Harry Potter And The Prince Of Darkness

Hello Everyone,

I'm so sorry that I haven't been able to put out chapters for a couple of months now. My job search is still ongoing and it's been a very frustrating time overall. This has been compounded by the fact that I switched my area of specialty and have been studying for hours upon hours every day to learn more about the field. With the extended break I took. I lost a lot more than just time to write. I lost my muse that was keeping this story going. During this temporary hiatus, I took to reading some other fanfics based in the Harry Potter world and came to some realizations about my story and the direction I wanted to go. I was so obsessed with sticking to the canon that I didn't realize the mere fact that I kept James and Lily alive and gave Harry a twin automatically made this an alternate universe. Not to mention, the fanfic verses have expanded tremendously on the more intricate aspects of the wizarding world such as Pureblood traditions, the Wizengamot, and Wizarding politics as well as the Potter family history. I realized there are so many directions I can flesh out this alternate universe and still make sure that this doesn't degenerate into some Godlike MC power trip fantasy. I find those tend to be the most boring stories to read because everything just works out for the MC and there is a real lack of tension. Some of the stories I've read also involved written backstories of WWII and the part the Wizarding world played in it. I've got several ideas that I wanted to try out but realized wouldn't be possible in this fic. So, I've come to the decision to rewrite it and create a story that involves some of the long-term plot points that justifies the title. Again, I apologize to all my readers for the delay and hope you stick around as I believe that you'll like what I have planned. Thanks again for reading. I plan on starting the rewrite come the 1st of November and modifying my release schedule to once a week maximum as I still have to study for my career. If anything changes, I'll let you all know as soon as possible.
