High School DxD: A World Without God

Tokyo…

Neo's elementary school…

Just like any other academic day in his class time, Neo is looking at the teacher and listening at the lecture with a relaxed face as he already knows what the teacher is teaching the class.

After the first academic period is over one of the more proactive boys in the class went to a girl whose hair is in a style somewhat reminiscent of a bob cut except her hair is straighter around the sides and thinking about the girl he remembered that she is the new transfer student who transferred in the class just a few days before he went on a family vacation to meet the Kurosaki family and remembering of the girl he also remembers she introduced herself by writing "I'm deaf. " on her notebook which made everyone in the class accept her with a warm welcome.

For the past few days before leaving for his vacation, Neo will only have glances at her from time to time without going to have a conversation with her because of everyone in the will pity her but from his understanding, he can clearly see she didn't want to be pitted by others and be on the same position as them which means she wants to be on equal to them in other words she wants a normal life even with her shortcomings.

As Neo doesn't feel like acting or to lie he refused to join them to their acting like a hypocrite and just decided to ignore them.

While Neo is looking at the deaf girl beside him on the same table a cute girl with square glasses and long black hair till her waist asked after fixing her glasses while looking at the boy who is approaching the deaf girl "Why are you looking at Ishida Shoya? "

"Did Shoya also joined the others in acting with the new girl together with the others? " Neo asked with a curious face after hearing his friend asking him.

Hearing his words another boy with short brown hair replied with a serious face "No it is quite the opposite and from the way he is approaching Shiko I think he might again bully her today. "

"You are joking, right? Rikuo. " Neo asked with a confused face turning thinking even if he doesn't like to act but he has a pretty good expression of that girl for her honest and kind nature mixed with her never give up attitude together with the fact that she wants to have a normal life even with her shot comings. 

So he does not understand why would anyone want to bully such a pure and kind girl.

"You are saying this because you don't know about what happened after you left for a vacation for a week. " the girl with square glasses asked with a serious face.

"Do you mean something happened while I was gone? Tsubaki. " Neo asked with a curious face.

"Yes, something did happen. " Tsubaki started explaining about the incidents that took place after he left for a family vacation.

Shouko was a transfer student in the class and she transferred not long before Neo left for a vacation. Everyone is surprised to see her convey her thoughts through written words in her notebook and told them that she is deaf and Neo wasn't an exception either. 

That day when she introduced herself Shouya thought that she was weird and uttered it aloud surprising everyone in the class and to be honest Neo felt a little angry at him for behaving like that with the new girl(Shouko) for her shortcomings.

As the class progresses,  Neo went on her vacation and didn't get a chance of conversation with the new girl and everyone's treatment of Shouko was fine and from afar, he also saw her making a friend so he didn't take the initiative to help back then.

 But later on, after he left most of the people around her were making efforts to help her making Shouya think she was slowing the class down.

It was when their teacher calls for Shouko during recitation and it was stalling them because she needed to write her answer first since she cannot speak properly.

The students around her had to write what the teacher says usually what to answer in their textbook. Usually, it is either Miki Kawai or Ueno who were doing the job. 

Everyone started to feel that she let them down after they lost to a choral competition. 

This started Shoya's pranks because of her weird reaction towards people who act as if they cared when they erased the insults about Shouko but were actually the ones responsible for it.

The bullying started when Shoya imitated Shouko's way of reading during recitation. It was followed when he shouted behind her, thinking she was just pretending to be deaf. 

The bullying worsened after Shouko either lost or broke 6 of her hearing aids until now.

After hearing Tsubaki's explanation Neo let out a deep breath as his dojutsu almost actived because of his anger but suppressing his anger he turned towards the blue-haired girl on the same table as he then asked "I am really surprised that you didn't try to interfere with his bullying her Medaka? "

"It's not like I didn't want to teach him a lesson just that everyone was stopping me all the time. " Medaka replied with an angry red face hearing his question.

"You were saying you will beat him to death and we know very well you might do that with that straight or yours if you are not stopped in time. " Tsubaki said with a serious face.

"You know I was just saying that but wasn't really going to do that. Right? Neo. " Medaka asked with a cute face while explaining herself.

"That doesn't matter because if Shoya really bullies her in front of me for no good reason I am going to make him understand how it feels to be bullied by others. " Neo replied with a serious face looking at Shouya approaching Shouko.

"What are you going to do? " Rikuo asked with a curious face hearing his cold words.

"You will find soon enough. " Neo said with a cold face.

"Don't worry this time I will also take action against him if he makes her feel unhappy for no reason. " Medaka said with a serious face while clenching her fist.

"Look he is asking her something…"
