu Ke realized that this was no longer the empty classroom he remembered.

This should be the office of a certain professor, because it is a classroom, very grand and spacious. There is a wall with countless porcelain plates hanging on the front wall. The pattern on each plate is the same one that Lu Ke has seen before. kitten.

Then Mrs. Lorris dashed menacingly towards the wall.

Amidst the frightened and threatening roars of the kitten inside, Mrs. Norris knocked a plate to the ground.

Along with the crisp sound of broken porcelain, the kitten's voice completely disappeared.

Lu Ke smiled and glanced at the small door on the other side of the room, then squatted down and put his hand on Mrs. Lorris' head.

He picked up the shard of the china plate in his right hand.

This is not a common porcelain, nor is it a portrait of the wizarding world, but another, more crude product of alchemy.

For example, the portrait of the Fat Lady was torn apart by Sirius Black, but she herself was able to escape, and the kittens disappeared completely after their own plates were smashed.

They cannot be counted as dead because they were never alive in the first place.

Lu Ke looked up and smiled.
