Harry Potter's Catastrophe

Chapter 494: Figure in the church

Just like going to a Muggle school, once the novelty wore off, I got bored with the textbooks.

In the first two semesters, I would think about studying in advance, but now I don't want to read at all. It's no different from a normal textbook, and it's better to borrow books from the library.

"It's obvious, it has to be me." Sirius Black said as a matter of course.

"The headmaster hasn't replied yet. Carney said it would be me. Black, where do you get so much confidence from?" Lupin smiled faintly.

Sirius Black showed a half-smile, as if he had already won.

"I wrote in the letter that I will donate a large amount of gold Galleons to the school every month, so that we can build a ranch or a farm." Sirius Black sat on the sofa with his legs crossed and enjoyed the shocked eyes of his friends.

"Headmaster Dumbledore will not be bribed by you." Lupin said righteously, he believed that the headmaster would make the right choice.

"Probably." Now Carney was not sure who would be the professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts.

The owl of the school arrived with a letter in its mouth, which was stamped with the wax seal of Hogwarts.

"Here we are."

Picking up the letter, the recipient was Sirius Black. Headmaster Dumbledore made a choice that was beneficial to the school.

"Congratulations, Sirius." Carney said

"See, I said." Sirius Black was not surprised.

"Lupin, don't be sad. Maybe it's because of your special physical condition that you are not suitable for working in the school." Carney comforted.

"Yes, in this case I have to find another job." Lupin said cheerfully. He was also worried about whether his identity as a werewolf would be inappropriate.

"If you don't mind, you can try the gamekeeper. Hagrid is the magical animal teacher this semester. Gamekeeper is not bad either." Carney said.

"Well, forget it. I think I can find a meaningful job."

"Then I'll leave first. Say hello to Harry for me." Carney didn't plan to stay any longer.

"By the way, you can try some bars, where you should be able to sell the fangs for a good price. There are also magic shops. Vampire fangs are also a rare material." Lupin said. The place he had been to the most when he was wandering around was the bar.

There are all kinds of people in it, and maybe there are people who are interested in that thing.

"That's a good idea, thank you." The bar is a good place. It's true that Hagrid can get dragon eggs in it. Although it was premeditated, it is also a good place to get information.

It's to go to the bar. Carney of course went to the Broken Axe Bar, which he is most familiar with. Vampire fangs can also be used to make potions. They are rare magic materials. If they are sold directly, they will be several times more expensive than pawning them.

After all, vampires are relatively rare, and they are captured alive and their teeth are pulled out. Most methods of killing vampires will turn them into powder or ash, leaving nothing behind.

Although it can be sold at a good price in a magic shop, Carney thinks it's not worth it. He thinks things are not simple. Maybe the fangs have some special uses.

Otherwise, why would other vampires be so keen on this fang? Maybe it's the tooth of a true ancestor, or the tooth of Count Dracula, which was knocked off by someone, or maybe it's Count Nicholas.

The transformation of vampires by biting people is like the development of the line, from the top to the bottom. With this tooth, if you embed it on yourself, maybe a low-level vampire can turn into a high-level one.

The vampires who used to look down on you will be slapped in the face, and then stepped on, starting the road to counterattack.

When Carney thought that it could determine the fate of a vampire, he felt that the burden on his thin shoulders was very heavy.

He hung around the bar for an afternoon. He didn't sell it in a big way, but just spread the news that he had an unusual vampire fang through chatting.

The vampires will definitely smell the wind. It would be best if they could shake hands and talk in peace. Fighting and killing are not good. If the Ministry of Magic sees it, they will warn you again.

After returning home, he received another good news. Carl no longer needed to go to any cram school, which saved him the trouble of finding a bodyguard to prevent the vampire from looking for him.

"Hmm, I hope that vampire just happened to want to eat." After several days of no trouble, Carney thought that he might be too nervous. Xiao Hei was also made nervous by him and walked around the house every day.

Because Carney said that if the house was destroyed or her parents were hurt by unknown outsiders, she would not eat for a month.

In order to prevent Xiao Hei from being idle and doing nothing, Carney had to do this.

Carney almost suspected that he was really too allergic. There was no movement at the bar. Maybe the vampires could not see the Broken Axe Bar and could not enter the wizarding world. However, this was unlikely. Could it be that the Leaky Cauldron Bar was too remote and shabby, and the news network was blocked, so the news could not be spread?

If it weren't for the unusual sound that suddenly came to his ears in the middle of the night, Carney would still really think that there was only one vampire looking for trouble.

"Ethan, you're late!"

"Not too late, not too late. I came here slowly after those two self-righteous aliens, Cade and Madagascar, were eliminated."

"This is really like your style."

"Am I the last one?"

"And Doug, for hundreds of years, he is always slower than others, but we can't do without him, come in quickly..."

Where did the sound come from? Carney heard the sound of someone speaking, and then the sound of moving stone slabs. Carney's consciousness sank, and a fly lying on the ceiling in the church suddenly fluttered its wings.

It was the church in the orphanage. It was dark all around. When Carney turned around, the sound of the stone slabs rubbing against each other stopped.

The weather was not good today, and the lights in the orphanage were turned off early. In the hazy light, only a man in a robe could be seen clearly leaving the church.

Carney waved his wings and chased after him, and he was indeed gone. He flew around the church and saw no sign of anyone, not even any bats.

Making trouble in church? Who was killed? Alien? Hundreds of years?

These words made Carney feel that the matter was not simple. It was obvious that this church was a secret stronghold of vampires, otherwise nothing could live for hundreds of years.

The eyesight of flies is so poor that in the dark night, the flies he made cannot see at night, which makes it difficult for him to detect anything strange in the church.

He could only wait until dawn to search again. As for apparating directly, it was still not a good idea. There was still a guy shouting something that hadn't arrived yet, so he didn't intend to alert the snake.

Carney opened his eyes at dawn, then lost focus, and his consciousness had come to the church fly.

"No!" Carney's eyes suddenly closed, and the last image in his mind was a fly swatter falling from the sky.

(ps: I'm online again. In order not to refund the accommodation fee, the school dragged us to closed management for a month, and then gave us a special summer vacation. Isn't it just the accommodation fee? Is it so difficult to refund?? O-o )
