The man said in a hurry.

“Oh, I am the wizard in charge of the projection stone today. I gathered all the projection stones from the mausoleum at the Duke’s request.”

“I didn’t hear such news. Let me check. What’s your name?”

“I’m Johan.”

I turned back to the backstage as I watched the wizard and Claire talking.

This is the magic Collen was talking about, that wizard is the one in charge of it.

At the end of the rehearsal, the audience entered one by one, while Angel and Lavigne peeked behind the curtain.

“There are more people coming than I thought,” I muttered.

Angel whispered behind me.

“The Duke is here too. It’s been a long time since he came to a place like this. He must have come to see you. And Jade is here too. The ladies will go crazy.”

As Jade walked in next to Collen and me, all the nearby noble ladies blushed.

‘Jade is only fourteen, but he’s already popular like his dad’s son.’

While Jade was sitting unconcernedly, Collen was talking to a man who had bowed. I looked closely at the man.

“Who is that…?”

“Oh, that’s His Majesty the King.”

The elderly middle-aged man had an unremarkable face.

If you would like to characterize it:

‘The neighbor next door?’

He had plump cheeks and a friendly appearance. So this is what a king looks like.

‘Oops, our eyes met.’

As I peeked out between the curtains, my eyes met with the king’s. I quickly hid behind the curtains.

‘I don’t see the prince named Cedric around.’

I looked the seats occupied by the royal family, but he wasn’t there.

Angel continued speaking.

“You’re going to appear in the social world in a flashy way. To show the stage before even greeting anyone.”

Angel said with a small smile.

“I’m not even the protagonist, what kind of flashy appearance?”

“Why? You have the most important scene today.”

Angel became strangely calm.

“Even if you stay still, you’ll stand out today, so you have to play a more significant role.”

“What does that mean?”

“People are curious about who you are. The tiger incident has spread throughout high society. There are even rumors that you’re the Duke’s hidden daughter.”

Angel’s expression was meaningful.

“I’m not a magician though, am I?”

If I had the bloodline of the Duke, I would have red eyes or be a magician.

“Yeah, that’s right. It’s not that. So why are people curious about why it’s you?”

So I’m the one who will be noticed today?

‘Should I be nervous?’

Collen was so famous. I thought about my appearance.

Wouldn’t they ask where this strange child came from?

At this time, a middle-aged worker approached. He was dressed in luxurious clothes, but for some reason, he felt like a courtier.

“Excuse me, are you the royal court attendant, Dihan?”

“Yes, I am. His Majesty the King has summoned you,” replied Dihan, a middle-aged man dressed in luxurious clothing.

“Me?” I asked incredulously, wondering if he was referring to me.

I gestured to Angel and followed Dihan.

When we reached the King, Collen and Jade were standing next to him. Unfamiliar faces, including the middle-aged man and a group of elderly people, were scattered around.

“This is my adopted daughter,” Collen said, gesturing towards me as we approached the King. I greeted him with a bow.

“My name is Leticia.”

“Oh, oh- what a child.”

The king’s eyes widened.

‘You seemed surprised because I’m not as extraordinary as you may have expected,’ I wanted to say that.

It was a moment of embarrassment as I’m not very smart kid.

“She’s incredibly…cute,” the king said.

“I see,” I replied.

The old men cheered.

Feeling embarrassed for no reason, I hid behind Jade. He gave a smirk and patted my head.

“We get along like brother and sister.”

“What should we call her then? She’s not a real daughter, so calling her a princess is not appropriate.”

“Let’s talk about that later. We can decide on titles later.”

“Are you even thinking about titles?”

What titles? It seems that the conversation has gone somewhere wrong. Then Collen made a gesture to me.

“Come here. Let me take you to the stage.”

“Yes!”

It was nice to hear that. I quickly walked over to Collen. How terrible it was to see dozens of pairs of eyes.

Collen took my hand. And I moved, as if rushing him. It was at that moment:

“Ah!”

The plank on the floor cracked.

I accidentally stepped on it.

And then-

The fantasy started again.
